"Diva" Trip - "Cliff Notes" p.236 OLD THREAD!

I am on the edge of summerlin kind of we go to red rock most of the time when we go to see a movie. I wish I was able to see more shows especially since my DH is in the business doing audio visual but he doesn't get a ton of perks and he's always working when there's shows. How do you like living in vegas? I'm not crazy about it but I know we're probably never leaving because of his job. I bet I'd like it more if my family lived here.

I would love to get together sometime. Town Square is awesome my boys love the park there.

Oh, so your probably not too far from me then if you are at Red Rock often.

We have signed up on a couple websites that offer discounts and free tickets for Vegas locals. One was free, the other was around $90 to join, but using it we've seen many shows for free. Le Reve, Lion King, Blue Man Group, Divas, and a ton of other smaller venue shows such as some of the comedies and magic shows. With only one income for a family of 6 it's been the only way we are able to do so much. If you are interested, send me a PM and I'll let you know how to sign up for some of these things. Might as well take advantage of being local!

What show does your DH work on? That must be a fun job! My DH works at UMC. Not the best employer, but it's work. lol

We like it here ok. I mean, it's fun, and there's no shortage of places to go to shop, eat, etc. But I miss the greenery and water! I get sick of living in "taupeville" sometimes.
We'll be here until my older kids graduate from high school which will be in 2014 then we are planning to move to WA state.

Do you have any family here at all? My husbands family is in CA and mine is all in MI, so we have no one here at all. Just us.

Looks like we have a mini meet going in October...Looks like it is leaning toward Sunday the 16th to me. Maybe you can come up and we can be the new gals together.

And of course, the trip I have in the hopper is the week AFTER that. LOL! I am hoping to hook up with a friend from Utah who is bringing the family out for a long weekend at DL!

Speaking of mini meets, I would like to try again for a Pacific Northwest meet this summer. I am thinking about attending this event and maybe anyone interested could come and we could make a weekend out if it.

Oh yeah, I should probably share what I came in here to share! We added some new color to my hair today. It's a pretty dark shade of teal, but there is officially teal in my hair!! She got it a little further back than intended so we'll do a little more next time and I think Ill be OK with going a lighter/brighter shade to boot.

Pooey that it's not the best focused photo. But I'm thrilled.

Tues and Thurs are my early days and today they REALLY hurt because obviously it was like actually getting up at 4:30 instead of 5:30. OUCH! I am so not liking this time change yet! You would think on the opposite end I would ACTUALLY be able to stay up on watch my shows on tv that I normally fall asleep for but NOPE I was out by 8 LOL. I think cuz I am so dang tired from getting up early LOL!

Trudi hope your cold gets better. Man it seems like these colds nowadays last FOREVER. The last few colds I have gotten have lasted several weeks.

I am off today to volunteer at the girls school and then it is lovely laundry day when I get back. Oh Joy LOL.

Morning ladies! Off to do a small corporate event today - in the rain - outdoors!! Yikes - at least we got a tent at the last minute. I told the client to do it later in the month. Oh well, we get spoiled her in NorCal thinking the weather is always great!
