Do you refrigerate...

I keep my peanut butter in the fridge- warm peanut butter to me is gross :scared1: I like it nice and cold when put on a sandwich

How in the world do you get it to spread on bread cold?? :confused3

Butter?
Ketchup?
Mustard?
Syrup?
Soy Sauce?
Vinegar?

I saw a thread some where else where there was a disagreement regarding this and I'm wondering what most people here do.

Ketchup - After opening
Mustard - After opening
Syrup - No
Soy Sauce - No
Vinegar - No

Butter? yes
Ketchup? yes
Mustard? yes
Syrup? yes, now that I am buying real syrup
Soy Sauce? yes
Vinegar? no

If they get left out overnight by mistake, I don't freak out about it though.

All except syrup. I've never heard of anyone refrigerating syrup - it would be all cold when you put it on your pancakes! ::laughing:

I wouldn't refrigerate vinegar, but I have a 16 year old who likes to drink it plain (frequently) and likes the taste of it better cold. Don't ask me! :confused3

Everything except soy sauce and vinegar.. Just checked my cabinet to be sure, and neither bottle indicates it requires refrigerating after opening..;)

Yes, all of the above, except sometimes I will keep butter out to soften.

Butter? Yes, goes rancid otherwise.
Ketchup? No, but it goes dark after opening, if not refrigerated. But doesn't change the flavor.
Mustard? Don't use.
Syrup? No, don't use the real thing.
Soy Sauce? No, the high salt content makes it self preserving.
Vinegar? No, it's an acid that doesn't need it.

Butter? Yes
Ketchup? Yes
Mustard? Yes
Syrup? No
Soy Sauce? Yes
Vinegar? No

Exactly the same for me. A couple of weeks ago we were visiting my SIL and she said she knew that my husband or I had put the ketchup away because it was in the refrigerator and she never puts her ketchup there ;)

Butter? Yes
Ketchup? Yes, organic requires to refrigerate after opening
Mustard? Yes though we rarely have it in the house
Syrup? Yes
Soy Sauce? Yes because container says to do so
Vinegar? Never

Everything but the syrup and vinegar - although I do refridgerate chocolate syrup, since the packaging says to.

Butter? yes
Ketchup? yes
Mustard? yes
Syrup? no
Soy Sauce? yes
Vinegar?no

Yes Butter and all the others after opening Except the vinegar.

oh and syrup goes in if it is the good stuff- regular Mrs. Butterworths kind would go in the pantry if I bought that stuff.

I refrigerate everything except soy sauce and vinegar. I've never heard of refrigerating soy sauce.

Now my mom doesn't refrigerate any of that stuff except for the extra sticks of butter she's not currently using.

Yes to all except vinegar and fake maple syrup. The real stuff needs to be refrigerated per a maple syrup maker.. Butter gets funky, ketchup turns color and tastes differently to me if not refrigerated. Gulden's mustard tells you to refrigerate after opening.
