Do I Need My DL When Using DDE and/or AP?

I don't usually take my DL to the parks because I don't want to risk losing it. Will I need this when I use my AP and/or my DDE?

If for some reason your AP fails to read they will ask for the DL. As far as the DE I was never asked for mine in Feb.
