Do you refrigerate...

I had to just go and look at my syrup bottle and it says refridgeration not needed. Phew I was about to worry :scared:

You made me go look now.... My real maple syrup says to refridgerate but the Aunt Jemima you don't have to but we do anyway....I guess I can take that one out thanks for letting me know one less bottle in the fridge.:woohoo:

Yeah my syrup is real stuff so it says to refrigerate it. Plus we are prone to tiny little ants here.

Butter? Freeze most, put one pack at a time in the fridge, one stick at a time on the counter
Ketchup? Yes
Mustard? Yes
Syrup? No
Soy Sauce? Um...can't remember. Only if the bottle says to.
Vinegar? Rice wine vinegar yes. Distilled, apple cider, balsamic, others no.

Yes to everything except the vinegar.

I didn't know you could keep syrup out? I"ll have to read the bottle. I tend to throw it in the microwave before use because I hate cold syrup!

I never used to refrigerate soy sauce until I read on the bottle that you should refrigerate after opening.

Syrup and PB get hard in the fridge.

Butter? Most times yes, but in the winter sometimes it gets left out and we keep extra in the freezer when it's on sale.
Ketchup? Never!! Hunts Salt Free doesn't mention it and Heinz only recommends it for best results. We use it too fast to need it to be in the fridge.
Mustard? Yes
Syrup? No
Soy Sauce? Yes
Vinegar? No, I surely don't need two gallons of vinegar taking up space in the fridge. :confused3

I saw a thread some where else where there was a disagreement regarding this and I'm wondering what most people here do.

Yes to all!

BUT Butter will last for many many many days Unrefrigerated!:scared:

I was just on another board I frequent and there is a thread there about these little crocks that you can use to keep butter out on the counter. Naturally the thread developed into what else others left out. It seems this is a hot topic for tonight :lmao:

I refrigerate butter, ketchup, and mustard. Never heard of anyone doing so with the rest of those. My grandma refrigerates her peanut butter though. Why I have no idea.

I keep my peanut butter in the fridge- warm peanut butter to me is gross :scared1: I like it nice and cold when put on a sandwich

I'm the same as luvmy3.

Yes to all but syrup and vinegar. Why would you put syrup in the fridge? Wouldn't you have to warm it when you use it?

I also keep syrup in the fridge, If I have an eggo waffle I like the waffle toasted with cold syrup on it.

as far as the rest of the things:
Butter? Yes -ewww to butter left on a counter!
Ketchup? Yes

Soy Sauce? Yes
Vinegar? - we don't ever have vinegar in the house, no use for it
