Do you play video games?

*cough*
Roms.....
*ahem*
Emulator....
*cough*
*cough*

:lmao:

Just make sure you don't download games that have been re-released for the Wii and you should be safe. I don't think Earthbound was re-released. :)

..........Nevermind. I just remembered you'd need an internet connection.

:rotfl:

I would die without Video Games!

I have a Wii (snicker), PS3, and just got a Nintendo DSi for my birthday.

Classic Video games are my favorite, followed by Rock Band, racing and fighting games.

I will be a senior citizen and still play video games--no doubt!!!

:worship: Miyamoto

Zulemara & ConcKahuna: Thank you. This pretty much makes it official that I definitely should not try an MMORPG any time soon. :lmao: I'd more than likely use it for the social aspect. Okay, okay......the quest portion of it doesn't sound too bad either.

Grrrrr!!!! You've already got me hooked! *shakes fit* :lmao:

Come with me, and together we will rule azeroth. Soon you will know the power of the horde!

Now if you have to pick an mmorpg, both evercrack and wow offer free trials. Honestly, and I think conc will agree, WoW is REALLY dumbed down compared to evercrack(they call it that for a reason!) It is made for the casual player as well as the hardcore player, and that's why there's 11.5 million subscribers worldwide.

Miyamoto has come up with some of the most messed up and twisted concepts for games.

Think about it: He made millions with a game that started with two Italian plumbers fighting evil mushrooms and reptiles that throw hammers. Then he came up with a sword-wielding boy who went around getting cryptic clues (some of which STILL make no sense to me ) as to where the next dungeon is located while fighting giant eyeballs that multiply when you hit them. Let's not forget the ape who throws barrels at one of the aforementioned Italian guys in the game that has nothing to do with donkeys despite its title.

He's insane!
You've gotta love him. :cloud9:

You want me to come over to the dark side, don't you??

I just checked.......The DO make a version of Evercrack for Mac. I shouldn't have looked that up. I'm going to regret this. :sad2:

How could you......

Oh......"horde". Okay. I gotcha. :thumbsup2

LOL

They make WoW for macs as well. It's actually better than the PC version because it includes a built in video capture system!

that and some people have fraps, which captures on a PC, but it's a third party system

I've tried looking for something free that's similar to FRAPS for the Mac. I've only found one so far, but I haven't tried it yet.

Guitar Hero! Got it as a wedding gift and love it!!!! You outta see me do One way or another by Blondie....:cool1::rotfl::rotfl:

yes I bought that for PS2, but DBF has it in storage in WI, I'm in FL, and he's in Italy. Shucks

::yes:: I've tried WoW, but since I had already played EQ for 6 years it was just waaaay too casual for me. That being said it's a perfect game if you havent played an MMORPG before. For fantasy MMOs, I would rank the "Hard core" level as WoW < EQ2 < EQ. They've made some parts of EQ easier recently, and WoW has added some harder content, but it's still pretty different.

The EQ Mac version only includes the first few expansions (it stops at Planes of Power) and hasn't been updated. It seems the folks that used to do the translation went out of business, and the Mac version uses a 100% file format than the PC version, so SOE (Sony Online Entertainment) cant update it any more. That means the graphics will be older (the PoP expansion was released in 2002), but it's still a fun game :)

Oh what a fun thread! My favorites include:

- SNES: Seiken Densetsu 3 (Possibly the BEST game ever, imo. I've played this game over and over countless times. Its like Final Fantasy and by Squaresoft as well. It's a MUST play.)

- RCT 1-3 (Soaked and Wild are butt loads of fun but too bad Wild isn't out for Mac)

- King's Quest/Space Quest/Gold Rush - King's Quest was stupid some times though in the fact that the early ones you would like make one tiny step off of a staircase and you would instantly die. OMG I love the Medusa part though - she was scaryyyyy.

Is the Seiken Densetsu series the same as the Secret of Mana series? I went onto GameFAQS the other day trying to figure out why people rave over SoM. I tried it recently for the first time but it drove me nuts. :sad2: I had to reset the game twice because either 1 or both of the other party members kept getting stuck to the point where I couldn't trek back to get them. :headache: Having said that, I was a huge fan of Secret of Evermore (and am actually playing again), but for some reason the fans of Secret of Mana tend to hate this game simply because it was the first Square game to be made in the US. I don't get it. I thought it was really good game. :confused3 I think the graphics and sound really pushed the limits of the SNES hardware.

I would LOVE to try RCT3. I used to imagine designing coaster all the time when I was younger. I'd probably be behind the computer for days without eating or standing. :lmao:

The King's Quest series had some really difficult puzzles, as well as those infamous "La la la....I'm walking down the road.....AAAAA! I'm dead!" moments. But it was a great series. The last one was completely different from the rest, and wasn't nearly as difficult, but I enjoyed it. KQ4 was the first PC game I owned. Space Quest 3 was the second.

You put on a long wig and "rock out", don't you? :woohoo: :lmao:

I remember hearing about a program you can download that lets you play regular EQ on a mac, but since I've never dealt with it I dont remember the name.

VMWare fusion and parallels are both essentially emulators. They let you run Windows inside the mac OS, but completely independent. The downside is they are NOT very good for gaming and I believe you have to have an Intel mac to use them. If you have an intel mac you can just use the built in bootcamp to install Windows XP and play that way. That's how I play RCT3 and command and conquer.

and btw, I have an alliance character I'm working on. I have a 70 bloodelf pally, a 70 troll rogue, and I just rolled a human mage named boyslikeboys :lmao: I'm on the draenor server if you come my way

Ya'll just threw a bunch of info my way. Lemme breathe for a second before I take action. :rotfl2:

(My Mac isn't an Intel machine......but my roomie's new MacBook is. *evil laugh*)
