Double Wide Stroller Should Be Banned

Let's review now that we are up to a bazillion pages:

1. I said lets ban double wide strollers only.

2. Most people disagreed.

3. Some people agreed.

4. OP (that's me) had a change of heart, OK to use double wide if you are certified to use one safely and not clog up the buildings.

5. Thread became funny.

6. Thread has become not so funny as people became serious again.

7. Thread should become funny again... please.

So, this was a thread just to Stir The Pot??? :headache::confused3:headache:

I understand the need for strollers, and we used a single wide when our kids were young. However, those double wide strollers are a pain to get around for everyone in the park. Worse yet is when they bring them into buildings. Often times there is no way around them. I can't imagine using a double wide at WDW is easy either. They should just ban them, even if that's what WDW rents.

BTW, at no point during our trip did I even notice the ECVs or wheelchairs, just the doublewide strollers plowing their way through the crowd.

This is the one stroller thread I can agree with!!!!
:rotfl:

No, I really did notice the double wide strollers being in the way and plowing through the crowds while we were there.

You have to admit it turned out to be a fun thread in parts.

ive decided on my next trip that i am going to get 2 double wides and put them next to each other so i can block off the entire walk way.. im glad someone else feels the way i do about the worst invention ever

Does make one wonder though what did families do before double wide strollers, they seemed to manage. :confused3

Well, I'm off to bed, if I can get by the double wide stroller in the hallway.

Did you really just utter the phrase "anal leakage"? :scared1:
I did! They put the stuff in potato chips and printed right on the bag was a warning that the product could cause anal leakage.

Olestra! I Googled anal leakage potato chips!

And to be honest, I've been nearly plowed down by more ECVs than I can count...but honestly can't remember the last time I was inconvenienced by a double stroller. Strange.

You are the one who chose to have three children close together. I am sure you had good reasons for doing so, and those children add great joy to your life. You also chose to take them to WDW while they are still all under 5, and I am sure you enjoyed the trip. However, I was not privy to those choices, nor have I derived any benefit from them. How, then, did it become my responsiblity for dealing with the downside of those choices?

And you chose to vacation in a place that although all ages love and enjoy, caters to children. If you don't like it try Cabo.

I would like to see Cabo one time...

That aside, what it really amounts to is rude people. There are rude people pushing double strollers, single strollers and no strollers. I guess that there is no way to ban rude people though.

I think the best solution to the stroller in a store issue is for Disney to put great big huge pack n plays outside each store so that parents can dump / leave / place their kids in them while they shop in the store. But then maybe this would get abused by the parents with only a single stroller. They could put their kids in the "holding area" whilst they went into the store, and would be able to shop a lot easier than with their kid pulling things off the shelves, demanding to be bought x, y and z.
The pack and play holding areas should be reserved for those with 2 or more stroller age children. Oh but wait - thats a whole other debate - what age is the tops for using a stroller at WDW?!
Anyway seeing as I thought of the idea, when it gets implemented I will have full rights to using these even though I only have 1 child. It will save me a fortune on stuff I would have bought DD!!! :rotfl:

Claire :)

:lmao::lmao::lmao:

I dont get why so many people complain about kids and strollers, of all the places in the world to vacation kids are kind of a given here, just seems like an absurd complaint

Well, that new bag of chips I bought is now going straight in the trash.
