So I have been watching ebay for the perfect placement of a 40th bag at this point any style and I am suprise by how few 40th bags there are and am wondering what is in the stores at disney right now...

I too have noticed that on ebay there are very few 40th anniversary disney dooneys. Hopefully at the disneyworld there are still plenty when we go in October.

When I was there in March World of Disney in DDT had the best selection. That said, I ended up getting the wallet from Mousegears due to placement.

The checkbook size wallets come in the anniversary prints too, they just aren't in stock at Disney Store online. This place has them, but judging from the prices of the other Dooney bags they are probably more than what Disney would charge:

The 40th was $175 when I bought it, but I did get the 10% AP discount. I took the check book part out to have more space for cards and receipts and cash.

I found out it will actually hold a ton. Although the website says it is 2" deep, it is really almost 4" deep because of the pleated bottom. I put the following in it:
- a flip phone type cell phone
- a digital point and shoot camera (in the non-zippered pocket so it is protected by fabric on both sides)
- a trifold leather wallet (in the zippered pocket)
- a 3x5 notepad
- a Pocket Farkel game (six small dice and a shaker)
- a pen
- car keys with two keyless entry things
- hard case for clip on sunglasses
- lip gloss
- a neoprene sunglasses case with 30 Disney trading pins

I didn't even have anything in the outer pocket (planning to put maps and times guides in there for WDW).

The description on Disneystore.com isn't very specific, so here is some more info in case someone is interested. When it is set up as a crossbody bag, the straps range from about 46 1/2 to 55 inches. Part of the strap can be removed from the bag (a center section comes out) to make a shoulder bag with straps ranging from 20 1/2 to 24 1/2. All measurements are strap only (from the metal band that connects the strap to the purse). You can get another inch or so by moving the straps on the side to the other notch.

All straps adjust in about inch increments.

Since I didn't see this posted anywhere, I thought I'd put it here in case anyone is interested. Send me a PM with your email address if you want pics. Again, the purse I had is gone now, but since I'd already done all this measuring and test fitting, I thought someone here might benefit from the info.

DVRCMEMBER is short for Disney Visa Rewards Card Member. You need to log in and pay with your Disney Rewards Visa card to get the discount. I know you have one because you said you'd already used your rewards points. You do NOT need to be a DVC member.

You can use the DOONEY code as many times as you want. It isn't limited to once per person. Several people have placed separate orders to get a cosmetic case on each one.

If the code doesn't work, try calling directly. Their ordering system seems to be having trouble lately. Give them the codes over the phone and they should be able to apply them.
