Dream Cat 9A cabins

There will be 3 of us in the room, will there be plenty of room for us?

On the deck plans room 8502 appears to have the extra width, too. You should have plenty of space for the three of you. Hope you have a great cruise.

I recently had stateroom 7004 (a Cat 9A Forward room) on Dream. For those concerned about the view from the portholes in these Cat 9A rooms, I thought that the forward view was very nice and offerred a MUCH greater view of the surrounding sea (or land) than you are anticipating. It is definitely not just a view of the sky!

Thanks for the summary!

My parents will be in 7000 in a mere 4 days. I will post pics when we return!

Thank you! I can't wait to hear what they think of the room and see pics.

I just saw some pics of the cat 9a corner forward facing rooms ...omg! Maybe it's just me, but there is NO privacy curtain and it looks like you are camped out in someones attic...im going to try to download the pics for anyone who is booked for this catagory on the dream..

The privacy curtain doesn't make a difference to me, after hotel rooms don't have them. But some of those ceilings look really low, and since I am 6'2" that would be an issue for me.

Those pics must be from a lower deck, as I was in 8504 and the angle was not nearly as pronounced. The bunk was separate from the couch in our room, and there was no privacy curtain, but that was not a concern for us.

This room was huge and the tilt in the wall was not a factor. The only disappointment was that there was only one window in such a large room, and while the view was ok, it could only be seen from a small portion of the room.

No real attic feel, tons of space for a reasonable price, we were very happy with 8504, but it appears the front facing rooms on deck 7 and 6 have more of the slant in the wall as compared to 8.

I think these rooms are neat and was disappointed they aren't available for the dates we are looking at booking.

I was on the Celebrity Eclipse (very similar to the Dream in cabins/layout) and they have the exact same cabins. I did hit my head on the ceiling once, though because I forgot it was like that...lol... but it's a neat layout/extra space.

Nope, not for me. That's for sure.
I'll take my balcony stateroom any day over that stateroom !!!
I wouldn't even stay there for free

Ok, I wouldn't normally book it, either, but I would definitely stay there for free!!!! I think it's cute.

We stayed in 8504 on the Jan 30th cruise AND I LOVED THE CABIN....I thought it felt very cozy and spacious at the same time. To each his own...I booked this same room for for our next two cruises...

There is also another Cat 9A thread out there that has pics of some of the other corner rooms...they are NOT all set up exactly the same.

It would not be my first choice, but I would not mind sailing in this room. It's unique, not the typical stateroom layout.

I personaly would not want to stay in one of there rooms, it looks a little claustrophobic to me. MJ's pics looked okay to me but the op's looked worse.
Oh and don't get me wrong, I would sleep in an a broom closet to be on the ship!

These rooms look rather large to me. I agree the layout is odd with the ceilings and all but there looks to be a lot of open space. :confused3

Not claustrophobic at all....much bigger than a normal Cat 9 room.....here are pics of our Cat 9B room on Deck 2.

here is a pic from the inside of the cabin of a Cat 9B

At first, just seeing the op pics, I didn't like the feel of this room. But now after seeing a normal cat 9 room, I really like the extra space that comes with the 9a pics shown.

I think that the extra floor space in these rooms is great! It gets old having to take turns walking by the end of the bed to get to the other side of the room in a regular room. I have them on my list of rooms to look for since we book forward rooms anyway.

I was in room 7502 on the Feb. 20 cruise. I didn't think I would like it after seeing pictures before I left but I have to admit, it was great. So much more floor space. The angled wall never bothered me once I was in the room. I did however hit my head once while packing. My sister-in-law was in room 7004 and loved it so much so booked the corner 9A room (for even more room) for 2 upcoming cruises.

I don't suppose you have any pics of 7502 you could post? We are booked into 6502 and I would guess they would be very similar in layout?

Thanks! :thumbsup2
