There have been multiple complaints about the Roman shades not blocking the daylight very well, as there are gaps at the sides of the shades. This may be more of a problem at other times of the year, when the sun rises before 5:00 a.m., but not an issue at this time of year. I think the Roman shades also have been a year-round problem in those rooms facing the leisure pool, as the flood lights around the pool remain on overnight, and the gaps at the sides of the shades allow the extremely bright light to enter the room when guests are trying to sleep. We were at the Beach Club from Oct 24th to 30th. I had booked a garden view room and made a request for a full balcony. We were given room 4579 and loved both the room view and the location. It was close to the elevator by the leisure pool and not too far from the main elevators. We had a great view of Crescent Lake and the beach. There was a corporate party on the beach with a live band one night. I sat on our balcony listening to the music and it felt like I was right there. It was great. The only downside was that we couldn't see the Epcot fireworks or hear the music from it. We could hear the explosions, though.

The bank of small windows on the ground floor to the right is the BC Marketplace.

The new resort, Swan Reserve, is between the BWI and Dolphin in this picture.
This is a great view for a garden view room.![]()
The light coming in around the Roman shades wasn't too bad for this room, since there weren't any exterior flood lights near our room. But I still used some clothes pins to clip a big sheet of paper to the shades to block some of the light. A park map is a perfect size to use. There have been multiple complaints about the Roman shades not blocking the daylight very well, as there are gaps at the sides of the shades. Thanks for the responses. The BC has mostly tub/shower combos. The only walk in shower we ever had at the BC was in a handicapped room. You could switch to the YC if you would like a walk in shower, although they would be a request and not guaranteed.![]()
Yes, there is a single elevator which is close to the Tidal Pool. If you exit the Marketplace at the double doors adjacent to the doors that lead to BCV, take a right. Go about 50 feet and take your first right and you'll snake around a hallway [this is another 50 feet or so]. Right turn down the next hallway and elevator will be on your left. Hallway is maybe 150 feet until you get to the decision point. There will be a door to the pool and the elevator is right there.Hi all.
Is there another elevator aside from the main one behind the Marketplace?
Our room is a hike away from the main elevators and I was wondering if there may be another one somewhere.
Do club level guests still have access to concierge services, through email or a special phone number? Help making reservations, or like this guest, making a room request?
I haven't looked, but is there somewhere I can read about the current perks of a club level stay?
The current AP discount is for January 2nd to March 10th. Yacht Club has up to a 25% discount and Beach Club has 10% for these dates. If there are discounts for July then they most likely won't come out until the spring. Are there any good discounts for APs right now?? Haven’t booked a room in a long time.
So can I book something now and apply a discount to it when it comes out?The current AP discount is for January 2nd to March 10th. Yacht Club has up to a 25% discount and Beach Club has 10% for these dates. If there are discounts for July then they most likely won't come out until the spring.
Yes, you can apply the AP discount to your existing reservation if there is availability for that room with the discount. You might have to change room type or resort to get the discount, though. We were booked at the BC for February but switched to Yacht Club to get the bigger discount. So can I book something now and apply a discount to it when it comes out?
Sorry these sound like stupid questions. You’d think I’d know these things but since buying a condo haven’t needed to stay on property.
thanks for your help!

You can still do a room only reservation. I never book a package. I don’t know if you can still book 500 days out, as far as I know you can by calling. But you can definitely book a room only reservation.
