Don't Do That!

The most heart breaking thing I seen in WDW was at POC. We were behind a family in the row in front of us was the dad, a teenager and a little kid (maybe 6-8 range). The dad decides to start taking pictures with flash the little kid tells him that he is not supposed to. The dad and the teenager star making fun of him for trying to follow the rules. It was so sad they almost brought the little kid to tears.

Here's a good one! In late January, two friends and I had fast passes for BoG for lunch. We decided to sit in the ballroom, because there was an open table by the window about two tables over from the double doors and I'm a sucker for the Disney magic of fake snow outside ( while back home, my family and friends were getting real snow - but anyway ). Sitting there as we finished our meal, I looked up to see a young child, probably about 8 or 9 years old, OPEN THE DOORS and walk through! The door closed behind her, and I couldn't see what she was doing 'out there', but nobody else seemed to notice except our table and the table next to us. Shortly after, the girl comes running back in, and goes to grab two other young girls and they all go through the door! Luckily this time, a dessert cart was being pushed nearby and the CM went right through and led the girls back in! I understand that Disney probably can't lock those doors for a fire exit route or something, but the three of us sat there with shocked looks on our faces - one, that the adults with those kids weren't stopping them, and two, because we want to know what's outside those doors. We joked about it the rest of the trip, but we'd never actually open them!

Little kids licking things. More than once I've watched as a kid licked a railing, rope, chain.
It's better than watching them pick their nose and wipe it on the rail, rope, or chain.

I already posted, but forgot to add this incident. We had two young men ruin our family photo by showing obscene hand gestures on the Expedition Everest ride. Fortunately, I had been checking to see that our photos were being added to our magic band because the day before they hadn't shown up on this ride. When we checked, the CM said the photo couldn't be added to our band due to the hand gestures, but he did offer to crop them out and enlarge my girls on the photo and print the photo for free for us. I appreciated the CM help. It's upsetting that one person's crude humor can ruin something special for another family. My daughter was attempting to put a thumbs up sign on every ride to show she wasn't afraid. It was cute to see it RnR, Splash, etc. This photo was messed up (digital version) because of one person. Not cool.

We opened our 1st floor door at All star music one night to a teenager falling from the sky. He had jumped from the 2nd floor walkway while his buddies cheered him on.
In the dumbo line, a small girl, looked about 3 maybe 4, was walking the top rail like a balance beam. Everyone is staring while her mom talks on the phone, turns around, fluffs the little girl's dress, continues talking, then finally lifts her down.

I'll one up the bus thing. Got on one and it was full. Sleeping four year old in my arms weighed bout 40 lbs. I'm 5"4 and small. Thought I was about to die. No one would get up.. I was completely shocked. Finally this lady hits her husband and points to me and he goes "what?" She rolled her eyes and said get up. I think I said thank you to her a million times.

Also for me. If you're 6ft tall don't come to wishes at the last minute stand directly less than a foot in front of someone short and proceed to put your child on your shoulders.

I'll say too about the stopping in the middle of the road but I've done it by accident. DS jumped out of his stroller so it was stop or run him over. Lol

Also walking in a group and walking slow to block everyone else.

Cutting in line bugs me the most when I've already waited a long time. Drives me nuts.

Have you ever heard the classic: "we paid $xyz, for this vacation, you are going to have fun!" ? There are varieties, also. I love to people watch, but it's sad how unhappy or angry people get sometimes! :(
I have witnessed this" do you know how much your dad had to save to come here!!"
and I always feel sorry for the kid.
I guess that's why they say don't get your hopes up when you take your kids they may not react they way you want them to.
Thankfully my children love Disney and never want to leave.(which can lead to other problems)

When a child is clearly afraid of a ride and a parent makes him go on it anyway. We went on POC one time and a small child was crying no, don't want to, I'm scared as the parent dragged him into the boat. He cried the whole time. Accomplishment - traumatized child and ruined ride for everyone else.

Other problems for me include the opposite. Last time we were their my kid got sick. Flu probably he was 5 than. Oh my gosh I kept begging him to go back to the room because his eyes were half closed he was pale and he kept saying "I'm finda(fine)" in that way sick people do. I had to make him leave the parks. I didn't care that we only got half as much stuff done that trip. I just felt so bad making this kid leave a park even though he was sick lol he was definitely a soldier that trip.

Yes, the ToT picture is crazy, but (as has been said a few times earlier) it is not an actual photo.
It has been faked.

The picture may be a fake, but it appears there have been other fools to give it a go.... The video looks pretty real :/

I saw that on MTWR in DL. The little boy's grandfather was making fun of him for being scared and his mom dragged him on the ride. The kid buried his head and cried the whole time. This was before I was a parent and it is on my to-not list.

If you get on a bus expecting a seat & there are none, maybe you should get off & wait for the next bus - some of the people occupying those seats may have done the same ;)

This happen with my DH EE picture last year. Girl next to him giving the finger in one had and the peace sign in the other. we didn't see pictures till we got home, I didn't think to call and complain. Next time I will. I still get upset when I see it.

aww, poor thing. I hope he got better later in your trip.

I watched a mother feed her 4 or less year old 13 packs of nutra sweet at the plaza restaurant prior to dinner...The child picked up the packets one at a time and handed them to the mom... she shook them down, ripped them open, and handed them to the child, who immediately poured them down his throat. Obviously had been done before. . the kid practically passed out in about 5 minutes and they ate their meal without dealing with the kid. Never seen anything like it.

We always marvel at what a well oiled machine Disney is. Just the number of people they move per day is incredible. It works so well because there are rules, so it drives me crazy when people are blatantly not following them. The person on the back of the parking tram shouldn't have to tell someone eight times to get behind the yellow line. Similarly, they shouldn't have to say no further boarding six times while the family still boards the tram causing the safety message to have to be started over.

If you knew he was sick why even take him to the park. If he got sick in the park, you don't give him a chose. He five. Your the parent. You exposed thousands of people to the flu .

People who take obviously sick kids into the parks because they don't want to miss a day area per peeves. I've seen kids vomit and parents are like oh he's fine just a stomach bug
