Well ladies I am finally home and exhausted. The play was a smash the kids did really well! The cast party afterwards was a lot of fun with hugs from a lot of the cast and crying from a few that they won't get to see us every day anymore. Warms the heart to know you made an impact. Many of them will likely be in the play next year too but 5 of them will be moving up to high school and on to another drama squad where I hope they have just as much fun.
The planned adult champagne toast after the cast party turned into something that should be saved for weekends not work nights, and we just got home but I think we all needed to blow off a little steam. It was fun we are exhausted and just wanted to stop by and let you all know it was a success. Did take a minute to catch up some and have a few answers then I am going to bed!
We have done the Grand Canyon when we lived in AZ and it is amazing but will never have the draw of my favorite place...can you guess? Which Bat Caves? My step-daughter lives in Austin Texas and when we go down to visit a must do is the bridge which houses the largest urban bat population in the world. We just take a picnic dinner and watch them as they fly out from under the bridge and circle around getting their groups together and fly off for the night, It is an amazing thing to see and the first time we all went I was not sure we would like it but it is so amazing.
Welcome aboard glad to have you here !

Carnation Cafe makes really good Cinnamon Roll French toast !
I never travel, but the few places I like like to see are the Bat Caves - forgot the official name, and the Grand Canyon. I never had a desire to go far from home.

Hi to all,
Nice to meet you all. (Even though I feel like I know a few of you already.)
I am finally going to toss my mickey ears into the Diva's trip planning thread and officially start planning my first Diva Trip with you all.
My name is Patty AKA Gamma to 2 of the best grand kids. Boy soon to be 7 and Girl soon to be 4. We are going to celebrate their birthday's with Mickey.
Grandma and Grandpa are taking family to DL this May. ( not a big family -only daughter, son-in-law and the 2 kids.) I planned so much for this trip to have Disney toss in the POC screening OUR weekend. Not happy about this but not going to let it ruin our trip.
I have lurked on this tread for a LOOONNNG time.
During the Diva Adventure I plan to try new restaurants, part take in the scavenger hunt, watch the shows, and generally have a Hoop De Do time. Oh, I forgot, drink a glass of that wine I read so much about Magicale I think is name.
I am applying for a "Great Weather Card" for the trip next year, so no weather worries now.
I will try to get a picture up soon. I need daughter to help me -- actually Austen probably knows how --poor Gamma.
Well keep posting. I enjoy reading, but now I can actually reply.
I am so excited and it is still 11 months away.
Happy Patty
