Do you ever visit boards that talk about things you don't agree with??

I wonder because I know I do!

I like to hear all sides of issues, it sometimes amazes me what people are thinking.

I try to weigh the thoughts, or figure out why they think that way. Whatever it is being around only "like minds" limit my experiences.

Anyone have this experience?

Yes. I've been to some really weird ones too. Just out of curiosity. I could never stay for long. And then, sometimes, I end up with REALLY strange e-mail and pop-ups after I visit one of those "weirdo" sites.

The DIS is about my limits. I have seen a few others, never participated in any but the DIS. No time for the others for me.

There are other boards? I always thought this whole "internet" thing was limited to the Dis.

Actually, there are a coupleof boards I used to go to all the time, but they were taken over by rabid partisan politics so much, they weren't good for anything but ranting.

I am a low maintenance type of girl so reading about women/girls who spend 100's of dollars a week on makeup just amazes me! LOL!

Not really, because it usually makes me angry... and there is no point in getting worked up over an internet board & ideas that will never change on the other persons mind! I learned that quickly. SO I try to stick with mostly light-hearted stuff.

Plus I get enough deep thoughts at school all the time... I look forward to fluff in my freetime LOL

I'm with Dan, the Dis is my limit. I'm totally satisfied by the Dis and have no need to look further!

Oh yeah there are a few I look at for laughs. Some people get so serious over the silliest things I've ever heard of.

There are also a few collectors boards I go to and really enjoy. People just like the DIS.

This and www.fatwallet.com are the two main ones I visit.

There are plenty of things that go on at both places that I disagree with but tolerate because I get so much more out compared to the BS.

While that makeup board was a fun visit, have a look at

Thanks for the link, those boards are fun. While I don't spend that much money on makeup a week, I can drop a few at MAC every once in awhile.

I can't even LOOK at that makeup site, my cousin is a MAC makeup specialist and the most I spend on makeup is limited to the $1 area in Eckerds!

That makeup one is pretty funny. Anyone that can spend all of their free time chatting about makeup, has a problem. If I offend anyone, then I'm sorry, but you needed to know the truth.

I don't think I can say anything bad about the makeup people. I figure they would say the same thing about the Dis people (LOL!)
