Dream 5-Night March 4, 2012

I know,I know, my TA says there's nothing to worry about but I wish they'd sort the website out!
The Magic is listed as being somewhere else, so I know we must still be on the Dream, but I just want to see this itinerary changed and back to showing our double dip.:cloud9:
It's been like that for a few days now. I trust her that they can't change what we've booked, but what about all the people that may be booking this now? It's all there for them to book. They think they are taking a 5-day on the Magic dropping by Key west! A real mess! :goodvibes

It still reads...

5-Night Bahamian Cruise on Disney Magic - Itinerary A

2 Key West, Florida 12:30 p.m. 7:30 p.m.

5 Castaway Cay 8:30 a.m. 4:30 p.m.
6 Port Canaveral, Florida 7:30 a.m. —

I'll have to start busying myself with something else!
The cruise journals sound like a great idea. I've seen some wonderful ones here and might just start that soon.
We've been talking about pirate costumes too this weekend.
For those of you who've sailed before, what did you wear?
We're pretty keen on dressing up!pirate:

I was just on the DCL website, and it looks to me like instead of 2 days at Castaway Cay, we are now going to go to Key West one day. I was really looking forward to 2 days at Castaway Cay.

It also says we're sailing on the magic, which isn't (we hope) true. Apparently it is a mistake on the website. I guess we'll wait and see.:confused3

Just been told that Dream is too big to dock in Key West, so hoping we're still good for our CC doubledip!:thumbsup2

Well I just called to verify and they said we are still on for the 'double dip' at CC and the website is wrong. THANK GOODNESS!

I mean, we would still go, it is our spring break and that is the only date we can sail. BUT all of us would be so disappointed because we all wanted two days at CC.

So I feel better now!
Can't wait! Dreaming of this will get me through the winter :goodvibes

Hi all. I have two rooms booked in Cat 11B - one for DH and I and one for our grown children (who will be 19 and 22). Looking forward to hanging out with them in the "adult" areas! This will be our 2nd Disney cruise. The last one was in 2000 on the Wonder. The kids loved it and have always wanted to go back. So glad I booked early (in February) as the prices have shot up.

Hello everyone!!! We booked this cruise back in February :thumbsup2

We are a group of people !!!! We have a total of 5 cabins booked.

We have 2 connecting cabins 11B, one for our 3 kids, and the other one for us:banana:

Second Disney Cruise :cool1::cool1: Last Disney cruise was on the Magic in 2007.

We are all from Montreal Canada:thumbsup2

Hi Guys,
Welcome! I'm the one who unnecessarily scared everyone over the website mix-up! Sorry :goodvibes
Just newbie nerves.
Anyway, I love when new people join. Not here as often as when we first booked so when I get an e-mail that someone has joined it's exciting to see the 'days to go':yay:
Been looking at flights this week as schedules came out recently for mainstream airlines but everything is really expensive! Just going to wait it out a few months 'til Jetblue and few others release our dates, probably August. Anyone booked their flights yet?

I read we have fridge in our stateroom, anyone has a picture of that small fridge? Could we put juice and beer in it??? :confused3

Greetings,

We booked the cruise in March and the only cabins left cheaper cabins left were catagory 8. We have 4 rooms.
Is anybody doing the Fish Extenders on this cruise? We did them on the last crusie we took in August of 2009. We had fun doing it. Also we have the extenders so it would be a shame to waste them....

Hi The Towlers! Welcome to the group. 19 of you! That's very exciting! Our families are all over the world and would love to have the opportunity to travel together someday.
This will be our first cruise. I'm not sure about the FE yet. How many in your group last time? We've talked about it and thought it would be fun but having read some groups have had up to 90 cabins, I think that would be too much to make or carry:goodvibes
I'll keep my eye on it though!

Hi everyone....we are ready to go NOW!!!

I have four cabins booked:

Me(37), DH(46) and DD(4)----Our 2nd Disney Cruise and we will be
celebrating our 20th Wedding Anniversary

DM(53) and DD(61)----2nd Disney Cruise

DBGF(48) and DBBF(48)----1st Disney Cruise and will be celebrating their
50th birthday

DA(46) and DU(47)----1st Disney Cruise

:dance3:We are all excited about getting to spend this time with each other. My DU has never cruised before and I hope he likes it.

We are doing the FE at least between the four of us. This is mostly for my DD.

Hello everyone. :wave2: Been booked since October 2009 when on the Magic and the Dream schedule was announced while onboard. Well, in a roundabout way we have March 4 sailing. We started with a back-to-back, 3 day/4 day booking for Ocotber 2011. Then we changed it to be December 2011 to cover my wife's birthday. Then we decided we wanted Castaway twice but without the Nassau twice, so here we are.
The frig can hold a case or two of drinks. People often will bring their own water or soda. Don't know about the beer being allowed to be brought onboard.
We just got back from a Dream sailing in April for my birthday. If you have been on the Wonder or Magic, or neither, you will love the Dream. It has been redesigned to be more eligant and yet retain that Disney character.
Animator's has been redone in a fantastic way. You know how the wonder and Magic Animator's had wall painting that changed characters from Black & white to colors. Well, this has been changed with updated technology and is interactive with the quests. You'll see. Don't skip your Animator's part of your rotation. The Aquaduck is nice. Some hints for avoiding long lines on another post. The only disappointing thing was the kids pool and the family pool. The Wonder and magic had them sized for 2,700 people and had them located separate on different parts of the ship. well DCL made a ****oo. Both pools are locate midship next to each other. that has created a crowd problem. Then add to that the fact each pool size was not increased to now accomodate 4,000 people instead of 2,700. For those of you who like pool time, it will be crowded. Staff said DCL is addressing this with the Fantasy design. Best pool time and Aquaduck time is in the morning while in Nassau, and Castaway. Get you shopping done early in Nassau and retrun to the ship. Anything past 1pm the pools and slide start getting busy as people start to return from their shore visits. Most people hit Castaway beaches and don't start to return until mid afternoon, so pools and slide are easier to enjoy. We have done Nassau 3 times and thus we made a short shopping trip, got to get that rum cake, and then returned to enjoy the Aquaduck.
I could go on but it can wait for another post. Any questions be free to ask.

Chris and Lynn

I believe there was around 50-60 cabins. It was a good time. Someone even had bracelets made that had "So long summer of 2009" that was kind of the theme for the crusie. We went the last weel before Labor Day. We received tons of magnets, pirate wear and stuff, some people gave mini first aid kits, glow sticks, plus many more items. We received 5 to 6 deliveries a day. Some people personalized it to the kids and some for the whole family. We just need an organizer and a drop dead cut off date. I think ours was 2 months before the cruise sailed.

Has the price of the cruise only went up because the cheaper rooms are taken, or has the same rooms gone up? I am trying to talk my girlfriend and family to come too.

This is our first cruise and I am so excited! I think my kids would love the FE and I am pretty sure I know how it works... sorta... well kinda. Just don't know how to sign up for it. Also .... am I clueless about where to hang it... or do the doors have fish on the outside that we hand the FE on? ok... so now that I ramble about it.. I guess I am confused on the FE thing... :guilty:
But still excited

I'm sure prices do go up as they sell rooms but there was quite a big increase to all categories earlier this year. My Oceanview category is still available and is now about $1200 more than we paid. We talked about upgrading to a verandah and then saw after the rate increase that it would be nearly $2000 more than we paid for oceanview:scared1: Think we'll just walk up on deck for some fresh air!:goodvibes $2000 is good motivation to climb the stairs!

Hello Everyone! We are getting a good sized group! I started this thread when we first booked and then life got busy and I hadn't checked back in. It is so exciting to read all of the posts. I have 3 boys 7, 10 & 16. I know my kids would love to email/chat with other kids that will be cruising. Especially my teenager. He will be 17 when we sail.

We have never done the FE, but it sounds like fun so we would be in if someone wants to organize a list.

Happy Dreaming!
Lisa :cloud9:
