Do first row riders get wet on Frozen Ever After?

Hi all,

I thought I read somewhere that you will get really wet if you sit on the first row of FEA, did anyone find this to be true?

I'm asking because when DH and I sat on the first row of Pirates of the Caribbean a few years ago, we got really wet and DH's sneakers got soaked, which he didn't like . (He's not a fan of walking around in wet sneakers.)

Also, I read there is a drop in the ride at one point. Is it similar to the drop in Pirates? DD 8 gets a little skittish on rides, 7 DMT was too much for her for example, so I always have to give her a heads up if anything is quasi-intense . She was A-ok with pirates.

I went on it 2 or 3 times when I was there last. I did not get wet or maybe a drop but nothing bad ( I can not stand to get wet at all ) I sat in both the front row and back

The ride is the same ( track wise) as the old ride. You do go back wards and down a small hill like at POTCB

I have not rode it yet so take what I say with a grain of salt but after watching it online, it looks to be the same ride as Malstorm just with a different theme. The drops appear to be the same as the old ride. Did she ride that on her last trip?

We rode it in the 2nd row and we were splashed. The people in the 1st row, did get wet, especially their shoes. We found with a boat of adults it weighs more so there was a bigger splash. We also went the 2nd day so maybe they fixed things. I also got really wet on potc.

while its unlikely never say never.
the track is the same as maelstrom and therefore yes there is a drop.

i have yet to go on FEA but will be going in september.

i got absolutely drenched twice on maelstrom when sitting on the right side in the front row.

We were in the front row and water did splash into the boat on the sides. It didn't splash on us because it was just me and DD and we were pretty much in the middle but it got the seat wet and so the backs of our shorts got wet.
