Do kids really wear costumes to MK?

My kids only wore their princess costumes at MNSSHP, BBB, and Princess Meals . To hot for dressing up clothes all day! They did like all the extra attention though!

The last two times my dd she spent the entore day dressed up. The first time she didn't think she would want to spend the entire day dressed up and she wore shorts and a tank under her Snow White dress. She ended up wearing the snow white dress all day. She didn't wear princess shoes she wore her flip flops to feel more comfy.

Again, mostly repeating pp but wanted to share my experience.

DD (5) would stay dressed as a princess 24/7 if we let her, and this is at home. It was our fist trip to Disney but I knew she'd want to dress up. I brought the nicer of her princess dresses down to WDW specifically for her BBB appointment and dinner with Cinderella. I also only brought one sun dress down thinking I'd dress her in shorts and t-shirts for the parks. WRONG.

I did only let her wear the costume once, but I had to wash that sundress so she could get that in a few times. She didn't like dressing down with so many princesses walking arround. "How will they know I'm a princess too if I'm wearing shorts and a t-shirt?" princess:

So next visit I'll need to pack more sundresses, but I do think I'll just bring one costume again. While adorable, they just don't seem comfortable enough.

Side note: DS had no interest in wearing his pirate costume at all. The pirate mickey ears were enough. pirate:

Have fun!
