It used to work that way, but not any longer. For example, if you have a 7 night stay booked and want to change it to a 5 night stay there will have to be a room available for those 5 nights excluding the room already booked for 7 nights.

But, I would still ask. Often, guest services can get involved and help out. It isn't guaranteed, but since in this case the room isn't going to sit empty the last few nights, they would probably be able to approve it. They implemented this new rule because so many people were booking way longer than then intended to go, then dropping dates later....thus leaving rooms sitting open in between other reservations. That wouldn't be the case with this one so definitely ask. I would call ASAP the morning a new discount comes out and try to get it applied. If they say they can't, ask nicely if there is anyone else they can ask. They will probably put you through to guest services....or they will submit a paper form to guest services on your behalf and then they will get back to you in a day or two. I know several who have been in this exact scenario and had good luck. Good luck!!!!

Can someone clarify something for me. If we want to go from the BC to one of the water parks in the morning around 11am, can we get a bus directly to the parks or do you have to go to Disney springs and change buses?

Just curious, I read a post about BC/YC busses now share with BWI to MK & AKL. I remember back a few years all the Epcot resorts shared, but then they went to just YC/BC sharing which was great. Only DTD bus was shared with all resorts.
Have services been cut, and gone back to all sharing? This was at park opening (not mid day off hrs) she said she had to wait for 3 MK busses.

I thought Boardwalk has its own dedicated bus now and no longer shares with swolphin. We've only ever experienced just YC/BC buses sharing.

Actually, driving from the BC, Blizzard Beach is closer than Typhoon Lagoon.

Oops you're right - straight down Buena Vista Drive. I forgot it runs right into it. My bad!

You know you're a teacher with not enough to do this summer when you're stressing because you have to finalize your MB selections today, and you're freaking out and changing it on the hour. Eeek!

BTW...can I bring old MBs and use them? I have a feeling the answer is yes, but you're potentially opening a can of worms.

Stayed at BWI on the 2nd of Juy and we took the bus to MK. It didn't stop anywhere. The CM helping with the bus times said they rarely share with SD and didn't even mention YCBC

We had one bus to the MK which also stopped at BWI during our stay mid-June. The other MK busses earlier in the week were YC/BC only. Those had folks standing leaving BC, not sure that's why they didn't go to BWI?

Still no BC/YC openings for my CP trip, and I changed my one night SAB stay to BWI (so no split stay). But I am still hanging with my homies here. Two weeks until my trip!!! Any one who wants any pics, etc. or other info let me know!!! I'll be right across Crescent lake!

So excited!! I had to move our dates around bit for September and was able to get a fab rate on the YC CL SV, for Sept 20-26! I wasn't thrilled about the pool at the BWI for my toddler, he adores SAB!! Bring on the vacay

Last year I bought 3 old bands with me that I decorated! This trip I ordered Purple!!

When we were at the BC in February we had one MK bus that stopped at BWI, where no one got on because there was an MK bus there already.

...and did I read correctly, that the Bus Stop at YC should be back to normal by mid/late August? What I like about the YC bus stop is that it's right outside the doors. It's a bit more of a hike from the BC front doors to the bus stop.

So, I just watched a Dis Podcast from about a year or so ago, where they discussed YC for 51 minutes. To say I was in heaven would be putting it lightly. It made that time on the elliptical fly by! Opinions are just that, they are what they are. I agreed with some sentiments, not with others. This team doing the podcast seems to be BC-blue through and through, so the overall tone was the Marcia/Jan Brady comparison I remember NinjaMom making a couple of years back, but I did want to comment on one thing. One woman discussing the YC was saying how the story of how SAB got it's name was one of the silliest Disney has ever come up with, making up a pirate named Stormalong, and saying he crashed at YC/BC. Well, some of you know I teach elementary school, and every year I teach a story called "Stormalong" by Mary Pope Osbourne (of "Magic Treehouse" fame), and indeed, this is a real legend!

May I offer this link, and y'all will see that Disney wasn't being so lazy after all. I'd love to email this woman (and the podcast team) with this information, but don't want to be "too" much of a know-it-all!

I like that YC gets first pick up! And bus stop being closer, but when it's raining I like BC bus stop because the walk from lobby is all under cover!
