Does anyone want to join the 120's Club?

Well...it seems as if most of us have broken the 140 wall since this thread started so I guess this support system is working!

Wednesday was Profit Sharing Day at my work..I thought I would be in the clear from the cake and celebration food because I was snowed in, buuuut I was wrong. Yesterday I come into the office to see a huge table with Payday and Take 5 candy bars, jumbo banana nut muffins, Cracker Jack, cookies, candy hearts.....OMG!!! I actually did good and didn't eat any of it....but I know it'll be lingering for the next couple of days. Wish me luck!!!

Congrats to everybody who has lost this week! We are all doing great! :cheer2:

This morning I hit 139.4 lbs!!! I don't want to put it in my ticker yet. My official weigh-in day is Monday and I want to make sure it is going to stick. But I am so excited! I haven't seen the scale below 140 in a year! :cool1: My goal is 125 so I still have a way to go, but at least I'm moving in the right direction. Thanks for this thread. It's nice to know I'm not the only in this boat. When one of my friends found out that I was eating a WW snack cake this week she told another friend and they got on to me about how I didnt' need to lose weight. But I know that I don't feel comfortable in my skin and I want to feel like myself this summer. I'm so glad to have you all. Thanks for everything!

Anne

That reminds me of a story a friend told me. Most of the people at her work are way overweight. One of the thinner girls was eating celery and carrots as a snack. The other girls were like, "Can you believe she's eating that? She's already skinny, she doesn't need to eat celery and carrots." My friend was thinking, "That's why she is skinny." They just didn't get it.

So here I was, just about to hit 135. I was even ignoring the big box of Stacy's baked Pita chips that came in the mail.....And then get bad news from school that DS is treating homeowrk as optional---again! Yep, polished off a whole bag! ARGGGGGG I'm going to be paying for it for ages now!

Well..I didn't do good at all this week. Is it just me or does anyone get guilted into eating unhealthy? People make me actually feel selfish when I don't eat some birthday cake at work...or don't feel like going out to eat to celebrate something. Well...I had a work birthday, a going away dinner and my boyfriends birthday (which we celebrated 2 times...one with friends one with family). Sooo.. yeah...I blew my week out. I've been good the last three days though and I'll weigh in tomorrow. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I didn't slip right back into the 140's. Ugh.

Ooooh....AND I failed to remember that this was a short month so I'm not gonna hit goal for exercises. I'm hoping to hit 840..that's 30 minutes a day...I can do that. How is everyone else doing on exercise? It's hard this time of year. I'm still doing the treadmill and I just got a Shape workout through Blockbuster in the mail. I'm gonna do that for a few days and get another one. Rotate em up!!

I'm in the worst mood! Weighed myself today and I've put on 4lbs over the last 3 weeks - I'm back up to 138lbs! AAARGHH!!!!! This always happens to me when I go on vacation which is a worry as I've got a few planned this year! It's not like I go crazy either but I guess a few cocktails here and there do not help... :confused3

Anyway going to have to get a grip and concentrate on exercising/sensible eating for the forseeable future. Walked 20,000 steps so far today in an effort to get back on track. :yay:

Hi all,

I saw this thread and thought "Yay, a club for me!". I feel bad complaining about the measley 10 or so pesky pounds I would like to lose, but it sounds like a lot of you are in the same boat!

I am going to WDW in April and would like to look slightly nicer in my bathing suit, so as not to scare anyone at the pool. Yes, I am a woman in my mid 30's and I wear a bikini. I realize this is a faux pas from reading some past threads, but I'm not ready to change my ways.

Anyways....I am currently 5'6" and 138 and would like to be about 128. We have a LifeFitness elliptical machine (aka the $2000 coat rack) that I have been spending some quality time with in the mornings. I am making a conscious effort to eat and drink better.

Would love some encouragement from you ladies and to read about what works for you and what doesn't work too. :yay: <----this is actually me doing imaginary jumping jacks

Wow..I actually made it!!!

24th - 15 min treadmill / 25 min isometrics

25th - 60 mins cardio program

26th - 60 mins walking (3 hours at car show)

27th - 40 minutes jogging

It actually put me right at goal!!!

I'm also doing good with the Sonoma Diet...but I plan on drinking this weekend. Maybe I'll take weekends off? Ugh. It's so hard to juggle my social life with my dieting!!

Just found this board and thread. I'd like to get back into the 127-130 range. I've just under 20lbs to lose to get there. I have joined weight watchers but thought to find further encouragement from this board. Sounds like everyone is doing great, hopefully I get there. We leave in 6 days for our first Disney trip, so I'll likely wait until we're back to get serious.

Good...I thought I had joined a club where everyone else had already made it and left! :lmao: I definitely would not start dieting or whatever until AFTER Disney. We are going in April for Spring Break (I know, I know...we're crazy) and I plan on pretty much doing whatever I want during that trip.

I've been faithfully doing 30 min a day on my elliptical/$2000 coat rack, so that is a start. I have also started to try to cut out some of the fatty foods I love so much. My problem is not with sugary foods but salty fatty ones!

Anyway, congrats to those who have made it and moved on and good luck to all of us still working...

Oh Heather, if only!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: I'm still hovering in the 136/134lb region - can always be above but can't seem to get below and it's driving me crazy!!!

DH is away till Monday so I'm going to try really hard in his absence - eat sensibly, exercise, no alcohol, early bedtime blah blah blah...

Well done with the exercise and good luck with the diet changes! :thumbsup2 I'm sure you'll do great...

Alright ladies...posting my successes thus far and uh...shall we say challenges? Success...I have been on my elliptical at least 4 days a week for the last two weeks. Success...I have been having a lowfat yogurt, fresh fruit, and no fat milk shake every morning for breakfast. Challenge...no weight has been lost yet. Maybe even 1/2 a lb gained, much to my chagrin. Challenge...eating lunch and dinner are so hard because I have a carb monkey on my back and I just can't seem to shake it. I need to put down the garlic bread and mashed potatoes. And...to top it all off I am eating at Zaxby's tonite. For those of you NOT familiar with the fabulous Zax...it is NOT going to help me on my way to 120's. It's okay though because I will drink diet Coke to cancel out the other calories. :lmao:

Doesn't that just drive you crazy!!! Last summer I went to the gym all the flippin' time and did I lose a pound - no, not even an ounce! So I stopped going, ate a little more sensibly (gave up the starchy carbs - you can do it Heather!) and kept walking a minimum of 10,000 steps per day. This worked and I dropped below the elusive 140lb barrier. But it doesn't want to work for me now which is v frustrating sooo I'm starting the Couch to 5k programme. I hate running but I've signed up for October's Race For The Taste 10k so I've got to find my mojo...

Good luck everyone!:thumbsup2

I want to join. After having the baby I am around 5ft6in and 165 pounds. I would like to get down to 125 pounds by summer.

Right now I do SBD at night for dinner but during the day I usually have a WW frozen meal for lunch and healthy snacks. I haven't added exercise yet but I know I need to get off my butt and do it!

Hopefully this forum will give me the motivation I need!

Hello! I would love to join this club. I have 30 more pounds to lose to get to 130. It's been about a month and I've lost 7 pounds. I see the difference in the way I look and I want to keep going. I've always tried losing weight before but I always lose my focus. I'm hoping that joining the WISH boards will help me along. Can't wait to hear more success stories!

I love Zaxby's! When I live in FL I ate there all the time......hence the extra poundage! Now that I am in AZ we don't have them so that helps....even though I found other food to fill the Zaxby's place :rolleyes1

I want to be a 120 too! I am currently stuck at 137. I'm only 5'1" so this is not healthy. I'm doing WW and started the Couch to 5K running program. Unfortunately I've already messed up my knee on week 1 and have to rest for a few more days. Its very frustrating but I'm determined.
Your posts offer me support, thanks!

It was a rough day today, but I made it through 50 minutes on the treadmill!
