hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving!!

Delmar, did you hear from YoMickey to get everything set?

can you guys believe tomorrow is already December???
It is going by fast.

did anyone go shopping black Friday?

Hi ladies, just getting some time to sit down and reflect now.

We arrived in Florida at 3:30 on the 14th after a great flight down. The kids were awesome (I was flying alone with them...4 and 2.5) and I was complemented by several people on how well behaved they were. :yay:
Mom and Dad, who drove down, picked us up and we were on our way. We went swimming in the pool and just laid low the first night.

Same with the 2nd day as M&D had to go to a time share presentation that last 1/2 a day.

Sunday we went to DTD. We had lunch at T-Rex with a 20 min wait. The experience was awesome and loud!!! DS LOVED it, however DD didn't like them noises and the moving dinosaurs. When I said she didn't like dinosaurs, she was quite upset with me and said "me like them in a moozeeum" :rotfl:

It was really, really crowded and going into the stores was problematic with both the stroller and my Dad. :rolleyes1 It was also COLD with a really wicked wind. We headed over to MK for the MVMCP and were admitted into the park at 3:55. We went straight to Tomorrowland and got onto Buzz Lightyear. DD didn't shoot anything, but she loved moving the car around.

Most of the rides that we did that night were walk on, or a 5-10 min wait. We should have been better organized and while DS went on some rides with my Dad, we waited around with DD, we could have taken her on some things then, instead of standing around and waiting. Anyway, it was COLD and we were trying to find things to warm us up.

DS knew a lot of the rides from our Feb trip and wanted to do them again, so that's what we did. We didn't even get all the way around the whole park. We did see the castle light up while we were on Dumbo, then saw Mickey's Twas a Night before Christmas 1st show. We did some more rides in Fantasyland, and headed over to Liberty Square for the 1st parade. Did I mention it was COLD? While my parents stayed with the kids in the stroller, I tried to find at least socks for them, but I couldn't (without heading to Main Street) I did see a lot of characters and we could have got some great photos as there were NO line ups to see them. I had wanted to see the 2nd parade, but with the cold my parents wanted to leave ASAP. :headache:

Anyway, the parade was awesome. And once it was over, we headed to Main Street to leave. We did get into the shops and bought DS some socks. I couldn't find anything for DD (and I knew I had some in the room, I didn't for him). DS really wanted to see the fireworks, DD fell asleep in the stroller, so we were hanging around a bit. He finally said he'd see them another time and so we headed out. We were able to see them from the Monorail, tram and then the parking lot. We also saw them from Epcot and so he was happy.

The next morning Mom wasn't feeling well, so we took a slow start to the day. We went out for breakfast and went back to the room around 11:30, when she decided to come with us. We were going to Hollywood Studios. It was cold again (have I mentioned how cold it was? ) We didn't attempt to do TSM, but as soon as we got there, we split up and Dad took DS to Lights, Motors, Action, which they both enjoyed, but DS was cold. (I had his sweater in the stroller with me). Mom and I took DD to see Beauty and the Beast. DS had seen it before and didn't want to see it again, but wanted to see the cars. Anyway, DD was upset that she didnt' get to go with DS, and wasn't too thrilled with the Beast. :confused3 . We met back up, did the Muppets show, met with Lighting McQueen, stopped for a snack, saw the tail end of the Block Party and then walked onto the Great Movie Ride (or whatever it's called). DD was scared, but didn't cry. She was shaking on Mom's knee though.

After that, we did a bathroom break (I was PTing DD just before we left and she did awesome while we were away...she's done now) and got DS into warmer clothes. Then it was time for our reservation at PrimeTime 50's Cafe. DD was screaming for no apparent reason, and then I finally figured out that she wanted her sweater on. In the meantime a CM gave her a lightup TinkerBell that goes on the drinks, to shut her up. It worked, BUT DS wanted one too. <sigh> We order our food, which was all very good, but DS wouldn't eat until he got a Captain Hook one, so I bought him one, with a cup, but no drink in it (for the same price :rolleyes1 _)

After that we walked around, looked at the decorations and stuff and then headed into Fantasmic. We got great seats and Mom bought us a towel to cover up with (have I said how cold it was? ) As soon as it was over, we headed home.

The next morning we had breakfast at the Crystal Palace with Winnie the Pooh and Gang. The kids loved both the food and the characters. It was awesome, and is something that I'll do everytime we go to WDW. After that it was over to Adventureland, a ride on Aladdin, then the Jungle Cruise (2nd longest wait of the day at 15mins), walked onto POTC, and then waited 20 mins for Peter Pan, which was the longest wait of the day. We got to see Philharmagic, walked onto Cinderella's Carrousel, had a bite to eat at Pinnocho's Haus (long, long wait, Dad said they had NO idea what they were doing, and then the Health Inspector showed up. Food was good, BUT not worth the hassle.) Then a ride on Dumbo (I hate that ride) and off to Toon Town Fair.

We walked onto Barnstormer, then headed into County Bounty, the line for the Fairies was 60mins and the Princesses 45m. DD really wanted to meet Tinkerbell though, and so we got in, while my Dad kept DS (we'd lost Mom somewhere). We were through in about 45mins and it was worth it. They were awesome with DD and she just loved every minute of it. She was in total awe of meeting Tinkerbell, who told her that she knew the Tooth Fairy and that her tooth would come in just fine (DD is 2.5 and had a front tooth pulled in August because she'd fallen and damaged the root and was having recurrent gum infections) When we got out and met up with Dad and DS, they'd been through the Judges Tent and met Mickey and Minnie and said the line was short, so I took DD. She LOVED Minnie Mouse and Minnie want to keep DD.LOL!! She was the only kid in there, so she got lots of attention and everyone fawned over her. :goodvibes

When we came out, we met up with Mom and took the train aroudn the park. When we got back, we went into the store again and the line for the Princesses was down to 30 mins, so we headed in, with DS in tow this time. Once we got in, he decided he didn't want to meet them, but was happy watching them from back with me. The princesses were Cinderella, Belle and Aurora. DD was in heaven. She just couldn't believe that THE princesses were talking and hugging her. Belle even fixed her pig tails. LOL! It was a great experience.

Then we bought some Mr Potato Heads, and a few other things. We were able to hit a few more rides, did some more shopping and then while Mom and Dad got FF for dinner, I got our spot for the parade, again at Liberty Square. We were prepared with the towel and I had got a blanket for $15 because I had spent $40, so we were set for the cold (have I mentioned that yet?:rolleyes1 ) Spectromagic was awesome and DD was so thrilled to see Minnie Mouse, she waved her little hand so hard, I thought it'd fall off. She kept leaning into DS's face and saying "It's Minnie Mouse, it's Minnie Mouse" LOL!

After that Mom and Dad didn't want to stick around for the fireworks because they wanted to beat the crowd out of the park, especially with the stroller on the Monorail and Tram, but DS won out and we got to see them, then were swept along with the crowd out of the park, and in all honestly it didn't go as bad as we thought it would.

Our final day in the parks saw us at AK. I'd never been there before so it was all new to me too. DD was PO'd and grumpy because she couldn't sit on the outside of the tram. She screamed for about 15-20mins. :headache: We headed straight to Kiliminjarroo (sp) and it was a great ride. We saw a lot of animals. Then we did the walking trek and got a great view of the gorillas and DS LOVED all the skulls they had on display. We went to Asia, had lunch at the Yak and Yeti (YUM...Dad said it was the best meal of the whole trip) and then did the Maharajah trek. The kids loved the tigers. We went to Dinoland, rode on the Triceratop spin, again no line ups, and watched Dip, Splat and whatever the other guys name was. We had a snack and were able to see part of the parade (from a distance). Then we headed out of the park. It wasn't a jammed packed day, but we were getting tired.

And then it was off to SeaWorld (where Ds had a complete melt down) and Daytona Beach for the weekend. Did I mention it was cold?

Anyway, here we are, back at home, safe and sound and the kids want to go back. So I guess they were happy!

Have you all arranged your swap? I need an update that everyone is still particpating and that swaps have been arranged.
Any changes, I need to know to update.

To all the swappers whp have joined for free, a new stroller was just placed in use 11/20. If this stroller has problems and needs to be replaced we will have to collect to do that.
Just a head up there. If it comes to that I will contact all.

Went out black friday shopping and got some great deals. hit the disney store and hit the jackpot, :woohoo: we have picked up lots of small items over the past few months and plan to give the DD's a gift every day, hoping to decrease spending. :wizard: I also was able to get the free mp3 player from old navy again this year so now I have two I plan to load all the HSM soundtracks and other disney songs and give one to each for the plane and travel time between parks and activities hope to keep them quiet for just a few minutes. :cool1:

Hope everyone had a great thanksgiving, and have wonderful upcoming trips looking foward to reading all of the trip reports.:yay:

Back to the grind. It was nice to get back to the office so I cold put my feet up and relax. Disney is just exhausting.

We had an absolute blast. The weather could have been a tad warmer. We had sunny skies most days and upper 60's. It made it into the 70's just three times in 12 days. We could see our breath the night of the Very Merry Christmas Party. I guess it added to the fake snow atmosphere. The Dance Party at Cosmic Ray's was outrageously fun for everybody!

This is theeee widest stroller. I don't think we saw one that was as wide. It has alot of room for the kids and plenty of storage space below. Good choice overall.

The front wheel shimmies back and forth if you try to push it too fast with no kids in it. We rarely used the locking mechanism for the front wheel. It made it too hard to turn. (I'd recommend not using it to keep it in working condition) Having it locked and forcing a tight turn is probably how this thing deteriorated over time. Also, if the wheel is turned perpendicular to the direction you want to start it can cause you to not go anywhere and cause harmful force on the front wheel fork. With a quick push of one side while simultaneously pulling with the other and also taking a step forward you avoid this situation. You can also lift the front end up if your kids are light enough.

Going through Villa doorways was a challenge if you had the kids in it. Don't even try it, it doesn't fit. We tried it once.....Fold it up and carry it onto the buses and through your room doorway. The bus drivers are more than accommodating if you use the back entrance. My wife would always ask to have them open it up for me where I would have it folded. It's not bad to lift once it's folded.

Most gates at the park are barely wide enough. MGM, AK, AND Epcot were ok.

Magic Kingdom gates are not wide enough so it takes some lifting and angling, do this without the kids in the stroller to keep it working condition. It can be done by entering the front wheel and one of the rear wheels at an angle and then lifting it. Or you could fold it up and carry it through.

If you have older heavier kids do not let them sit or stand on the front plastic footrest, it doesn't appear to be strong enough, abide by the 100 pound weight limit.

It probably sounds like more trouble than its worth but its not. Saved us over $300 in stroller rentals for 12 days. After the first day it'll feel like you've owned it for years.

We did not use the bag of accessories.

thanks YoMickey for this info.

Can all future swappers read it for some useful info on using the stroller.

I agree with the fact that if you just fold it up to go through places with a tighter fit, it makes it much easier. And that even though it sounds like it is a pain--it really isn't. It takes an extra 15 seconds of your time, if that. And saves the stroller, so everyones kids can relax and ride and keep everyone in your party happier, not having to deal with a tired child:)

have a good night, everyone!

Delmar---you should be in the world right now--HAVE A GREAT TIME!!!

Hi everyone! Glad to hear the new stroller is working out. Bumping to help fill those remaining gaps! :rolleyes1

We found several Disney shows on Travel Channel today. We're watching Disney on a Dime right now. Not really telling me anything I don't already know. I guess I'm pretty thorough in my research!

It did say something that made me laugh. It said you could rent a stroller for $8 - $10 per day. Where are they getting that figure?! I looked it up again just to make sure and, no, it still says a single is $15 and a double is $31. If you do a multi day it's $13 and $27 PER DAY. No idea where they come up with such a low amount.

Also seeing the show and reading the trip reports I realize (again) how much we missed. We did a lot and we couldn't have done much more (and we did what the 4 year old wanted to do when we gave him choices) but man there is a lot we missed. I know there will be more trips but it's so hard to wait!

Mayjay - you crack me up. :rotfl2: I know it was cold down there and you were likely expecting/looking forward to more warmth - but didn't you say you were in Canada! So wouldn't even 65 feel warm to you? I hate cold and I am so glad we went when it was warm and got out of there. It is unseasonably cold. We're in Ga and it's already threatened snow. It was just funny as I read it! I don't blame you though, I know you were probably looking so forward to warmth.

T-Rex was very loud. Where did you guys sit? We were in the ocean and were looking right at the wooly mammoths. They were so cute. The ice cave looked really neat as well. Oddly, the ice cave felt warm while the ocean was freezing! We really enjoyed it though and I will definitely go back.

I was kind of bummed that there was no stars and cars parade and it was just the Block Party. I was hoping they would have the Cars cars in the parade. Oh well.

Glad to hear everyone is still having fun!

only to know if rainydaze have received my pm, we are very excited with our trip in february, WE LOVE DISNEYYYYYYYYY:cool1:
