Does anyone want to join the 120's Club?

I could use this thread. Currently I am 132, I would LOVE to get down to 120, but would be happy at 125. I was up to a high of 136 but I all ready managed to drop 4 pounds (I am thinking a couple of those pounds was water, however). I lost a great deal of weight about 10 years ago and managed to keep it off until the last six months, then my weight has slowly been creeping up.

My weight started creeping up because I quit my gym. We had bought a Bowflex, which I was using, but I wasn't doing much cardio. Cardio is key for me. We recently bought an elliptical, so I am FINALLY back on track with cardio.

I also need to clean up my eating a bit. I do soooo good at work, but then dinner is usually not so great because DH isn't onboard with my clean eating program. He usually cooks dinner. We don't eat terrible, but sometimes there are food items that I know I should skip. So that will be the next thing I work on, I can easily make myself a salad or some beans in place of a side.

I also think my metabolism has changed due to age (I'm only 33 but I do think it may be a little bit of a factor).
 
b/fast-light buttered toast(3 points)
lunch-lean cuisine(6 points)
snacks-2 ginger snaps and banana(4 ginger snaps are 3 points and banana is 1 point-having other 2 ginger snaps a few hours after dinner)
dinner-grilled chicken spinach salad with balsalmic vinaigrette spritzer (5 points max) dressing (not a big dressing person so these are wonderful for me!)
drinks- coke zero vanilla x2, 20 ounces water, green tea(diet), hot tea w/ 1tsp. honey, going for another 20 ounces water tonight plus another hot tea before bed (1 point in there somewhere!)

My daily points target is 20 points with WW. I tried NS last week and found myself disliking about half of the food. I couldn't imagine buying a months supply of food and hating half. not worth it for me. I'd rather spend the money on frozen meals for lunch that I know I like!

I weigh in tomorrow morning! (doing this with friends, not going to meetings) I used to do WW and did well, but it creeped back on me. I have to say I am more determined this time around. Not as hard this time so far. I am sure when I plateau, I will feel differently!

I weighed in this AM- a lost another pound! I don't really count it as lost until i KNOW it doesn't come back the following days!! But b/f I started NS for a week, then evolved to WW, I fluctuated 136-138, this AM I was 132.5!
YAY!!!:banana: I am happy about it nonetheless-:flower3: here is to hitting 130 in the next 2 weeks! Then on to the 120's!!

OMG- that is totally great- you are on your way!! This morning I weighed in 143 but I know that I can do it, tonight we were out rollerblading again, but I think that I may have a few cocktails tonight. Got to have some release. I will have my cereal tomorrow-- cheerios/fiber one/kashi litttle milk!! My goal for this week is 3 pounds (no margaritas-my DH is sitting right here drinking one in front of me:) :)
 

Congrats -stay strong! I think it is okay to have what you want on weekends, maybe. When I did WW a long time ago I did my points M-F, but did not pay attention to points on weekends and still lost 13 pounds. That was b/f they gave you this extra 35 points for the week. So I am doing that- 20 points each day, then on weekends I just watch it. If we go out to eat , like tonight, I am very careful in the day to eat lightly, so I can get what I want(within moderation). On another board, they are talking so much about Blue Hawaiians, that next weekend i may make one-that will be my thing to look forward too for keeping in my range for the week!
My goal is 1-2 solid pounds per week. 131 is my goal for this week-since I am at 132.5 this week. I was 130 when I did the half marathon in 2003, but I was much more fit. I have NOT incorporated exersize like I would like too yet!

Hey Lori,
Your girls are so cute, I guess I didn't see the picture b4, anyway last night wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, I had 1 1/2 small glasses of vodka/lemon (chilled) I didn't think that I want to go down the road of 700 calories like my DH!!! Had my good breakfast today then I had a pria bar for snack--still had got all my morning water in yet!! but I will. I would like to find out what is in a blue hawaiian!! Good luck to you!!
 
hey, I failed miserably today. I have to say that I don't feel that bad though:scared1: . We went blueberry pickin' today:woohoo: and I munched on blueberries all day(sweet and YUM). The owner of the orchard gave us a recipe for a blueberry sauce to use for ice cream and pie-I made it and had it warm on top of vanilla ice cream. It was mmmmm,mmmmm good!

I will go back to my points tomorrow and stay on it. I will be adding the berries to my diet since (unsugared, uncooked, and not on top of ice cream:rotfl: ) they are sooo healthy!

Hey Lori,
Don't worry about it...That's why I like to make sure that I give myself a "treat" everyday or I will FALL off my diet terribly!! So I have 1 Hershey Kiss after dinner (I would like to have a handful) but it is much better having 1 than totally cheating!! Now for me Friday is going to a terrible day...DH & I have a wine tasting to go to, not just wine, great food (samples) but also desserts too!! :scared1: I know that I won't go OVERBOARD because I have to think about my goal & also it's going to be like 90+ (hot & humid too) Good luck, tomorrow I will weight in @ my parents, I hope that I did @ least 2 pounds this week, I did 100 sit-ups everyday, rollerbladed to the the bus stop, & then roolerbladed @ night w/neighbors for a while.
 
:cool1: Wow, I got on the scale Friday night (with clothes on & I was about 143) went to take a shower for our wine tasting & was 140 :cool1: :cool1: Then the next morning --afternoon I did it again & I was still 140!! Didn't go over board @ the wine tasting but & did have strawberries w/whipped cream & 1 chocolate covered pretzel w/mm's & a couple glasses of wine...still so happy!!! I will do a different workout this week, maybe not rollerblading. Good luck to everyone
 
Got on the scale yesterday and am down to 133 .... with goal being 125. Only 4 pounds left to get into the 120s! :cool1:
 
Abbybeth -- good job, I'm sure that you will be in the 120's by next weekend (if not already)
This week was not good for me AT ALL!! We had something about DD school, then the end of school party but I did do much better (after I got on the scale & gained :eek: 2 pounds) but I have been eating good again, I will get out there & exercise today even though it is 90!! (more sweat!!)
 
haven't been doing so well- DD's had thier first VBS this week (second and
I'm working this upcoming week's VBS). DH was off all week, we paintted and upgraded our home and PC and we were up till 1-2am every night. I had to work Thurs and this weekend and we are exhausted. We ate out a lot this week since every time it was time to cook, I was right in the middle of a wall or trim or something. I hope all the work kept me under contol. We certainly did NOT stop this week-and I have the upcoming week of controlled chaos from 9-12 noon every day this week! Do I make any sense at all???:confused3

Can I tell you all how frustrated I am? I am stuck at 131/132. I cannot get below that. I am eating less and working out more and my weight WILL NOT BUDGE. And I can't even say I am toning up and losing inches. ARGHHHHHHH.

I visited my primary care physician on Tuesday because this is not at all normal for me. I had some other issues to discuss, but this was one area we covered. He said I am a healthy weight and I shouldn't get on myself. But I told him I feel like crap at this weight. Upon further examination he thinks I may be having thyroid issues. I have a script for bloodwork but I haven't gone yet. I hate the lab I have to go to...it's like a third world nation in a not great part of town (this is the ONLY complaint I have with my health insurance carrier).

Anyway, I am tired of watching every nibble of food that passes my lips and tired of working my butt off and seeing NO results. Sigh...:headache:
