Would you believe I've never once ordered room service?? Ever. Some day I really want to, just to say I did it. But whenever I see the prices, plus the fees, taxes and the automatic gratuity..... I always say forget it. I can't spend $35 per person on bacon and eggs. Darn my cheapness!!

I do give them all credit for trying. I have two left feet and any attempt I'd make at dancing would surely end in disaster.

So we're trying to figure out if a Christmas trip can happen for us!!! I've been pricing things out & think if we can put a little money aside, we might be able to pull if off!! We're looking at going Mon, Dec 5 to Fri, Dec 9.........I'm beyond excited at the thought of getting to go to Disneyland for the holidays!!!!! Will keep you posted if this starts looking like a possibility!!

Good morning! My DH let me sleep in this morning and got the kids ready for school and took them - I never even woke up they were all so quiet. I ended up rolling out of bed around 9 and have been able to get a ton of stuff done!

Fly by HI!

My car was in the shop today for what STARTED OUT to be maintenance and ended up being a replaced head gasket. OUCH. I keep chanting "I have no car payment. I have no car payment."... LOL!

Not sure on the October trip now. My friend is looking at the 16th, 17th and 18th at DL. We'll see. Right now airfare is $104 each way (sniff - I remember when $69 each way was the going rate on SW... oh! That was just SIX MONTHS AGO. sigh). I spent today making "redneck fence repairs" in preparation for the 35 - 45 MPH wind gusts we are forecast for tomorrow. I have the two ailing fence sections supported by 2x6 sectoions that are butt up against the concrete pad or brick edging. At least if the fence falls, this time it will go in the neighbor's yard. Last time it fell in mine and took out 3 feet of my decorative edging. This section would hit the spa/gazebo. Um, I don't think so. LOL

With the car repair, unfortunately, my dream of a new grill this year went up in smoke. SIGH. Oh well. I have no car payment. I have no car payment.

I like the sign without the gold background too. I think it will look really good with some sparkles.
The only time I've had room service was on a cruise, no extra charges. My son who was 12 at the time was ordering food all the time. One time he said he was going to order just a little snack. He ended up with a sandwich, 2 salads, a lot of friut and dessert. He was having so much fun !

I'm a huge couponer also! Target can have some great deals when you find a sale, and then have both a manufacturer coupon AND Target coupon! I also use their Debt Card so I can get an additional 5% off.

I follow a great local blog where she does coupon match up's for local stores! Saves me lots of time AND money. thefrugalfind dot com She's also on fb.

Beth, no stores in the Bay Area allow us to double coupons either. However some of them let you "stack" coupons if they have their own. Target dot com has coupons you can print (that are only good at Target).



No kidding!!! I hate spending $40 plus at a fast food restaurant, but that is what it usually takes.

I am also big into coupons (or was!) I have stacks of them I have yet to go through! I even had my own blog for awhile but it was to hard to keep up. Other couponing blogs I like are moneysavingmom dot com forthemommas dot com and my favorite myfrugaladventures dot com.

I was MAKING money shopping at target for awhile with the gift card offers but lately I haven't seen anything really interesting on the gift card offers.

I also love shopping at CVS & Rite-Aid where the only thing I was paying was tax.

Did anyone here watch Dancing With the Stars last night?

I have never watched that show before. I've caught a few minutes of it here and there, but never a full episode. I had to watch last night though because I really like Kirstie Alley, and Kendra. Those two crack me up! And they both did very good. I can't believe Kirstie is 60!!

I also had to watch my teen crush, Ralph Macchio. I had a huge crush on him when the Karate Kid movies were out. Well, him, and Rob Lowe, and Andrew McCarthy, and the guy who played Jake Ryan, and.......let's just say I had a lot of teenage crushes!

I have watched DWTS for quite a few seasons. I was so surprised at how well Kirstie did. I love her and hope she continues to do well!

I went Nov 29- Dec 3 last year and it was great. All the holiday activities with low crowds! It was awesome!

Hello to everyone else I hope you all had a great weekend. I went to DL on Saturday and luckily it didn't rain. Surprisingly, the park was not crowded. When I got there, the security guard at the check point saw my hat and said: "Woah! Is that an angry birds hat?" I said: "Yes!" He said: "That is so cool!" A few CM's stopped me and asked where I got it from.

I got to try the new menu at Hungry Bear. The cupcake was delicious. I normally am not a fan of lemon flavoring but this was not sour, it was very light and moist and delicious I tried the fried green tomato sandwich with sweet potato fries and it was really good. I really enjoyed it and gobbled it all up.

Since trying a Mickey pretzel on the ladies trip, I think I have become a pretzel snob towards Wetzel's Pretzels. I don't eat there too often but I saw the pretzel shop open when I got Jamba Juice recently and wanted to get one. The nacho cheese tasted really funky and so did the pretzel. Maybe the Mickey pretzels are secretly filled with Disney magic so you keep craving one.

I caught the very last segment of Billy Hill and took pics of the Elvis Billy for you ladies who love him I will try to upload it soon so you guys can see. *Jessica- BILLY!!!*

Nice to meet you all. (Even though I feel like I know a few of you already.)

I am finally going to toss my mickey ears into the Diva's trip planning thread and officially start planning my first Diva Trip with you all.

My name is Patty AKA Gamma to 2 of the best grand kids. Boy soon to be 7 and Girl soon to be 4. We are going to celebrate their birthday's with Mickey.

Grandma and Grandpa are taking family to DL this May. ( not a big family -only daughter, son-in-law and the 2 kids.) I planned so much for this trip to have Disney toss in the POC screening OUR weekend. Not happy about this but not going to let it ruin our trip.

I have lurked on this tread for a LOOONNNG time.

During the Diva Adventure I plan to try new restaurants, part take in the scavenger hunt, watch the shows, and generally have a Hoop De Do time. Oh, I forgot, drink a glass of that wine I read so much about Magicale I think is name.

I am applying for a "Great Weather Card" for the trip next year, so no weather worries now .

I will try to get a picture up soon. I need daughter to help me -- actually Austen probably knows how --poor Gamma.

Well keep posting. I enjoy reading, but now I can actually reply.

I am so excited and it is still 11 months away.
