Funny, I have the same room in my house :)

Me too:lmao:

Couchy: I have a 3 year old niece that my sister and her husband decided she shouldn't take her first trip to Disney until she was four. Sooooo, I've been planning the trip for two years now!!! LOL!!! It's booked and we're going July 2014. Absolutely NO ONE but her Aunt Nettie was taking her on her first trip to see Mickey. :)

I took both of her older sisters (now 26 and 22) and they're going next year too. I love all Disney trips but that first one is magical. Start planning with Princess Olivia. It's never too early.

Oh I have been planning since the day I found out my sister was pregnantpixiedust:

How is the food from Hurricane Hanna's? We are on the dining plan and will likely have a counter service lunch from there during our stay. Anything in particular especially good (or bad!)?? Thanks!

I have not had a bad meal at HH. I especially like the chicken salad with craisins and blue cheese

Jeanne and Lily are here and Little Princess Lily is watching Cars with all her Disney friends. She seems right at home ... almost like she was here last week instead of back in December. Off to Animal Kingdom tomorrow afternoon for her favorite thing: the parade!

Sounds like fun. I have a fun update for you. Thought I was going to have to stay at the YC but finally after calling and calling and calling everyday I was able to book a GV room at the BC with the pass holder discount. Before today we could only do a LV or club level and I was uncomfortable spending that kind of $$ on an extra trip even though DH is dying to try CL. I told him maybe next time. But I will see you Sunday when I check in:cool1:

Glad they made it safe. Enjoy the time with the princess.

Hello Everyone,
I just spoke with a someone on the fast pass line and they informed me that I was going to be able to use the FastPass+ and paper FastPass. Has anyone else heard this? I am not sure if I should take this as a yes :confused3 Our trip is only 12 days away :banana: and I am trying to get things together. Planning, packing and shopping, Oh My! Wait until my husband see's the big disneystore box on our front steps :rotfl2: He thinks I am a Disney nut, but hey what is wrong with that ;) Thank you for any help in advance.

Hope everyone on a trip is having a great time :thumbsup2
For those who are still waiting, it will go by and be here before you know it :)

I was reading some of the threads on the theme park board and it does sound like you may be able to use both. Not counting on it but it may be a nice bonus. I have been planning a mix of top ride attractions plus the top shows (Fantasmic, Illuminations, ELP, Wishes) We are going on 8/17 so would love to hear how you make out.

Sitting here relaxing on my balcony after our first full day here at YC. Watching a lightning storm develop safely in the distance. Sipping on a beer after our quick HS evening. Being a newbie to the YC now I fully understand why all of you are so devoted to the place. Sunken treasure is on my list of things to do tomorrow!

Thank you for your quick response:) I guess I will see when I get there, it is the testing period so things can change.. Your right about using the FastPass+ for the shows. I already have Fantasmic and Illuminations. You arrive the day we leave. I will definitely let you know how it goes :thumbsup2

what other shows does FP+ let you get FPs for? I'm doing the testing for our trip in 2 weeks but I don't have tickets to link so I can't even play around online and see what I can do; I have to wait 'til I get there and get my ticket.
So for Fantasmic, you don't need to get in line an hour early if you have the FP, you can just stroll in right as the show is starting?

Just plussed our Brown Derby ressie to a Fantasmic package

From what I have seen, there are the traditional fast pass attractions but there are a lot of shows too. Besides illuminations, fantastic, there is the Electrical Light Parade, Wishes, Lights/motors/action show, idol show to name a few.
For the shows with seating like fantastic, I believe there is a separate entrance so you wouldn't have to be there as early assuming the fast pass line is shorter. For illuminations, parade, and wishes, there is suppose to be a designated roped off areas, so again, you would not have to be waiting reserving a spot for a log time. I would note that those shows seem to be available on a limited basis ( I don't see them every day of my trip)

Finally, I should note that there is fast pass for character greetings at most of the parks. Not sure how that works but I would imagine there would be 2 lines at the character greetings. For those, you get a designated hour to visit the characters.

I hope this helps. Good luck planning!

Just checked in our deluxe cl room, after a stay at Grand Flo sugarloaf. I have to admit, GF was a bit of a let down. We are very happy to be "home" at BC ! We got a great deluxe room # 3691 . We were hoping for 4557, but 3691 is just as nice. Full balcony ......... really full, the whole length of the room like 4557. Plus a standing room only balcony that overlooks SAB ! CL staff has been great. Brought us some chocolate, drinks and fresh flowers . Don't have a new fridge yet, just the old one that was turned off. We were told not to turn it on , but when CL staff brought us drinks, she turned it on for us ! Will try to update as we go ......... Heading to the Cl lounge for some snacks !

Enjoy! Sounds great so far!

I got excited when you read this, but then found out you meant something different. Our bedroom and guest room *might* pay homage to the BC/YC and BWI a little more than we intended it to........:rolleyes1 I'd post pictures, but y'all would think I was crazy!

POST Pictures!!! (wear sumthin a little sexy for Momma, and don't tell Tom and Salty!)

I'm north of Boston as well, about 20 miles (and a bit west)!

So you are North West, much like a new celebrity baby.

:lmao:

I am North East. Enjoyed the most amazing beach day yesterday at the Salisbury Beach reservation with a bunch of friends. :beach:

Making changes before my deposit even goes down...

Afraid of Poly renovations in March 2014 so moving to the BC for the 1st time!:cool1:

I am booking a Garden view for my brother, neice, DD13 and I. I would like 2 queens and a daybed. I would like a patio (do they have these?) or a full balcony. I would be happy being not too far from elevators or an exit. Any suggestions on how to request this?

thanks!

Hate to do this to you- but want to make sure you know that BC will be undergoing room rehabs starting after the first of the year. We don't know exactly when the work will start or finish. The work will start on the 5th floor with the renovation of the CL lounge (which will be moved to the Presidential Suite while work is being done). Then rooms on the 5th will be made-over. Then I believe the work will progress downward, floor to floor.

I also believe that the work will be as minimally disruptive to guests as possible, with the areas under renovation being inaccessible to guests and the work happening during the day while guests are at the parks and pool.

If this work is a concern for you, you may want to consider booking at the Yacht Club- that resort will eventually undergo renovation, but not in the time-frame you are looking at. Plus, you have the benefit of all full balconies at the Yacht Club.

There are rooms with first floor patios at both BC and YC. There are some daybeds throughout the resort, not sure how many.

Your requests for your room should be in priority order:

"Full balcony or patio, please, with daybed if possible. Close to elevator preferred"

Note- if you do not get a room with a daybed, you may request a rollaway which will be provided free of charge based on availability.

Let us know when and where you end up booking!

:cool1:

Just an fyi for all of you traveling in oct the dessert party opened today. I got my reservation!!!

Thanks so much for the heads up!

:thumbsup2

Hi

My dates are correct but I am actually staying CL garden view.

Thanks.

Got it! I'll make the change.

:)

I was just wondering about the military discount that's why I asked earlier cause I am booked in the WL for Dec and could only get a bunk room and wondered if the other resorts were like that only offering certain rooms with the discount. :confused3 would also like to stay in the BC in the future...:flower3:

Bumping this. I don't know if there are restrictions on which rooms would qualify for a military discount. From previous responses it sounds like the dates are more of a factor in which rooms you can book and when.

Have folks booked club level with a military discount?

Thanks!

:thumbsup2

Many of the bartenders do know how to make one, and will, but those of us who don't like to leave important things like this to chance bring our own laminated recipe cards.

:rolleyes1

And don't forget tape measures

Great suggestion!!! That way I can measure the cup each time I get one to make sure the Sunken Treasure has not become a Shrunken Treasure!!!

:rotfl2:

KerryCM, I hope all goes well today!

Couchy, congratulations to you and your family!

Our house sitter comes today for keys and to meet the cats -- Saturday morning is getting closer and closer!
