Does anyone want to join the 120's Club?

I finally stepped on the eliptical last night. Only managed about 10 minutes before the baby woke up from her nap and started howling about a bottle. Today is another try! Maybe I can make 15 mins :goodvibes

Welllll....I'm back. I had fallen off the wagon and now that it's after Easter and I am sick of eating myself into an oblivion I'm gonna crack down. Yes...I know I'm going to the world next week...but I'm talking about when I'm in real life OH. LOL!

I was amazingly good yesterday and then I got home from the BFs family's house to find a plate of cookies which I ate half of. Ugh. I threw the rest away and went to bed upset. NO MORE! I'm moving into my condo May 1st so the metaphorical "Mom's plate of cookies" in my life will be no more....

How did everyone else do yesterday???

Hi all - I'm a fairly new DISer and today is my first time venturing into the WISH forums. I usually try to eat fairly healthy, but we have been out of town and decided to not to think about our upcoming diet and just gorge. Today was my first time on my scale in about a month, and I was absolutely shocked! Before I had kids, I was about 130 (still was fairly heavy for my 5'2 frame, I never was thin). After my first child, I usually hovered around 142 or so, then after my son, hovered around 155...more or less whenever I would be dieting. I knew I gained weight over the past few weeks as my clothes were fitting tighter, but I was up to 163 this morning!! Yikes! I'm hoping that some of it is water weight that will go away after I eat healthy once again, but we shall see. Like I said before, I have never been thin growing up, but I would love to at least get down to what I was before kids, and maybe push it to the 120's. DH is on board with me, and we are doing this together, so that will make it easier having a partner. I am too embarrassed to actually let him know how much I weigh, even though he probably knows, but at least here I can post numbers and feel good about results. We are moving this summer overseas, and I won't be working and will be staying home with the kids. My goal is to be not too embarrassed to wear a bathing suit and be able to take my kids to the pool often over the summer.

I WILL join you eventually. According to the weight chart 128 is the highest I should be to not be considered overweight.

That seems SOOOOO low to me right now. I will need to lose 40 pounds to get there. It just doesn't seem possible!

But I am trying and right now my goal is to get under 150.

I should just look at my successes and go from there. I have lost 20 pounds in the last 6 months. I would love for it to be faster, but it isn't.

Dawn

Eck! I fell/jumped off the wagon in the last week. Darn Easter candies

I am up two pounds so I gotta shape up my eating and exercise. Today is a another day!

Hope everyone is doing better than me!

Doing good so far! Day 3 for me, which I know is too soon to judge anything, but my problem isn't staying on a diet, its actually starting one! So 3 whole days for me is a good start. I lost 5 pounds already, but I must have been extremely bloated and carried water weight, because I was at an all-time high that I never get to (darn those vacations!). I think now any weightloss will be true weightloss, but those first 5 pounds were still motivating, nonetheless. I walked on my treadmill last night. I hate running, but I love walking on it while watching tv. I think its hilarious, though...spent an hour walking at 3mph watching food network! :rotfl2: I'd love to break the 130 barrier which I havent done in about 7 years, so 29 more pounds to go :)

Ooh, I want to join your group. I want to get into the 120's. Haven't weighed 120 since middle school. I've always been overweight. I had a lot of success on WW a few years back and lost 40lbs. I've gained it all back in the last four years plus a few pounds. Yikes! I really need some encouragement to get my bu*t back in the gym.

I would like to join too. We moved about 7 months ago and remodeled the entire upstairs in our house. Well my workouts and eating slipped and I put on 20lbs.

I would love to get back to 115, but to be honest if I see anything below 125 I will be a happy camper!!

I jogged today 1.5 miles at a 12 minute mile pace. Tomorrow I have an upper body workout on tap and more jogging.

I am SO happy to find this thread! I just joined WISH today and felt weird about posting my weight loss goals - I was really afraid of getting some comments because I really just want to lose 15-20 pounds. My goal end weight is 120 even.

I was an active, slim athlete through high school and college (Ferris State University track & field - go Dawgs!) but with running injuries (read: 2 stress fractures - I ended up throwing javelin for 4 years instead of being able to compete in running events) and going to grad school and now being out on my own .... I'm probably in the 135-140 range depending on the day. I hate it! I feel so sluggish and unhealthy. I'm going to start running/walking again. I signed myself up for my first 5k road race in 5 years at the end of June. I'm going to WDW for the first time ever in September .... 4 months to go. I don't know if I'll look the entire 20 pounds by then, but I want to try.

I've just found that it's really REALLY hard to cook for myself on my own. It seems like these recipies I find are built for 3-4 people so unless it's something I want to be eating for the rest of the week, or that can keep that long, I waste a lot of $. I don't eat out (I have to pay off student loans) but dinner when I get home from work is usually some instant mashed potatoes or a PBJ.

Any suggestions? My best friend is trying to get me started on the Zone diet ... so we'll see.

anyways, hi everyone!

I am definitely in on this if it ain't too late!! When I got married I was 115 and over the years -after 2 kids and one got leukemia (I gained the MOST during that time period)-I fluctuate but not horribly. I am at 138 and feel yucky. I know that is not horrible to what goals some have but would feel GREAT to get back b/t 120-125. And heck, I grew up in New Orleans(nearby) and there aren't many low fat yummy's here!!
I love food.
I will be starting to lose now. I am getting NS too. But I want to keep it off. I mostly have to get back into walking. I have a hard time finding the time and when I have time, the opportunity does not present itself. If I excersized now-I wouldn't feel so yucky.

Thanks!! Lori

Hi!! I would like to join--I would like to be 115 (but lets be realistic-I know that the last 5-10 will be the hard--as if the rest won't!!) but I will be so happy :cool1: with 120!! Right now I am 148 :scared1: but I will do it, I hope! Good luck to everyone-I only have about 4 months to do it!!

I am starting NS sometime this weekend-or maybe Monday. I got it in 2 days ago and am not starting it qqqquuuuiiiittttteeeee yet-not feeling to hot right now and that will be gone in a few days!! Starting a walking regimen too. I started walking again a few weeks ago but have not been consistent(story of my life!!)

Good luck ya'll!!

Is "NS" Nutri System???? I'm just curious, I would love to do a diet pill, but I know that I will lose the weight, but it will come back most times double!! Good luck, right now I have "added" weight--that time of month!!Was ok today, but I'm sitting here & my stomach is grrrrrr!! Oh well, here's to a lowfat, low carb weekend!!

I will weight myself later today but, I have been doing really good...I think that yesterday I drank at least a gallon of water! I don't know if anyone else is still doing this thread but Good Luck.

NS-nutrisystem-okay, NOT continuing this program. I got a great deal on it, but half the food I have had this week is GROSS. I know I can do better with WW and eating what I have and getting frozen low fat meals for some lunches. I did NS for a week and can't take it-not eating with my family is me,at least for dinner. the rest I can handle. Also, spending my life in the bathroom with all the water-will keep that up and I can tell you I have lost 2-3 pounds this past week with NS(did it to a tee)-but STILL returning the food for a refund!

Chick Peas w/ Tomatoes - Balsamic Dressing - low fat
No Fat Fudgie (Tofutti)
5 Baked Tostitoes with Salsa
Salad for Dinner at Wedding - no drinks except water

Hi there zakatak!

I'm with ya! :thumbsup2 I really, REALLY want to lose 14 lbs to get me down a dress size (and to 120 lbs) for my September cruise - when's Labor Day (sorry, I'm a Brit and not up to speed on US holidays...) Over the past 2 years I've lost 30lbs and kept it off so I'm really down to the final hurdle... :)

Today I've had grilled bacon, baked eggs, grilled tomatoes and mushrooms. For supper I had two home made chicken fajitas with veggies. I've also had 2 squares of 85% cocoa dark choccie. :cloud9:

I've drunk 1.5 litres of water and had 2 glasses of sparkling wine.

Exercise: I've walked 20000 steps - equivalent to 7.5 miles. I've spent 7 minutes doing abwork on the Bean...

I am going to give up the following for good: wheat, diet sodas...
I am going to lessen the quantity of: alcohol, caffeine...
I am going to increase the quantity of: exercise, water, fruit...

Good luck!

Hi Karen,

Labor Day at the end of August / beginning of September usually.

Ok, yesterday didn't end as well as it started: I had some wine at the wedding and it went down hill from there - ending in candy at Pirates 3 last night. :lmao:

Back to the beginning! Today is it... no more tomorrows!

Having lunch right now and then I'll head out for a walk.

I will weigh in tomorrow for an official start weight!

Well today I did ok, didn't work out as much as I wanted to but I did rollerblade w/my neighbors for awhile. I must say that I have my work in for me to lost all I want to lose...this weekend was BAD, I had a party on Sat, Sun, Mon & then tonight i had a cheeseburger & chicken pasta salad for dinner. I did 100 situps tonight though. I will weight in on Friday (my scale is broken & I'll go to my parents)

I am like WW better than NS. I am really focused on staying in my range and have been with exception of Memorial day-but I still didn't do bad!

I want to lose 20-but I am making small goals of 5 pounds at a time-I will hopefully be there by next week! I weigh in on Thursdays- I think I will be down about 3-4 pounds.

God luck everyone!

Breakfast 1/2 cup cereal with 1/3 cup fat free milk
Lunch-Lean Cuisine
Dinner-3/4 of a pork chop with a new potato and onions
Snacks -WW cake(that weak time b/t 3-6pm) and 4 ginger snaps(tonight at 10pm)
Drinks-1 sm. cup of coke zero with vanilla, and water, water, water!
