thank you for letting me know. guess i will be bringing mugs from last visit to reactivate. i just like using a carabiner to attach to my backpack. ah well...

We never take the mugs to the parks. They don't hold very much and you can't refill them at the parks except at Epcot's Club Cool as far as I'm aware. Doesn't make much sense to me!

I choose to fill my mug with coffee as we leave breakfast and take it with me and then I fill it back up on the way back from the parks. As its only my DD and I I don't want the added steps of taking it back to the room after breakfast or going to pick it up for evening snacking.

Guess it just depends on your touring style.

We will take a mug or two to the MK or Epcot. If we go to MK, we often visit resorts on the monorail line and fill up at a counter service location or in Epcot we sometimes stop at the BC for a drink.

Someone posted a few pages back that Disney had started to pump in the Hollywood Studios fireworks music along the Generation Gap bridge. Can anyone confirm if this is still happening?

The room FAX request form is a service offered by Touring Plans which has a small annual fee. I find the fee well worth the money.

Aside from that I think people just make up their own FAX requests if they send something to Pop.

Some people (not me) like to take their mugs to the parks so when they purchase drinks in a paper cup, they then pour them into their mugs because they're easier to carry (assuming they have a handle).

it can be really nice to bring your mugs if you go visit other resorts which we often do. i know you can't refill them at the parks, but we love to visit other resorts and it's nice to have them with us when we do.

I found the refurb photos on 206 and 208. Wow, pretty weird set-up. I am a single so I am glad I won't have to deal with that Murphy
bed but will there be more drawers? Where will the TV and fridge go? Coffeemaker will be cool tho... Hmmm wondering whether it will feel more or less claustrophobic?? I will be there at the beginning of Dec for my birthday trip:bday:. Have stayed at POFQ, AK, WL and PORS, but this place always seemed like HOME.
Hopefully they will have handle mugs (but I will bring an old one just in case). :coffee:

I feel like I have asked too many questions on here already....but here we go. We are headed to pop in now 11 days! Woot Woot! We were able to get the free dining offer but since my children are 2 and under they aren't on the plan. Thus, we are going to do an amazon prime pantry box so we don't have to worry about packing the non perishable items. I'm already to check out and have it sent (early, I know, but since there is lunch items for my little dude in there, I'd really prefer it there when we check in). My question is this - how long will POP hold a package for me? It is under 2 weeks now so I should be good, correct? And I would just send it under my name with a c/e of the resort? Thanks so much! This board has been very helpful!

although it's been a while, we have sent groceries to pop. at the time i called the resort directly and i think they told me to put my name and maybe my reservation number on the address? you might want to call them directly to ask. i am pretty sure i sent things a couple of weeks ahead of time and it was all there when we arrived. best of luck : )

I stayed at POP for the first time on my solo trip in May, LOVED IT! Now we are planning our family trip for next May and seriously considering POP (two rooms). When will the room refurb begin and in what section? Not really liking the idea of the pull down beds and non-carpeted floors.
