Umm sure you do...

though I hardly consider it a dis-meet. I missed her instantly after leaving her, and I miss her now as I type this. Luckily we love to text each other all the time and we keep in touch, but not knowing when I will actually see them again is always hard.

All joking aside. it amazes me the friends you become on a silly Disney forum, think about it- your pouring your heart on on this forum. telling people about your life! Your family! and we just "GET IT'..
Now? I can't think about not having these people in my life. I cannot think about not talking to them all week!

I know exactly how you feel about that instant "Dis-connection" (Hahaha... That turned out perfect)... Some of the most important people and friends in my life have come from The Dis - and meeting them isn't meeting someone for the first time - it's meeting that long lost friend you've had forever. I understand and I totally get it. We are all so very lucky to have eachother!

YES!!! The road trip is going to be EPIC! I am very excited for it!

LOL - I have my Snow Village up, so that has kept my Christmas fever at bay... Annnnd... We watched Christmas movies alllll daaaay yesterday... We always wait until the weekend after Thanksgiving to set up the tree (because we get a real one) - but some years are harder than others to wait. This year is one of those years. We love Christmas!

What fun Dismeet! I am so happy you and Lori got to meet up and had such a good connection. I really wish I could have been there! Dinner looks like it was super fun! What a bummer you forgot your suit! As a fellow busty gal, I totally understand what a triple tragedy that was! But as a mom you never really get to concentrate on one thing at a time, so I get how things like that happen!

Yay for a late-night swim! Bummer on forgetting the bathing suit at home, though. Isn’t that always how it works – get something specifically for the trip and somehow don’t pack it. At least you found a workable replacement and had a good time.

Guess what day it is, y’all?

IT’S EPCOT DAY!!!

So today I couldn't help but wake up super early… I was up by 5:35am and I immediately set to organizing the room the rest of the way. I simply cannot stand to have everything dis-organized, so this was top priority!

I had everything about wrapped up and Maddie woke next at 6:30, so I finished up almost everything and got her dressed, and then Olivia and Chris quickly followed getting up, soon we were all dressed for the day so we decided to head down to the POP food court together to grab some breakfast.

I must say here how much I LOVED having a preferred room! It was so close to the main building that I didn't have to fret about getting everything done and having everything ready to go the first time we left the room. We could just go eat and then go back to our room and grab all our stuff so much easier! I am pretty sure I will always be requesting a preferred room from now on!

Anyway, we were headed to the food court about 7:05 and it was still pretty dead in there, so we quickly got our food, yummy waffles, and then were done eating within about half an hour.

Sorry, we sorta dug in before I snapped the pic! LOL, won't be the last time...

Next we headed back over to the room, I wanted to have the girls help me decorate our window before we left, so we did that and it turned out so cute!

​

Finally, we were in the Epcot bus line by 8:05!

​

We were making great time, and we arrived at Epcot at 8:25am! The lines were still short so I got in one {towards the left, of course, they are ALWAYS much shorter} with the girls and Chris went and grabbed some coffee from the coffee stand.

​

9am on the dot the music started and they were welcoming guests in! Oh, and side note, I never noticed that streamers popped out during the opening before! Last time we were literally one of the first in line, and we were sort of under the awning and missed that! So it was pretty cool to see!!!

First up, we power walked it straight over to Test Track, Olivia and Chris were riding first, so we grabbed a ride swap for me and Liv to use after. And then they were off.

While we waited I took Maddie into Mouse Gears, she was already getting pretty antsy and moody from waiting to get in the park this morning, so I figured a toy would appease her. This is where we found the Anna/Elsa combo stuffy… lol, this thing. I can’t decide if it’s genius, or totally creepy… basically its an Elsa with an Anna on the other end and you flip the dress to change it up. Oh well, Maddie loved it and it was basically a 2-in-1 thing, so it was perfect. We grabbed that and we also found a pressed penny machine while we were there! Pixie Dust! There was a pressed penny already made in the slot so we got 2! Fun!

About this time Chris called saying they were done, so he took Maddie and Olivia and I went to ride TT. Chris and Liv did stop to take pics in the cars also…

Olivia and I had so much fun making the most ridiculous car we could…

​

And, of course, we had even more fun riding!! See for yourself in the video HERE!

I think Chris and Maddie just wondered around, I have no photographic proof of what they did, lol...

When we were done it was a mere 5 minutes until our SSE FP was going to expire so Olivia and I power walked it back over there where Chris and Maddie were waiting for us.

SSE….hmmm… this was our first experience riding it, it was closed for refurb our first trip, and I must say my first ride on it left a lot to be desired. It’s not that I expected much, but it is an iconic ride and a classic so I figured I would love it…. My issues:

#1- It wasn’t cold. I was hoping for a blast of AC when we got in that big ball, especially after my dash to get there so fast!

#2- It broke down for about 15 min…in the absolute dark with a wooly mammoth roaring towards us, no bueno for Maddie! I had to turn my flashlight on my phone to illuminate the area for her… lol.. then, guess what happened AGAIN later in the ride? Yup, broke down again, this time shorter, about 5-10 minutes, but again, at a horrible spot, when you are going into the computer age and you go through a tunnel with numbers scrolling by, yeah, not a good spot for someone with motion sickness, I had to shut my eyes, it was making me sick…

#3- NO PHOTOS!! I knew from countless TR’s that it takes your photo and you get to see your future at the end, well, I guess the breakdown caused a malfunction bc we just got generic cartoon people, not our own faces- BOO!

I snapped that photo of President Taft as his Egyptian Priest self... teehee...

So yeah, not too impressive for our first ride. We’ll see if our opinion changed later in the trip…

Well, that wasn't too great, but let’s see if we can turn that around because the next place we went was guaranteed to bring smiles! As it turns out it also brought some of my most favorite photos of the entire trip too!!!

Coming up next- The Character Spot!!

We had a 10:35am FP+ for the Character Spot, I have no idea how long the regular line was, but we waited about 15-20min in the FP one… annoying, but I guess it is bc the characters spend a lot of time with the kids, which I really can’t complain too much about, so I let it slide. It was all worth it when Maddie and Liv saw Mickey and RAN over to him!

​

I just love, love, love these pictures! They look so Disney too me with the outfits and bows and everything…and as you can see, there was no tearing Maddie away from her Anna/Elsa by this point, so we just had to deal with her in pictures.

Next up was Goofy…

Goofy is TALL!! He was so cute, he was very interested in the doll and even made sure she was right side up and her dress was smoothed out for the photos!

Then was Minnie! I love Minnie, she was precious, and Maddie even loved giving her kisses!

​

Overall a prefect Character Spot experience! Couldn’t have went better, and we were all feeling very Disney-ish after getting to meet some main characters! We were also feeling a little hungry so we decided to head into the Land pavilion for some snacks.

We went over to Sunshine Seasons and decided something sweet would hit the spot!

​

MMMM, just looking at those photos makes my mouth water! The kids picked out the cookie, I went for the chocolate cake, and then Chris had the famed Strawberry Shortcake. I must say that SSCake lived up to the hype, it was totally delish, my cake was super rich, I don’t think we even finished half, and the girls obviously loved the cookie, bc there was NONE of that left!

While we were there we decided to go on Livin’ with the Land. The line was posted as 20 minutes, but it really only took closer to 10, that line always moves pretty quick. I enjoyed getting to actually read the quotes all around!

We also got the honor of first row for our ride!

​

And we got to see some people picking veggies and stuff, which was cool. I would really love to do the behind the seeds tour one day, I am so into it!

​

Anyway, by this time it was time for our 3rd FP of the day, Chris and Liv had one for Soarin’ so they went to that, and Maddie and I decided to go check out Figment, since I had zero desire to do Soarin’ again. So off we went.

Congrats to Olivia for being a contestant in the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo.

Looks like you all had a great time at 50's Prime Time.

I'm sorry you forgot your bathing suit. That really stinks to have to spend another $50 after you bought one just for the trip.

And yes, the swimsuit thing sucked, but could have been worse.

Oh no!!! That totally SUCKS that you forgot to pack your swimsuit - I know how devistated I would be, because I spent so much time planning my suits for this trip, and I would have been in tears with out a swimsuit.

The one you picked out is adorable though - wish I could take it off of your hands.

Terrible twos or no that Maddie is a cutie. Congrats to Olivia on the rodeo, I'm sure she'll be great, and adorable as ever!!

I love how your meet with Lori went, but I'm sorry it was short. Hope you gals can plan another trip where your overlap is a bit longer!!

Haha, yes, despite the Terrible 2s Maddie is too cute for words... it makes it extremely hard not to let her get away with things, or laugh when she does something she shouldn't...lol

I've got you beat in the shopping department. I'm 95% done. Only a few odds and ends in the stocking stuffer department and 2-3 people left.

Too funny with the Advent calenders. I haven't done that with Little Miss. Do they understand them at 2?

Mine seem to understand them, we just so one of those cheapy ones with a chocolate in each day, but they totally get into it!

Yay! WELCOME! As you can tell, my updating is lacking lately, but I will finish no matter what, so glad to have you here!!

I love everything about this update and am sitting here with tears in my eyes! I wish we could have spent another day together but at least we have the road trip to look forward to, right? i was so excited that our families got along so well! we had so much fun hanging out with you all! love ya too, girl!!!

p.s. i am so wanting to put up the Christmas tree too! rich is making us wait until after thanksgiving, but i am totally in the Christmas mood!

Yea, I know what you mean, our next spin on it was a little better, I see the appeal, I think maybe it needs a better refurb though...
