Do you wear your wedding rings on vacation?

DH lost his original wedding band on our HONEYMOON at the top of Mt. Pilatus, Switzerland in the snow! It was covered under our trip insurance luckily. We can laugh now, but sure couldn't at the time.

I have my engagement ring and diamond band ring that I have had since we got married in 2002 and have had my engagement ring since 2000.I have had my engagement ring worked on so many times for the diamonds falling out or the prongs shifting that I Actually went on the Home Shopping Network and purchased a set for under 100 bucks. I wear that set to work all the time since I am so rough on my rings that so many people have told me that they love my rings.They dont know that they arent real..I have the jeweler even clean and check the prongs on them and they didnt know they were my fake set.. On the next trip to the world I was thinking of wearing my fake set so I wouldnt bang up or even loose a diamond in the ring, that has happened to my real engagment ring while there on my last trip. I was putting my son in the stroller and jammed my hand and out poped one of the main Diamonds.Learned my lesson..

I have a rather complicated set of 4 small rings that are together.
3 years ago, after wearing them every minute, they began to break in the back. After having them "repaired", one year later they broke again, badly.
After dawdling around and finally getting around to taking it to a really good jeweler, they told me that because of the way they are together, I should never wear them while doing any hard work (dishes, lifting, scrubbing, cooking, etc.) And I should not wear them at night.
Since then I have not taken them on vacation. They are more sentimental than expensive, but I'm trying to hang on to them for good.

I wear my rings all the time except at night or when I swim, especially in the ocean. DH lost his ring the second day of our honeymoon in the ocean. Ever since then I have not worn them in the ocean or the pool.

Not married, but if I was I couldn't imagine not wearing them, vacation, home, etc.

I just found out that DH bought me a plain gold band as a Mothers day gift--I've wanted one for years so I can leave the large three ring set at home when I know I'm going to be out in the heat.
