Hi all! Our trip is over

and I wanted to come back to this thread and share about our first stay at the Beach Club (& first deluxe stay, thanks to a magical deal). We were at the Beach Club Oct 1-8, 2016.
We used online check-in and bypassed the front desk, a feature that is new to us since our last WDW trip, and we loved it! I found our room location while on the Magical Express using the Touring Plans room finder site on my phone. Easy-peasy. We were VERY pleased with our room location. We booked a standard room with a room request of Near Elevator, and we got it! Room 3650, just up from the elevators by the Marketplace. If I'd known we'd have been so close to the Marketplace, I would've sprung for refillable mugs, but I had already bought plenty of drinks using Garden Grocer, so we didn't. There was a lounge area just outside our room with chairs and a sofa. This was maybe the only downside of the room, people congregated here playing cards etc. in the afternoons, but we aren't nappers, so the noise didn't bother us. The ice machine was outside our room too, but we couldn't hear it unless we were near the coffee pot area.
We LOVED Stormalong Bay. I think I'm spoiled by this pool forever. The sand bottom felt amazing on tired feet. We had a couple of days, including our first day, where there weren't enough tubes in the lazy river to go around, but then other days there were more than enough. I guess it just depended on how busy the pool was. I never had trouble finding a lounger. There was a lot of rain that week, then it was closed Friday 10/7 from Matthew, and so we didn't use the pool as much as I would've liked, but we enjoyed it when we could!
I thought the BC did a great job with the hurricane. My son came down with a cold right at the same time so we didn't make much use of activities within the hotel, and used the day for him to rest in the room, but I did venture down and saw Goofy and Pluto in the lobby, then later on, Minnie and (I think) Donald.
One night we had dinner at Cape May. I thought it was a little (a lot) pricey for what we got. (Don't stone me! lol) We just weren't impressed and we love seafood. Beaches and Cream, on the other hand, YUMMY! I finally snagged a day-of reservation here after trying for MONTHS before our trip. I was so happy. My son love the jukebox. I had the grilled cheese and tomato bisque with the grilled banana bread for dessert. Best meal I think I had anywhere on property, all week.
Bus stop construction situation... I thought this was going to be a big deal, but really, it wasn't so bad. About 75% of the time, the golf cart shuttle was waiting and we were able to use it. The walk wasn't terrible when the shuttle wasn't around. Only 1 time was a bus monitor CM at the stop. WE WERE SO PLEASED WITH BEACH CLUB BUS SERVICE!!! We didn't stand ONCE the entire stay at BC. The buses were always uncrowded. There was never a long line to get back to the BC from the parks. (Compare that with Pop Century, where we normally stay!! You can always find the Pop Century line at the park bus stops, it's the one with the most people in it, lol!) The longest we waited for a bus was 15 minutes, to go from BC to MK. It was SO NICE!
Walking to Epcot was PERFECT, especially during Food and Wine.
The boat to DHS was lovely, also!
I really cannot think of one thing to complain about with our stay. I hope we get to return one day!!!
I will leave you with my favorite picture I took during our visit.
