That does help, thank you! Yes, she said to call back and have the discount added to my reservation when they're released "next month", but I know not to trust everything they tell us. We've booked a standard room at WL, I'd love a 20% room only discount or higher (not interested in Stay Play Dine discount) - I guess I just need to be patient :( Thanks again!!

We got a pin code for Jan-Feb 2015 for 30-35% off and for this year Jan-Feb for 30% off at WL. The pin code for this year showed up in my email end of October. If you want a higher likely hood of getting a pin code, make sure to be logged into MDE when searching hotel dates. I've found that has worked pretty well.

The standard discounts at the times above were 20-25%, I believe.

FD is up! As expected because wilderness Lodge is already sold out, there is no availability for a check in on either November 27 or December 8 for six nights ...if anyone is looking for a room though for that first week in December at rack rate, they were previously sold out and they are now opening up I guess due to people switching to different hotels

I was able to get Wilderness Lodge room only discount this morning but all that was left was a bunk bed room. It's just my husband and me on this trip. It won't be that bad, will it? I mean we are used to the 2 queen beds at every resort we stay at. We accidentally got put into a bunk bed room last year at AKL and asked them to switch us because it seemed weird. I would rather save the money and take the bunk bed room than pay a LOT more at another deluxe resort. Convince me being in the room with a bunk bed is ok.
Also, how about construction at the end of September? Most if not all of it should be complete, yes?

You can keep checking back in MDE to see if anything opens up. I have had better luck the week after a discount gets released finding a room I wanted. We got a nice chunk of change off our room only CL WL reservation this morning. Another party with us got a nice discount with free dining and the other party with us didn't change because it is only two of them and they didn't want the bunk room for the small amount of discount they got since that room type was an upgrade over their original booking. So I will keep checking back for them. Right now with October being excluded I think this discount was pretty limited so I don't have a lot of hope. But you never know. fingers crossed.

You will have a little more floor space with the bunk bed than if you had two queen beds. And you can use the top bunk to store stuff. And you can keep looking for a regular room to open up. Rooms with the free dining offer open up later. So you might get lucky. :)

Hi! We booked a standard room with free dining this morning Sept 1-6. Can you recommend a good room number to request on touringplans? My DD24 and BF are trying to book now and all systems are down...bummer I hope they still can get it. Is construction slated to be done by then? This is our 1st time at WL, the only other deluxe we haven't tried is Yacht Club.

Most of the construction is supposed to be finished by the end of July, but you never know for sure until you get closer to trip date.

In all depends on what is most important to you when requesting a resort room. A request for a room close to the elevator in the north wing and the on the fourth or fifth floors would be my preference for a view of the MK fireworks.

I did put in 5066 but I am not sure if that is in the North tower.

Bunk bed question!!! Are the courtyard rooms the only ones that have bunk beds? Two years ago, we were 'woods view' and had a bunk bed, but standard view rooms are only listed at '2 Queen Beds'. Any help would be appreciated!!!!

There are bunk beds in standard, courtyard and club level rooms. :) But right now bunk beds in a standard view room are only a request, not a booking category.. Once they bring back the woods view category then they will add the bunk bed back as a booking option. :)

Booked a FD package for 12/18 without problem in the afternoon after the hoopla died down. I noticed a lot of WL room dates were opened that weren't in the morning so I would keep checking.

Also stayed there over spring break in a standard room by the villa construction and had an amazing MK view. I wasn't expecting that but got the tip from this thread. Amazing resort! It's now DDs favorite place to stay. Can't wait to see it dressed up for xmas.

All of Boulder Ridge Villas are in the seperate building near where the pool construction is going on correct? We got back yesterday from a AKL stay and going to book soon for Wl villas. Visited WL twice and ate at Geyser point.

I see that Geyser Point Bar & Grill is open until midnight. Does anyone know if the full menu is available until midnight? Do you think the hours would be extended in the summer? We will be arriving really late in June - could be close to midnight - and I was hoping for a place where we could sit and relax - and possibly eat a bite (without having to bring food with us from the airport)

Would you share the room number, if you remember?

Yes, the "Boulder Ridge Villas" are the original "VWL" villas on the South side of the main building, over near the bus stops. The pool over there is the one being replaced with a much bigger one as part of the construction project. The "Copper Creek Villas" are the villas in the main building and the new cabins along the water.

Staying here in August and cannot wait! Originally booked at POFQ but with the FD offer at WL it made it cheaper for us to stay here than POFQ!
Congratulations! With the QSDP at Moderates, WL becomes an even better deal. We enjoy the Port Orleans resorts, but absolutely love WL, especially for a honeymoon! We had ours at WL in 2007 and it has been our favorite resort ever since. We'll be there in August as well, just 107 days away...
