Doing our first mid-day dinner breaks (and the rest of our dining plans...)

Hi Dis!

So here are our dining plans for our upcoming trip. I'm pretty happy with how they look for my party of 3 adults (myself, 23 year old little brother, whose college graduation we are celebrating on this trip (and whose first trip it is to the World!), and our mom, who is approaching 70 and has some health and mobility issues, but is a lean mean Disney energy and stamina machine on her scooter!). For reference, we are staying at Beach Club and will be taking advantage of our Park Hoppers to have breakfast in France most days, because my favorite food in the whole world is the chocolate chip brioche as Les Halles.

For the first time in all the trips I've taken, I've scheduled two 'out of park dinner breaks', where we will rope drop, then leave the parks around 4pm to hit 5:45 ADRS, eat dinner, and then head back to the same parks for the night time shows. I have this set for our DHS day, where we have a 5:45 dinner at Flying Fish, and then on our AK day, where we have a 5:45 dinner at Jiko (so tempted to try Tiffins, but I ripped my red AKL hoodie that I wear as my favorite pajamas, so I must stop by the Lodge and get a new one, thus, Jiko!) At first I was nervous that we wouldn't have enough time to leave the parks, eat, and come back in time for Fantasmic and RoL, but the more I think about it, the more I believe that the 5:45pm ADRs will give us enough time, especially since we won't be looking to do much more than use our 8:30pm Fantasmic and RoL fastpasses when we return to the parks after dinner.

I'm less worried about losing park time, because for us, we are heavy eaters and the meals are just as important a part of the experience! I'm also fine leaving early enough in the afternoon that we get a chance to check out AbracadaBar on the Boardwalk and especially returning to the Victoria Falls Bar at AKL, which is a place where mom and I have shared a lot of happy memories.

So Disers, what do you think of these dining plans? For those of you that take dinner breaks out-of-park, do you typically get back in time and with enough energy for your evening touring? Any worries that even with dinner from 5:45 to around 7:30pm, that we won't make our 8:30pm show FPs? (I hope not! I specifically chose Flying Fish and Jiko for those two park days because of how easy it is to return to DHS and AK from those places!) Does anyone have any other recommendations for places I should introduce my brother to while he is in Disney for the first time? Any compelling arguments to ditch Jiko (oh my poor hoodie!) and do a RoL Tiffins package for dinner instead? Are there really bottomless mimosas at the Wave? And, what are people's favorite Les Halles pastries, in the rare event that I get tired of my beautiful brioche?

Thank you, Dis family!

Here are our whole dining plans, just to get a sense of the trip!

Thursday (arriving early afternoon and going straight to Stormalong Bay): Ohana dinner at 7pm
Friday (Epcot Future World): Les Halles for breakfast BRIOCHE! Beaches & Cream lunch at 12pm before pool time in the afternoon, then California Grill dinner at 6:50pm.
Saturday (DHS): Brioche breakfast! (Ok, so maybe we won't quite make DHS rope drop), Flying Fish dinner at 5:45pm, returning to DHS for Fantasmic (FP ~8:30).
Sunday: Epcot eat/drink around the world, starting with brioche (of course) and ending with the delicious platter in Morocco.
Monday (Magic Kingdom): BoG lunch at 11:30am, Narcoossees dinner at 7:15pm
Tuesday (Animal Kingdom): Yak and Yeti QS lunch (one of mom's requests, for some reason, she loves this place!), Jiko dinner at 5:45pm, returning to AK for Rivers of Light (FP ~8:30).
Wednesday (MK again): The Wave breakfast at 8:30am (is it true, there are bottomless mimosas?), HDDR at 6:15pm (going to Ft. Wilderness will be new for all of us!)
Thursday (mostly free day, maybe some Disney Springs shopping/pool/whatever my brother liked and wanted to do again): Le Cellier dinner at 5:20pm (Mom prefers Le C to Yachtsman, and can't argue with mom!)
Friday (departure day): Kona Breakfast at 10:30am, before the 'sad bus' comes to pick us up at BC around 2pm.

Ahhh, just writing out the plan makes me hungry, I can't wait!
