my weekender tote came! i was not concerned with the placement since i figured the bag was large enough i would get everything i wanted. which is true. the bag is really big, but for the person who asked, i think it will be okay for a carry on for planes. i wont know until september, but the top and sides are soft and squishable.

(sorry so big i cant figure it out)

Great placement! Also as for the plane part, I can post on Saturday what I think since I'll be flying to WDW then. I'll let you all know, but I'm sure it will be fine.

I have noticed that the amount of D&B items available on DS.com is slowly dwindling. I finally decided I wanted the wallet and it is no longer available; I hope its available in the parks (going in June).

Yes, please post if you had no issues taking it as a carry-on. Can you check the availability of the 40th anniversary disney dooneys. Seems teh stock on the disneystore.com is almost non existent.

Thanks.. enjoy your trip.:cutie:

Why would there be an issue with the bag on the airplane? I take bags that big all the time

When I flew in December the airline was being very strict as to what qualified as a carry on. The disney dooney overnighter is quite big. The dimensions are
14"H x 24"W x 8" D. The disney bag seems to be 10 inches wider than what is "allowed". This is info I found pertaining to carry on luggage...

Airline Carry-On Luggage Regulations

The primary rule is the size limit stating that bags carried on board must be small enough to store below your seat or in the overhead compartment. Currently the basic rule is that carry on baggage must be no taller than 22 inches, no wider than 14 inches, and no deeper than 9 inches. In many cases, you'll also have to contend with limits on weight.

Exactly, although the bag is flexible (unlike a carry on luggage roller) so my thought is that it may be okay because it can be squished enough as long as the bag is not overly bulging

I had not thought of that... indeed the bag is flexible and should fit in the over head compartment without an issue:thumbsup2

I most certainly will check for you and all the other Dooney lovers. I hope they have a messenger 40th because DH said I could get one as my college graduation present

Just wondering if anyone has a Lucy bag that they are looking to be rid of . . . I can't find any on ebay, and because placement is so important to me, I'm afraid to take a chance with Disney Store . . . please PM me if your Lucy needs a new home . . . TIA! :goodvibes

At the World and purchased my red and white striped Dooney today! FYI: no 20% off coupons on the bottom of register receipts currently per CM. 10% off with Disney Visa or Annual pass. 20% if you are a premium pass holder.

Online promo code:

Use your Disney Rewards Redemption Card by 5/25 and enter promo code SPEED at online checkout for 20% off

This is for using your Disney Dream Rewards card not the actual visa card.

However there is some type of glitch with their system that has been ongoing for several days in that you can't log in and checkout, so not sure if you can stack this code with the DRVCMEMBER code if you pay with your disney visa, hopefully they fix it before the 25th

What does that code get you?

So Excited!! :goodvibes I just ordered a princess tote. I was going to order the princess bucket, but thought for a little extra money, I could get something I could use everyday for work and for when we go to Disney. I have a lot of junk in my purse, so the bucket just wasn't going to do. I also got the mickey ballons cosmetic bag for 15.00 with my order. Will post pics when my order arrives, which will probably be next Wed. as I ordered my mom the two tone mickey brown slouch bag last Friday and it got here this previous Wed.

I don't know if the SPEED code will work on Dooneys. It says it excludes Theme Park Merchandise, and since they are all Park Authentic, it didn't work on them when I tried :-( It also does not combine with the DRVCMEMBER code, but you can get free shipping with it.

So, it isn't really as good as it sounded :-( Too bad...

I ended up calling since you can't log in on their website and complete checkout. Anyway they gave me the 20% Speed code and free shipping on my dooney purchase they said I couldn't use the 10% drvcmember code with the 20% code plus was able to add the dooney code too for the $15 balloon bag - just have to use your reward card dollars for the 20% code

So I have been watching ebay for the perfect placement of a 40th bag at this point any style and I am suprise by how few 40th bags there are and am wondering what is in the stores at disney right now...
