Thanks to Dees pictures I am craving a Sunken Treasure right now :lmao:
I have decided that it would make the perfect St Paddy's Day drink. Now I have only 8months to go :rotfl2:

We could be great travel buddies!! ::yes::
We're staying CL - does that mean I can email IPO and tell them what I'd like to book, and not have to worry on the 13th?? Do I just give them a credit card? The things I don't think of!!! :worship: thank you!

I'm always looking for a good travel buddy!!!:)

Yes you can email them with what you would like them to book, but you will need to call with your credit card number. When you email them be sure to let them know of any discounts you might have (annual pass, DVC, Tables in Wonderland or Disney Visa) they will use whichever one gives you the best discount. Very helpful! When I emailed IPO I also put that I was interested in a reservation at California Grill... I've heard it will be open by then and really am dying to eat there again! I have used IPO at YC/BC to make my F&W reservations before and it worked out just fine, so don't be afraid to let them make them!! Also today the finalized menu for the booths came out.. I printed and then highlighted what I wanted to try!! Can't wait!

~N

Thanks everyone for your well wishes and support:hug:Olivia Grace

So sweet!! Congrats again!

KerryCM Thoughts and Prayers for you.

How is the food from Hurricane Hanna's? We are on the dining plan and will likely have a counter service lunch from there during our stay. Anything in particular especially good (or bad!)?? Thanks!

We love the burgers.

You may not have to wait that long. Talk Like a Pirate Day is Thursday September 19 this year, and that would be a great time to celebrate with a Sunken Treasure. ARRRRRGH!!!

When is Johnny Depp's Birthday?

I'm sure we can come up with lots more occasions to enjoy this drink!

;)

Quick question, do they still serve the famous sunken treasure??

It's not on the menu, but most of the bartenders know how to make it; just ask :)!!!

Many of the bartenders do know how to make one, and will, but those of us who don't like to leave important things like this to chance bring our own laminated recipe cards.

:rolleyes1

Great! Can't wait to try one!! I'll have to look up the recipe!

Hello Everyone,
I just spoke with a someone on the fast pass line and they informed me that I was going to be able to use the FastPass+ and paper FastPass. Has anyone else heard this? I am not sure if I should take this as a yes :confused3 Our trip is only 12 days away :banana: and I am trying to get things together. Planning, packing and shopping, Oh My! Wait until my husband see's the big disneystore box on our front steps :rotfl2: He thinks I am a Disney nut, but hey what is wrong with that ;) Thank you for any help in advance.

Hope everyone on a trip is having a great time :thumbsup2
For those who are still waiting, it will go by and be here before you know it :)

OK, sorry to ask so many questions, but I want to make the most out of my BC stay! So much info here, you guys are great! I've skimmed the FAQ section, but could not find the Suken Treasure recipe - help! Where could I find it?? Also, wondering if kids can do the pirate adventure sail from BC, and what the cost is?

Thanks, pixarmom, Feckless, WDW4us2006 and Ninja Mom for the photos!

Please note that the Sunken Treasure is no longer on the menu at Hurricane Hanna's, however if you get a bartender who knows how to make the drink, you may still be in luck!

Jeanne and Lily are here and Little Princess Lily is watching Cars with all her Disney friends. She seems right at home ... almost like she was here last week instead of back in December. Off to Animal Kingdom tomorrow afternoon for her favorite thing: the parade!

Checked in this morning to the YC. This was the first time ever checking in CL that it all went the way it's supposed to go. IOW, greeted at the front entrance and escorted up, etc. We were very early (8:00 am) and were offered a room right away with rollaway or we could wait til normal check in for daybed. We chose to wait and started exploring. Thanks to this most helpful group we scored a couple of lockers in the health club, changed into our bathing suits and made "rope drop" for SAB. They actually opened about 10 minutes early. After sliding the slide and tubing the oh so lazy river and reading a few pages of a good mystery, the text came that the room was ready! We're staying in Disney for 11 days with 10 day park hoppers so this was our resort day so it was quite a bonus that the room was ready so early. Our fridge is disconnected, and we are on a list for replacement but it is a minor inconvenience. We drove down so we have a couple of soft sided coolers to keep the important things chilled such as the Pinot and Chardonnay. :)
After receiving our room and getting our luggage with in5 minutes of calling, the DH and I made our way back down to the pool and over to hurricane Hannah's to celebrate the official start of our holiday. Naturally, I had to order a sunken treasure as I was a newbie and it was a rite of passage. Yum as you can see. I asked the bartender, Amy, if she knew how to make one, she said yes and as you can see, voila. I showed her the card that I carry courtesy of you wonderful folks and she showed it to her fellow bartenders. They said that Disney forbids them from putting that many shots into one drink and there was a bit of an argument over to sprite or not to sprite. In the end, none of it mattered, as I drank, and it was good.
So we have a standard view room, just over but a little to the right of main entrance and it's not so bad. Pretty tree, good sized balcony, life does not suck. Kids just had some CL desserts and are headed down to SAB. I'm sipping something nice and planning rope drop. THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!!!:worship::worship::worship::worship::

What a great report!

My sister honored me by giving the baby the middle name of Grace. Long story short we are unable to have children of our own due to some medical reasons, she knew I would have love the name Grace. So my sweet baby sister gave Olivia the middle name Grace.:goodvibes

What a beautiful tribute to you! Congratulations Auntie! Our baby girl (read:cat) is named Grace, and she's a little angel from heaven, as I'm sure Olivia Grace will be also!

Wait is killing me!!!

I just want to pack already!!! I have a spare room in my house that I keep calling my "Florida" room (haha!) and all of our luggage and misc. items for our trip keeps getting put into that room...its a mess!

I got excited when you read this, but then found out you meant something different. Our bedroom and guest room *might* pay homage to the BC/YC and BWI a little more than we intended it to........:rolleyes1 I'd post pictures, but y'all would think I was crazy!

Howdy, neighbor! I am north of Boston.

I started up two View Threads in the Resort Photo Subforum:

Beach Club Room Views

Yacht Club Room Views

The purpose of these threads is to give some samples of rooms in various view categories at the Yacht and Beach Clubs.

.

Also a Bostonian here, and I LOVE these threads Dee has set up! I've even contributed to both!

So many pictures to share!!!

I'll start with a few pictures of the Sunken Treasure in its natural habitat:

I am sensing a trend with those pics

I LIKE this trend!
