Dream 5-Night March 4, 2012

Oh, I would love to join the FE group. I will keep my eyes open for the link to sign up. This is our first Disney cruise, so I will follow anyone who leads :)

I saw online our cruise is sold out... I have a cousin who wants to go too and her family, there is 9 of them. Should they just keep checking to see if anything opens?

Hi Jenene,
I was looking for a friend too and noticed it was sold out. :scared1: It does change though. People change their minds. I did find, the day I looked, that there were staterooms that could be booked with just 2 adults. That means that the ship has reached capacity for children. It's a lifeboat thing.
Hope something comes available for them....it's fun to travel with family (sometimes!)

Hi Everyone!
I posted a question/poll on the main cruise board this week regarding FE cut off dates and groups sizes.
For those of you who think you might like to take part I wondered your thoughts.

When would you like the cut-off to be?
How big do you think the group can get before we should split it?

There were some great ideas posted and if you'd like to read the thread you'll find it here.

If you want to switch this discussion to the FE group board we can when more people are there! :rolleyes1 Anyone would think it was summer holidays or something!!!:goodvibes
I keep finding myself with time on my hands strangely. Weather has been awful and my kids have been playing together so well. Spooky! Find myself here:surfweb:
Hope you're all having much better weather,
bye for now, Anita

...photobucket account. Just opened one and testing to see if I can get it to work :goodvibes

Yay! It works! We're all having some graphics fun this afternoon during downtime!

Anita (Fredgirls), thank you so much for volunteering to organize our FE group. No toes stepped on here! I just booked such a long time ago that I was the first to set up our thread. I'm so excited to participate this year. When I clicked on your link to the appliques, I got so distracted with all of the great Disney stuff on etsy. I haven't really thought about the gifts yet. I thought I would start with the FE, as soon as my kids go back to school.

Here's a link to the directions I found online.

I agree that we need a cut off date. I don't know about everyone else, but I like to organize my packing at least a few weeks before we leave. I always have big plans and then I run out of time. Maybe since we leave early March, we could make January 1st our deadline. It's easy to remember. I would hope that most of us would have signed up way before that. What has worked for other groups?

Hi Lisa,
Thanks for that link. It's a pretty well-made FE you've found there. Makes my plan look a little lame!
Having had a spurt of planning while kids at camp I too am going to wait 'til they're back in school to start thinking about making my FE. I was going to return to work this September but with both girls starting new schools and with the youngest especially who doesn't deal with change well, we decide I'd stay home. So....more time to plan and make stuff!

I agree Jan.1st would be an easy date to remember. I can always make another group for late arrivals but with the ship almost at capacity already I wouldn't think there'll be many late arrivals after the Dec. 20th final payment date.
Let's watch this space and see what others think too.

I bought my FE on e-bay, You can customize it however you want. The lady does a really nice job.For our first cruise I made them myself however our 2 teen DD's went with us then and we had 2 rooms. They didn't want to go this time so we only need one now.

I will be very sad when the day comes that my girls don't want to holiday with us anymore. Or will I?....;)

Hi Everyone,
Sick of hearing my voice yet? I haven't even started!!:rotfl:

Anyway...just wanted to encourage you to subscribe to our other FE thread if you haven't already. You don't have to 'join' if you're not sure yet but at least subscribe to the thread so you can get in on the discussions!

We're currently on FE group sizes. If you have an opinion speak it now before we decide some crazy number!:upsidedow

My Mum arrives this weekend for 4 weeks. We haven't seen her in 3 years so it's going to be a crazy month! Although I won't be here as often I'll check e-mails in the evening for any new FE wannabe's!
Enjoy your hols guys! They're going to be over before we know it!

:)Hello, I am new to the boards and wanted to connect with others cruising on 3-4-12. We will be cruising on the Dream with 6 adults. Since my DH and I will be celebrating our 44th anniversary, we would like to book Palo. Does anyone have a suggestion on the best night to book Palo? We would still like to experience the other dining venues.

Welcome! What a great place to celebrate :goodvibes I'm sorry, I can't help you with the Palo question but someone else may be able to. You could also try the main cruise board or look for an answer using the search box. Good luck. I'm sure this group's chat will pick up nearer the time:)
Not sure if you've come across the "Fish Extenders" idea yet. It's a gift exchange activity that is an optional fun thing to get involved with. If you think you might be interested take a look at this link with some more info. The first 2 posts are very informative. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2660789
Then join our group if you fancy it :goodvibes The group link is listed on page 6 of this thread.

we are doing back-to-back cruises on this one & the following 4 night cruise for a total of 9 glorious days!!! we will be celebrating my son's 6th birthday!!!

Welcome aboard!! We had dinner at Palo on our last cruise(4night), we chose to do it on the repeat dinner. I think it was Pirate Night. Your dining rotation on the 5night is kind of confusing. It could be something like AP,EG,EG,RP,AP soo....they repeat the 2nd night on the 3rd and the 1st on the 5th. I'm pretty sure the 2nd night is Pirate Night and the Dress-up night is the 3rd night. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, I've already had to white-out my Passporter. Were going to do Brunch this time for some reason we both liked it better. Don't get me wrong Dinner at Palo was very nice, great food:). But afterward we both said next time we'd preferr the Brunch. If you haven't tried that you need to. :thumbsup2, Hope I helped some.

I was wondering about Palo too, if it was worth it. We cannot book anything till Decemeber since this is our first Disney Cruise.. By then I hope it will make sense about the dining rotation. Will they contact us when we can make dining? I know when we go to Disney World, they slowing start sending exciting things in the mail, like bag tags and info a few months before we go.
It makes waiting that much more fun!:yay:
