Does anybody remember this ride?

There's a ride that I think I remember going on in 1993 (unless I made it all up with my overactive imagination), and I'm hoping somebody else will remember it, too. I'm pretty sure it was in Epcot, and the line was inside. It was a moving ride, and my family of four had a "car" (or whatever) to ourselves. What I remember most about the ride itself was that, at the end, you got to choose how the ride finished. (Each passenger had a control panel in front of them, and it acting as a voting method). I think our family ended up choosing an underwater "trip" back to the unloading dock.

Does this ring a bell to anybody? It would be great if somebody knew the name of the ride, too.

The ride was Horizons. It is now gone, the building was demolished and in it's place stands Mission: Space.

That rings a bell for me as well but I can't seem to remember...I remember there being 3 choices and I recall one option being in a desert or something like that and for some reason I'm thinking it was towards the end of spaceship earth...or maybe I'm losing my marbles

I remember that ride - in fact, I really liked it! Was it called "Motion" or something like that? Seems like it was a one word name...

It was Horizons. One of my favorites. Loved the smell of the oranges!

December 1993 was the first time that I visited WDW. I remember Horizons.
I loved it ! My memory of it is kept alive because it is on one of the official Disney VHS tapes, called " A Day At Epcot".

I always loved Horizons. It was perhaps my favorite Epcot ride when I was young. I was sad to see it go, especially since I can't ride Mission Space due to motion sickness issues in those simulators... so I've lost two rides, not just one! :confused3 :guilty:

Definately Horizons. I've got a really cool home video of the entire ride somewhere....I shall have to dig it out tomorrow and watch it again. I'm pretty sure on our video we finished under the sea but my favourite was over the land. Can't ever remember riding it and finishing in space though. Just luck of the draw I guess!

I really miss the rides like Horizons and World of Motion those were very "Disney" rides to me. I think there could of been room to add the thrill rides but keep these other rides. :sunny:

This was Horizons. I remember it very well. It was acool ride and if you had a GE VIP pass you could go upstairs to for a rest and drink.

I have a DVD of Horizons and World of Motion (also the original Imagination Ride and Spaceship Earth narrated by Walter Cronkite). Sure brings back memories. If anyone is interested in where I got them, PM me.

I will NEVER forget, telling my mom that we HAD to get to Horizons first... we finally figured out where it was (I always mess up between the two sides of Future World!) and running down the center of Innoventions to Horizons... only to find a WRECKING BALL had cut the building IN HALF.

I just stood there in awe and started to tear up. I didn't even know they were planning on closing it.

I miss that ride SO MUCH. It was definitely one of my favorites.

LOVED LOVED Horizons!!!! Horizons and the original Figment was the only 2 things in the original future world I that I even remotely liked.

Future World is about the latest technology which becomes outdated very fast in these times.

To keep up with all the newest technology Epcot is continually changing. Some would say for the better, other disagree. Nostalgia is a wonderful thing, but were talking Future World, not yesterday world, tomorrow future.

Yes I miss some of the old rides, but when you think about what this park is all about. It cannot be old, it has to be new.

What was the world of motion?-I have wracked my brains and I cannot for the life of me remember-I remember Horizons and the original Figment ride (sniff sniff :figment: ) I do have a photo from 1991 of a car in the WoM but can't remember what came first!
