don't know if i'm elated or gassy, but i'm somewhere in that zone...fall 2014 PTR

Oooo that is awesome. We don't get a lot of Disney shows out in west Texas, but we are so seeing planes ii when it comes out. It combines like all of my sons favorite things!

Thanks for the welcome, and for the info on the upcoming Disney things happening in St. Louis! I would love to do Frozen on Ice, so I really hope it comes into town. The movies under the stars look awesome, too.

The only thing that's saving me with the whole surprising the kids thing is that we're going to Disney again in May 2015. Since my kids know I'm obsessed with Disney anyway, I'm able to get away with talking about it with them a little bit. I just tell them I'm already planning ahead for next year! ;)

I am so excited about Frozen on Ice! I didn't see any Stl dates though, did you? I really hope I was just missing something!

I am also pretty excited Tarzan at the Muny, we love the Muny and the Disney shows there are awesome!
A princess tea party sounds awesome! You can never have too much Disney!

I lucked out, Frozen on Ice is coming to San Antonio, so yay! It's not until April 2015 though, and 3 nights, so hopefully I will be able to get tickets!!

Hi Lori!!! I finally made it over here - I'm sorry it took so long; I am just terrible about the PTR board. :(

I'm so glad the girls liked the shirts. That's a huge relief for me - it's always nerve-wracking to make something for someone else! :goodvibes

Your A&E dresses turned out great!!!! Love them!

I love reading about your movie nights. Years ago, I did some of those with Willow. Maybe I should start doing them again in anticipation of our 2015 trip. Could be really fun!

They had STL dates when I looked. It's next feb! Basically the same dates as this past February. I'm excited!! Tickets go on sale sept 29th (day before my birthday!)

Also, I think we should plan a dis meetup for either one of the movies under the stars in chesterfield or the Muny Tarzan show! (Might have to come sans Caden for the Muny...not sure I'm brave enough to try that one yet! Lol!)

Ok well it's not showing up on my phone now. But on my computer there were STL dates for frozen on ice! And they were in February! Lol

However, while I was searching I saw that there are September dates for Disney on ice doing "princesses and heroes"....hmmm wonder if Caden wants to go to another one. Lol it DOES have Rapunzel!! His favorite! Lol

Princesses and heroes, huh? I have two boys, but we did Sofia and Jake Live back in February with them and they enjoyed themselves. I might be able to swing a princess/hero show with them!

Also, having a STL. DISer meetup would be so cool!

we are going with friends to FINALLY see planes at an outdoor movie next week. i'm excited!

we've seen a couple Disney on ice shows. the girls always like them and maddie always declares that she wants to ice skate after we see them. I hope we can get tickets to the frozen one!

I see dates for the frozen show on the main street mouse's article, but I still haven't seen them listed anywhere for purchase. i'll let you know if I find them!

thank goodness you have an excuse for Disney talk with your 2015 trip!

I think we should plan a dismeet for tarzan!! I want to go too but DH isn't so excited about that one.

my wheels are a-turning for a tea party! stay tuned!

I hope you get tickets too! I wish we could all go together!

yay!!! you made it! :yay: the girls love their shirts! I had to hide them because maddie wanted to keep wearing hers. I never did get a picture of Hannah in hers before I hid them.

thanks--I really love the dresses! I can't wait to do Hannah and maddies now!

i'm really having so much fun with the movie nights! I think it's a tradition we'll have to keep!

I keep looking on my phone, maybe I should check dates for the frozen on ice show on the laptop.

I think we should totally do a dismeet at tarzan! I want to see it, but DH not so much, so i'd love to have people to go with!

you don't think caden would sit for tarzan? we always bring a bunch of snacks and the girls are always happy to sit and eat and watch. we also just used to do the free seats when the girls were smaller. that way if you have to get up or leave, you're not out any money. i'd be fine sitting there too if you're interested in that. let's plan something!!

Princesses and heroes, huh? I have two boys, but we did Sofia and Jake Live back in February with them and they enjoyed themselves. I might be able to swing a princess/hero show with them!

there are several of us that get together every once in awhile. you should totally join us! I think we might be trying to set up something for getting together to see tarzan at the muny!

I think Caden would probably watch it for a while. Tarzan is probably a lot of songs. He does really well with musicals as long as there aren't a lot of talking scenes between the songs. Lol. Like he sat thru my little mermaid jr show. But the Muny show starts 15 min after his normal bedtime and the child is obsessed with his routine. Lol. He'd be asleep in my lap within the first 30 minutes. Haha.

But I LOVE going to the Muny. My mom and I used to go to every show each summer and sit in the same seats in the free seat section. We called them our "season tickets" lol
I've only been to 1 or 2 shows since having Caden. :( I think that should change!

I followed you over from Terries PTR and subbed in....lol Our anniversary is Oct 7th we originally planned on being in the park that day but changed our date..to 24 sep -5 oct but close enough to still celebrate at WDW. It will be our 9th as we were both married prior. Oh I am Raina (sweatpeaandevies)mom. Going back to catch up.

hi and thanks for joining in! i'm always excited when someone new follows along. I think you're definitely close enough to celebrate your anniversary when you're at Disney. maybe we'll see you there!

ok....i am a horrible disser! i'm so sorry i've been gone so long, BUT i'm back. i'm shaking the dust off this PTR and updating finally!

so, first order of business....everybody put your dancin' shoes on and cut a rug with me cuz we're doing the double digit dance over here!! :cheer2: that's right, it's only 95 days until our disney trip! :cheer2: can you even believe it, because i really can't! it sort of snuck up on me and when i realized how close we are, i may have let out some sort of high pitched squeal sound.....::yes::

next, movie night! popcorn:: since i'm only doing one a month and i knew we'd be at 101 days sometime during june, we of course did 101 Dalmations this month!

you'll have to forgive the lack of pictures for this months movie night. i told the girls that we could have a movie night on friday because i was supposed to get off work at 3. well, not only did i end up staying until 5, the whole afternoon was a crazy mess where i was running around like a chicken with my head cut off. by the time i finally got off work, i was a little frazzled and not that excited about doing a movie night. but, i'd already told the girls we could, so, what are you gonna do?

first we made a stop at the store for provisions....look out shoppers!

the girls love these carts, but they have these annoying flags on them that say "shopper in training" or something. very cute, but they are right at eye level for adults. between worrying that they were going to ram into my heels or crash into a stranger, i had to avoid getting an eye poked out the whole trip!

anyway, we made it home and i tossed the kids into the shower while i picked up and got food started. we ended up inviting our neighbor's son over to join us, so i didn't take any pictures of the kids since i don't know that his mom would want pictures on here.

of course we did dalmation milk!

we also had 101 hot dogs (because those little smokies come in a package of 101....ok, not really, but it sounded good), dog bones (crescent rolls), grapes, green beans and yogurt. i was too tired to come up with cuter names for the rest of dinner, sorry....

for dessert, i had this great plan. i bought ice cream in a box and was going to slice off squares, then use my mickey cookie cutter to cut out mickey shaped ice cream that i was going to dot with chocolate. well, the cookie cutter was too big for the squares, so we just had dalmation spotted ice cream with mickey spoons! i'm saving that idea for another night when i'm more ambitious and can soften ice cream, spread it out, freeze it and recut it with the cookie cutter. it was still yummy, either way!

the girls actually liked the movie quite a bit. i was surprised. i tried to get them to watch the live action version on netflix once and they chose to go play outside instead of watching it. their friend wasn't such a fan, but hey, you can't please all the people all the time, right?

coming attractions for next month's movie night.....we'll actually be having an afternoon movie tea party! i've wanted to have a tea party for the girls for awhile, so we're finally doing it. i've been hitting up goodwill's and have gotten all this cute tea stuff.

don't you love this tea pot?!? (excuse maddie's hair--she'd just gotten out of the tub and we hadn't combed it yet) it reminds me of mrs. potts from beauty and the beast. now the girls are even calling it mrs. potts.

i can't wait for the tea party!!

and just because i think it's super cute...both the girls had camps last week. they both had their camp shirts on this morning. how are they getting so big so fast?!?

and last....the to do list. i haven't been very good about getting my to do list items knocked out, so i still have a bunch to get to. i need to....

*order my sven shirt
*get our tickets for MNSSHP
*make the girls costumes
*finish pillowcases
*make skirts for the girls

i think that's about all the big things i need to do for now. i actually have a couple weeks off coming up, so maybe i'll spend a day sewing. i'm so excited to be off though that i keep planning things to do with the girls and friends that we never get to do!

also on my plate, getting things ready for the tea party, planning the girls bday party (which i usually do around labor day so my mom can be here for it, but put off until after our trip this year....i'm not totally crazy, i guess), get a few things together for a cardinals birthday for hannah on sept 1, plan a disney dinner for the same weekend (my very best friend since kindergarten and her family are coming to visit that weekend! i haven't seen her for years! we're going to have a disney dinner and then play boys vs girl in disney trivial pursuit. fun, right?!?), plan something for DH's birthday, and who knows what else i'm forgetting. i remember when i used to get bored because i didn't have anything i had to be doing....what was i complaining about?!?

since we're getting so much closer, i'm sure i'll be back more often now with updates. if anyone's still out there, thanks for sticking around!

:cool1: Whooo, an update!

Haha, I really dont notice when you fall behind bc I see all your happenings on FB, lol... :rotfl:

Movie night = awesome!

What movie is the tea party for? B&tB?

The girls are too cool, going off to camp, how fun to be in summer!!

I just write you back some stuff about our HS day on PTR, so go check that out when you get the chance.

A cardinals bday!?!? How cool are your children!? Maybe they need Cards shoes.... :rolleyes1

Totally agree with Terri, I see everything going on on FB, so I still feeling in the loop!

Double digits! Yay! So exciting! :cool1: it makes me sooo sad our plans have changed! Otherwise, we would be in double digits with you!

Looks like you have a busy rest of the summer. Just yesterday, I was thinking, I remember when summers got kind of boring, now they just fly by!

Lol ditto the FB stuff. Haha

I love your 101 meal! I'm gonna need to get on the ball with these disney movie nights. They look so fun! We did manage to watch lion king the other day. No fancy dinner but at least my child knows who simba is now. Baby steps. Lol

Time off??? Dis meet time!!!! Lol ;)

i think we're going to watch enchanted for the movie with the tea party. I've never seen it before, so I hope it's a good choice. I was thinking about doing Ella enchanted also. We LOVE that movie, but id sort of like to do one we've never seen. Also, I don't even know if ella enchanted is a Disney movie.

Yeah, we're doing a big superhero party for the girls joint party, and just do a little family dinner on the actual day. Hannah decided that she wanted cardinals for her cupcakes. I usually just get some fun paper plates or napkins. Nothing too crazy. BUT she is singing take me out to the ball game with her school during a cards game in August. How freaking cute would she be wearing some cards shoes?!!? I also need to talk to u about some Cinderella ones for a friend. I keep forgetting....

it is getting busy. It's my own fault--I got a crazy hair to plan all this stuff for this summer. Next summer we're sitting around and being bored! :rotfl:

im really having fun with the movie nights, even if our 101 night was a little half @$$ed.

Great update! And yes- I LOVE that teapot! So cute!!

thanks! I just love that tea pot! They had a matching sugar bowl and some more trays and a water pitcher. I went back a couple days later and they were all gone. oh well, just gives me an excuse to go look at other places!

i know a lot of people here have a box that they start collecting trip stuff in. At our house we have the chair. It's in our bedroom and belonged to my DHs grandma. We love it but never sit in it, and since it always seems to collect stuff anyway, it seems like a perfectly good place to keep Disney supplies. Without further ado, I present.......

The chair!

I know, its very exciting. Please hold your applause. :lmao: Sorry for the huge picture. I'm updating from my phone and can't edit pics from here. Anyway--we've got some shirts, some fabulous painted shoes, some pillowcases and fabric markers and my Mother's Day/birthday gift, my Mickey bag! And one sad doc Mcstuffins activity kit for the plane. Not much, but it's a start!

has anyone done much with making color iron ons at home? I really want to buy this shirt for my costume

but I'm having trouble convincing myself that, after shipping and taxes and blah, blah, blah it's worth $30. does any know if I could edit the image and print it and iron it on a shirt myself? I think if I could do it for 1/3 of the price, I'd be a lot happier! thanks for any tips.....
