Does anyone else dislike Space Mountain? isnt it just overrated.

I will ride it, but only as the last thing before leaving. Then I can soak or medicate the aches as necessary...

We rode it our first couple years and haven't in about three years... But for a weird reason.. The dark freaked us out like we were going to hit our heads on something lol I know we obviously won't. We considered doing it but have many other favorites at MK. Plus we tried RnR for the first time last year and that was all the whiplash I needed for a trip ;)

I've only ridden it once in 2012 and I thought it was awful! I haven't wanted to try it since but I like all the other Disney thrill rides. Maybe I should give it another chance?

SM at WDW kills my back. But I did ride it 4x in a row with my kids last October, because they were dying to. That's what tylenol and flexeril are for. ;-) Now SM at DL is GREAT - so smooth. I could ride it 20x in a row and have no issues.

Last time there were no FP left for Thunder Mountain so I rode Space Mountain. I have to say, I LOVED it. I remember it being bouncy from previous trips, but I think sitting in the front of the car helped me this time. IMO it was less jerky than riding Thunder Mountain.

I had only been sent to the right side before our last trip, and I considered it a 4 motrin ride. Almost as bad as the wooden coasters. In January, DD9 and I rode it and got to go left. Soooo, much better. Still a bit jerky, but no headache/neck pain afterwards! I even voluntarily rode it again 2 days later (also left side; we asked for it that time!). We were also in the front car on both those rides. I love RnR....as long as we are in the middle or front. Back is no bueno.

I found riding in the front to be much smoother and more enjoyable, too. The first time I rode Space, I was toward the back and it was painful. I loved it when I sat in the front, though!

Yeah, the one time I rode I was in the backseat, so maybe that was the issue.

I LOVE it! My 60something mother also rides it. She's too chicken to do big coasters (and EE because she hates riding backwards), but will go on SM, 7DMT, and BTMM.

Absolutely hate it!! I went on it a few years ago for the first time because my daughter begged me to go on it with her. I paid for it the rest of the day. I felt awful.

I don't hate it but I don't ride it any more, just too jerky for me and now my son has a back issue he can't ride it either I used to ride it for him and just endure the pain but not any more. I also don't ride RnRC, my head does reach the restraints and it kills me. Love EE, love BTMR, love ToT, love TT.

I like the que but wouldn't mind if they put a smoother coaster similar to rockin roller coaster in its place with a space theme.
