Resort Thread Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB Resorts

Sorry, yes I meant 499 days out! I think that's not happening at the moment. I'll just have to be patient and wait for 2023 packages to come out.

I'm not good at being patient. :D

Everything I read, including the Dreams Unlimited site, says you can book a room only reservation 499 (maybe 500) days out. But you have to call. Can’t do it online until the packages are released. But it is still happening if you call for a room only reservation. Just in case you reeealy want to book it early.

It was 499 from check-out for the longest time, then at some point post-reopening when Disney started taking bookings again it had moved to 500 days from check-in. But back in August when 500 days became 1/1/2023, they stopped taking bookings either online or via phone for that far out. I keep assuming they’ll eventually go back to allowing booking that far out by phone here at some point and someone should probably try calling just to see, but the latest reports I’ve seen around here (probably 3-4 weeks ago) were that people were told they couldn’t book room only for 2023 yet. FWIW!

Well I will take one for the team and call on 12/5! :D

I'll update....

That's what I was thinking, most of the rooms having balconies. It's been a long time since I've stayed on a club level floor. At some point, don't you receive a call from the concierge regarding any trip planning requests that you may have? I'm guessing that will not happen until after the club level floor opens a the BC in January.

I believe 75-80% of the club level rooms at the Beach Club have full balconies. IIRC, all of the garden view rooms (7 or 8 of them) have full balconies.

:thumbsup2

So excited that club level was reopening at YC that I just had to book a trip. So we’ll be there January 20-23. DH’s birthday is the 11th, so this will be a great late birthday celebration.

Great plan! I'll add you to the list.

:woohoo:

Please add me to the Be Our Guest list.

May 1 - May 6, 2022, BC Garden View Club Level.

Thanks!

Will do!

We will be back for another fun, fall, F&W trip--September 29, 2022 - October 7, 2022 -- BCV! Please add us.

We are wait listed for May, but really doubt that will come through. If not, no biggie--we will be right across the lake at DH's favorite BWV.

:welcome: back!

I'll add you to the list.

:goodvibes:

Just had my Dreams agent change my Dec 2022 room from water view to Club WV!

Got it!

Hi all just a short note about our shortened 1day stay. The evening of Oct 31 while in the room I fell and broke my hip. Reedy Creek was awesome… unfortunately the YC staffs were not. I was taken to Avent Health for a hip replacement. Wonderful Docs and staff. I was in for 4 days and transferred to a rehabilitation facility near my home in the Melbourne.

Long story short… the accident was my fault not Disney. The staff however was not helpful or empathetic. Never heard anything from Disney. I will send them a note when my head is clearer. Again, I want to stress the fall was my fault. I want nothing from Disney other than a notice that it was reported and staff will be better trained.

Enjoy your stay! Just be safe.

I am so sorry to hear this. Both that you were hurt, and that you didn't get any support from the YC staff.

Wishing you a speedy and complete recovery.

Several YC and BC scenes in the latest WDW resort commercial running frequently around here.

When we were there in July one morning I got up to run around 6 or so… walked out the back of BC only to find a very large camera crew set up with like 30-40 production people. Not what I expected at that time of day! Later on they were around the YC dock. I’m sure they have countless amounts of footage for various commercials, but I wonder if any of what they were doing in July went into this commercial.

Is Club Level at Yacht worth the cost? I know it is a very subjective, but I would love to hear some thoughts. My husband and I are planning on coming in February to celebrate our birthdays/anniversary.

Yup, they were. We were there around the same time and we saw the same crews at the pool one morning, on the dock abs in the lobby - it’s from the filming from what we remember. We saw those “families” in the commercial up close one morning in the lobby filming...

This is how I feel about the added cost of CL and at YC. When I want coffee, breakfast, snacks, light dinner and desert, I’m extremely happy that I have a place to go without fighting crowd, waiting, and or looking for something. So for the added cost, it’s worth it to me. To supplement I don’t get a dining plan or look to book restaurants every day. I may book one or two places that I love to eat at but I feel I am now eating on my time not by what I gave booked. Also from what I am hearing about the Genie +, and getting rides I’m feeling I maybe spending more time at the resorts (pool, boardwalk ) than beating my self up with securing ride times. Love the BC/YC area. Hope this helps

After a year away from WDW, we are coming "home" and the Yacht Club happens to be our landing spot.

Initially we booked at POFQ, but were hoping something would open up at the Yacht Club. We lucked out on Monday, 11/8/2021 and changed from POFQ to a water view at the Yacht Club. This trip is Epcot/HS heavy for us as 6 of our 8 days we will be at one or the other. We are excited to be able to walk to both parks again.

:welcome: back!

I'll add you to the Be Our Guest list.

We are finally returning to Y & B this summer!! I’m so excited about this trip! This will probably be our last family trip with our boys. It a celebration of me & DH’s 50th b-day, my parents’ 50th anniversary, my DS’s 21st b-day and my niece’s sweet 16.
Although the 50th b-days and anniversary were actually this year- my sister really wanted Tron and Guardians to be open. Crossing my fingers for that.
We haven’t booked yet bc we haven’t all agreed on a date. It’s going to be sometime in July. I’m guessing I need to book soon right??
Are there any good discounts for APs right now?? Haven’t booked a room in a long time.
Dee, will let you know when we have dates.

:welcome: back!

Sounds like an amazing family trip!

I'll pencil you in for July, then you can let me know the details once you have booked.

:woohoo:

Definitely decided to come back to Yacht or Beach for April 2023. It will both of our 50th b-days that year, but we are going to WDW while we are still 49 because I need to still be in my 40's for one more trip. 😂

I can't decide which to book though. Will probably just do a standard view if available (not concerned about a view this trip), garden view if not. Yacht has newer rooms, but something about Beach and just the light/airiness of it all pulls me too.

If they still did room only, I could book on Dec 5th!!! I wish they would start that again, I want a trip officially on the books! :D

So sorry for the frustration and anxiety you are experiencing about booking your trip.

I'll pencil you in on the 2023 list. You can keep Carol unsworth company.

:thumbsup2

:welcome: to this thread!

I'll add you to the Be Our Guest list we keep on Page 1, Post 15.

As others have suggested, the thread devoted to Club Level is a good source for information. On Page 1, Post 12 of this thread, there is a section about club level at the Yacht & Beach resort, including a few "Is it worth it?" and review articles. All are pre-COVID stays and I'm not even sure if all of the links are still active, but check it out!

::yes::

Dee - can you add us to the Be Our Guest List - August 2-11 GV BC.
We're coming home!

YAY!!!

Will do!

What am I missing? What's the Be Our Guest list??
Page 1, post #15 of this thread is a list "Be Our Guest" maintained by the extraordinary keeper of this thread for all individuals who have upcoming trips planned for YC, BC, and BCV. It's a fun way to announce your upcoming trip as well as seeing when others who frequent this thread have trips coming up. Who knows? You may even run in to one of your fellow posters on your next trip!

Hi all! Crew's Cup Lounge-is it a true Lounge that we can go in and just have wine if we want after the parks or is it more of a place to eat that will have a wait?

Thanks!!

It's more of a true lounge, albeit a small one. They have the standard bar with stool seating, a few booths on the left side as you enter the lounge and a comfortable lounge set up on your right as you enter. ETA: I added an image below.
