DME Drop Off Between A&B?

In a DME thread over on the resort board, two posters have indicated that their DME bus made only one stop on the trip to MCO and dropped them at some point between the A&B sides. Here's one quote with an explanation that the bus driver reportedly provided:

The last time we took DME back to MCO, the bus driver dropped the entire bus off between A and B terminals. He said this was because no one on the bus had luggage with them that had to be checked. I think it confused a lot of people as which way to go as he did not direct anyone as usual. (Which airlines are with which terminal.)

Has anyone here had a similar experience and does anyone know if this is a bus driver taking a shortcut or if it is an actual DME procedure?

I wasn't dropped off between terminals, but there was a traffic back-up going to Terminal A, so our driver just dropped us all off at B. It's not a big airport and getting from A to B is just a walk across the shopping center, so I didn't mind, but I only use carry-on luggage for my trips to Disney (just weekends for me), so I didn't have luggage to deal with, either.

I didn't know there existed a drop off between the A and B sides.

Unless everyone was dropped off at the "2 yard line" on one side instead of the "50 yard line" on both sides.

I'm not sure where that would be either. It's possible that the poster quoted was dropped off at one side or the other and told it would be the only drop-off point. Still doesn't seem right regardless.

One poster on the resort board did report that they were dropped off between A and B Terminal and weren't sure why.

I would suspect what a PP stated; there was a possible back-up at one or both terminals and they didn't have any choice but drop them off between the two terminals.

There really isn't a "between". Think of MCO as a rectangle. A is one long side and B is the other. It's one large building with 2 sides, not separate terminals. There is no road on the short sides, that is where the trams go out to the gates. My bet is everyone was left off on one side.
