The BC Quiet Pool fence is up and finished, the fencing itself looks quite nice but the gates are a bit more 'overpowering' (if that's the right word to use ). I will upload pics if I can find out how to do that?!

Random: but I've been trying to call disney to modify our May 2017 reservation (Club Level please!) and the wait times are always AT LEAST 30 minutes!

I am actually quite surpised that all the pools don't have fences around them just from a safety perspective with so many little kids.

That happened to me yesterday too! I was also surprised that there was no question about the wait time in the survey afterwards. I was expecting the old survey, but apparently they have a new one. It was very frustrating not to be able to give a low rating on wait time. I didn't want to put anything that might reflect poorly on the CM. It's too early to get a villa, but she tried to help me anyhow.

I believe they are quite overrun dealing with impacted travel from Hurricane Matthew - issuing refunds; trying to reschedule travel; ect. I believe yesterday was the last day to make these requests so hopefully from now on the wait times will be better!

Can someone explain the current bus stop status at Beach Club? We have a member of our party that cannot walk long distances. We had no problem with the walk to its original location from the villas, but how far is it from the villas now?

ETA: We are arriving this Saturday (the 22nd).

Well, the wait was closer to 20 than the stated 30, but the cast member was quite helpful! We'll be there 5/12-5/20 in a Standard View Club Level!

From what I understand the temporary bus stop is closer to the Villas than the bus stop under rehab. So, I think you'll be all set regardless of the status for the rehab, meaning it's supposed to wrap up pretty soon.

I'm going to try an e-mail and see what I get for a response. This doesn't seem right based on where I thought the reno's were and the chat I had online the other day. We'll be checking in next Wed. to a studio and then again for marathon weekend so I can get a first hand look at what's going on. Not that I need the 5th person in our room but I do share your frustration on the inconsistency of the responses.

Well, I tried and here's the e-mail response. Still doesn't make a lot of sense to me. Hope it works out for you one way or the other. I have to go pack now for our arrival on Wednesday!

Hi, the normal Beach Club bus stop re-opened on October 15 (yesterday), there are bus wait time screens and it's about a minute and a half from the front of the hotel.

Also, looks like they're laying the concrete and posts to put up a fence (like the quiet pool one) around Stormalong Bay.

How do guests access the pool area? Is it open to anybody tall enough to release the latch, or is there a place to scan your MagicBand?

If anyone tall enough can open the gate, then this was obviously installed to prevent small children from entering the area, if unaccompanied by an adult (or taller individual). I believe that ADA standards call for reach to be no higher than 4' above the finished floor, to enable those in wheelchairs to have access.

It is just a normal gate, you don't need to scan your MagicBand. So anyone who is tall enough to reach the handle could get in.

You need to leave the pool area (go out the gate) to get to the restrooms behind the laundry. You need to enter the pool area to get to the laundry place.

Returned 10/13 from WL, on10/15 I was able to book a studio at BC for next May, I am so excited. Always wanted to stay at BC, we own at BLT, and this was the first time I could get the dates I wanted at 7 months!!

There's no way they would allow everyone into SAB by just turning a handle. It'll be either manned, or have to use your magic band. Then, get a wristband so you can go in and out at will, like they do now.
