Thanks.... I'm a little sad now too. At first it was a relief but now it does get to me a little. But I know there will be another trip in the making, hopefully sooner than later.

ktink, I can understand the mixed feeling as I was there myself last December. We decided to cancel a trip that we were very much looking forward to. We were finishing the home we built when we had a few decisions to make and one of those included cancelling our trip. It was bittersweet but the one thing to keep in mind is that Disney will be there for you when the time is right. The beach sounds wonderful and I am sure your family will have a great trip!

Thanks Jenny. I called CRO today to check on our refund and they said it would be 7/12, which was sooner than I thought. Anyway when I was on hold they were playing all of the music and it made me really sad. Don't get me wrong, I'm really looking forward to the beach but I will greatly miss Disney come this September when I'm sitting at my desk. But I can live through everyone's trip reports and that will fix it temporarily.

Wasnt sold on the Honeymoon suite CL after all.....cancelled....re booked with the new coded for room/package..so I guess I am "paying" for dining....however....was able to go back to a courtyard view at WL, with hoppers and dining..abt $1700! Getting $600 BACK!! yEAH
It never ends!!!!!!!!!! lol

Okay, so in the true spirit of Ktink, our resort change leader, I called just to see what they would say about AKL. I know, I know, EVERYONE is leaving, but I figured the resort would be empty and we could swim all day in the pool. They are NOT making any reservations for this resort any time soon. I can't get a straight answer as to Boma's being open or not. I need to know if I should change my ADR. Just about everyone has dinner plans for Boma so I would imagine it would still be open, especially since the construction stops at 5:00.

stepdisney, don't go to changing either. You would think they would give you a straight answer on Boma. What exactly is going on at AKL?

Well we have gone shopping and got all of our "essentials" My parents said that they might come down for 2 or 3 days and stay with us and bring my nephew so I hope they can make it. It's really hard to tell with my aunt and all. My mom takes her to all of her appointments but she is doing very well after the surgery.

We did add another night onto the end of our stay so I'm very happy about that. But now it is simply a matter of counting down the days. I have to work this Saturday until noon. It's also a very busy week for DH so if we can just make it through til next week it will be coasting from then on.

Keep me informed on everything.

“DS keeps saying Mom it is over a month and some away, how can I be excited!”
DD just wants me to found out if they sell WEBKINZ down there!
I have real planning to do…. WEBZINZ!

My DD is 11 too and is excited about being an ADULT in Disney this time. I told her don’t complain when you can’t get the chicken nuggets and you want them like DS did the last time.

Hey there! I don't blame you for changing that last time. The last time that I had called, it was actually the day before I cancelled the trip they only had the Honey Moon suite available w/ the free dining. I was so ticked off because I had the rooms that I wanted numerous times but then I had to go a changing.

Good luck on getting Kona. Something will open up. I have yet to eat at Kona but the menu looks delicious. oh, Webkinz are virtual pets... well you buy this little stuffed animal and they have ALL kinds of animals and they come with a code. The kids can then go online and register their Webkinz and feed the pet online and visit some of their friends too. They earn points and can "buy" things too. I haven't learned the full concept yet.

I've just sat and read through this whole report, while my kids keep asking MOOOOOM when are we going to Wal-Mart? WE're starving!! Mind you my oldest does NOT like going to WM but as it is time to goget groceries....... Anyway I've enjoyed this report Sorry ya'll aren't going to WDW but there will be another time. We are going to WDW in Sep on our DS5s WISH trip. We are hoping for the 1st week so our boys could go to PPP. Good luck with all

I looked at next year's school calendar and I don't know when we'll be able to squeeze in a trip between the kids and DH's schedule. I'm hoping maybe in May when school lets out or perhaps January. How busy is the first week of January after New Year's Day? Maybe too we'll be able to see how DDs school will handle absences for vacations because September has worked well for us in the past. Anyway I hope to check in on yall before we leave.. Have a good day!
