DLR was crowded today!

We were with Tony and his assumptions were pretty good, but I would have to say that the new payment plan for APs has got to be the biggest driving factor. I have never seen bigger crowds at the actual ticket booths this ear than in all my years of having an AP (since 1999).

Just stacks of people waiting for tickets and APs. The lines didn't really seam to move either. That indicates to me that whatever folks are doing, it contains some sort of process. And it's more than the norm. Setting up payment plans takes a lot longer than running a credit card, so that might be it.

So when you say it was busy today...how long were the waits for some of the rides?

Well, the park just seemed really crowded and hard to move around, even back in Critter Country where it sometimes seems rather empty. But to answer your question, we had DS3 with us and since we're local we were only seeking out the rides/attractions we knew would have short waits since our little guy can't wait in line too long. Pirates and Alice both said 20 minutes (not bad but longer than we wanted to wait) but I think the pirates line looked longer than that. We only waited about 15 mintues for IASW. The longest line we waited in was for Flik's Fliers which is usually only a 10 minute wait at the most. I didn't time it but I'm guessing it was 20-30 minutes. Not really sure why we waited that long for it. I think we were tired and just sort of mindlessly got in line. Pooh had no wait and no wait for the raft to tom sawyer's island, although we had to wait for a second raft to go back from the island. Our longest wait was to get into the parking structure! The line was backed up to the freeway overpass on Ball rd. and it was SLOW! I think it took us 30-45 minutes to get parked.

We kept saying we could tell that it was a busy day because of some of the things we saw open. The Columbia and the Mark Twain were both up and running and that shake place (can't remember the name - sam andreas?) was open which it never seems to be. They also had 2 rafts going to tsi instead of just one.

Oh and I just remembered that I heard someone saying that indiana jones was a 45 min. wait.

How funny - we left the park around the same timeframe! That's yet another time we have passed in broad daylight!!!!!

Maybe one of these days we'll actually see each other!
