Does Disney have connecting rooms?

Does Disney have connecting rooms? Not sure what to do room wise. We have five in our family. Should we do one big room or two rooms? There is no way we could afford a suite. I think two rooms side-by-side would be OK and save us some money over staying all in one room.

Has anyone ever done this before?

Yes, they have connecting rooms and people do it all the time. That also gives you extra bathrooms. Look at the website and on the deckplans, rooms with the arrows are adjoining.

?

We have connecting cat 6 cabins for our upcoming cruise. It was cheaper than a cat 3 (slightly). The only choices available for 5 in a room is a cat 4 (I think).

There are connecting cabins in:

Cat. 10 (Deluxe Inside) on decks 1, 2, 5, & 7
Cat. 9 (Deluxe Oceanview) on decks 1 & 2
Cat. 8 (Deluxe Oceanview) on decks 6 & 7
Cat. 7 (Navigator's Verandah) on deck 6
Cat. 6 (Verandah) on deck 6
Cat. 5 (Verandah) on deck 7

If you want a verandah, but don't want to pay for two verandah cabins you could book a cat. 6 right across the hall from a cat. 11 on decks 6 or 5(aft).

If you don't want a verandah, but would like a porthole you could save money by booking a cat. 9 across from a cat. 10 or 12(forward) on deck 2.

We are also a family of 5 and we booked 2 connecting Cat 8's for our 5-1 cruise. 6024/6026 are the 2 rooms we had and then for some reason we got comp upgraded to 2 connecting cat 4's rooms 8504/8506 and it was SO nice to have 2 rooms and 2 bathrooms! We did a 4 day in a Cat 4 with the 5 of us and it felt so cramped in there and it would have drove me crazy but this way was so nice! We put our kids to bed (10, 9 and 5 are the ages) and shut their door and then we sat on the balcony or watched a movie on the tv. It was really nice to have the extra space and it was almost like having a Cat 3 but without concierge service. We would have been happy with the Cat 8's but the 2 Cat 4's...that was awesome!
