What made you feel old today?

Was playing "guess my age" on another board and someone guessed I was 32. I think it was supposed to make me feel young but it had the opposite effect

Mentoring the new teacher at school and realizing they was born the year I started teaching!

Not just a co-worker, but my SUPERVISOR who was born 12 years AFTER I started my career.

I was going over suspect info for a vehicle trespass and did a double take that a male born in 2012 was 13 years old!! How is that possible?! I definitely felt old.

My youngest granddaughter was born in 2011, the same year I moved down to NC. I like to think that it was an easy way to remember how long I have lived here once dementia sets in. But absolutely nothing makes me feel older than the huge mirror in the bathroom that I have to look at as I step out of the shower. It's the subtle little things that get to me. Things like when for some reason I have to tell someone my age and they no longer say "My, my you don't look anywhere near that old". They prefer to just stay silent, but honest.

The latest, today, was discovering that June Lockhart died. Then thinking "why is it that it seems that so many people around me are dying?" Then the realization that it's all normal when you reach my age.
