Do you think you'll see your deceased pets in the "next world?"

This was partially inspired by the "reuniting with miscarried babies in heaven" thread.

Do pets go to heaven when they die? I've read the "Rainbow Bridge" many times. Do you think something like that really happens?

Do you think you will be "reunited" with your pets when you die?

Do you think they get reincarnated?

In my experience I have seen my current pets take on the traits of my deceased pets. Its really spooky. My cat Layla used to walk around and meow with a ball in her mouth for "mommy". After she died, I got Sasha and Lily. Not long after I brought them home, Sasha started to meow with a ball just like Layla did!

I hope so! and I do believe so!

I think the bond between people and their pets is so strong, that somehow, yes, there will be a reunion. Animals create a huge wave of life energy IMHO - they must go on in some form. :flower:

i like the idea, i just hope i don't end up near my brother and sister in law: potbellied pigs, goats, bunnies, lizards, snakes, squwaking birds, thundering heards of "moose" dogs, horses, hamsters.... :rotfl: put me in the "upwind" area of heaven.

i do look forward to visiting what must be a massive gold fish (or would that be "gold angel fish" :confused3 ) pond.

I'm counting on it! :goodvibes

This is a passage from an article written by a nurse whose 22yo daughter nearly died after being drugged at a concert. It always stuck with me.

With tears in my eyes, I gently hugged her, so glad to have her home. Although she was tired, she wanted to talk about what she remembered. She described a strange sensation before passing out, but did not recall being placed in the ambulance. She said she knew her eyes were closed, but she saw a very bright light with her grandfather holding her pet rabbit (both deceased). She felt a tremendous sense of peace and calm, and was not afraid.

I believe my five dogs are at the Bridge with my father watching over them, and that someday we'll all meet again.

There is not a doubt in my mind that I will.

No doubt in my mind. All that we love will be waiting for us.

I do believe that I will see my beloved German Shepherd again someday. Until then, I know that he is watching over us with his protective eyes everyday.

I don't believe in heaven or hell or any sort of afterlife. However, if I'm wrong, I want to be where my pets are, regardless of where that is.

Heaven is perfection and to me, perfection wouldn't be reached unless my doggie was there, so yes, I do believe that our pets are there when we die.

Our minister addressed this in a homily at the St. Francis service. He said that if heaven is perfect, the animals are there. (so, Jake, leave those squirrels alone!)

It's been 10 years since the little guy been gone and I still miss him terribly :paw:

Unless I have to do a detour....I fully expect him to be there once I get passed the shiny light in the tunnel stage
