Does anyone have a real time number for riding the skyline from Pop to HS at 5:45? Wondering how long after opening we’ll get there.
Is it comfortable? Does that dramatically make the room a tighter fit when the table bed is out? Also what would be the best building to be closest to transportation and food court. If I choose a preferred room would that have the best luck to get that area, or is booking a standard room sufficient?
How long is the walk? My brother who I am going with has some disabilities and can't walk long distances.A preferred room will be closest to the lobby building with transportation and food, but I always book standard and the walk isn’t that bad.
As far as the beds, I have slept in both beds, and I actually prefer the Murphy bed to the regular bed. I like to read in bed, and the Murphy has a slanted headboard which supports my back nicely, as well as a lip around the edges to keep the mattress from shifting. It also has some nice Pluto artwork above the headboard and I am a Pluto fan, I have been known to sleep on the Murphy even when there alone. Having the bed down does make the room feel smaller than it does when it’s up, but it’s not too tight. We had three adults in one room the week after Hurricane Irma, along with a lot of extra baggage due to two of the party being there as evacuees. We used all the storage under the regular bed, but otherwise we were fine as far as space.
Approx 9-10 mins ‘in the air’ but there can be a line at CBR and the Skyliner can stop. It’s impossible to give an exact time between Pop and DHS as it depends on the line at CBR when you arrive.Does anyone have a real time number for riding the skyline from Pop to HS at 5:45? I've read a bunch but can't find what I am looking for... Please helpI have never stayed at POP and looking to book a room from 12/15/19 to 12/20/19. It will be two of us (siblings) and from the layout of the room there is one queen bed and then a table bed? I'm assuming it's a table that opens to a bed? Is it comfortable? Does that dramatically make the room a tighter fit when the table bed is out? Also what would be the best building to be closest to transportation and food court. If I choose a preferred room would that have the best luck to get that area, or is booking a standard room sufficient? We aren't interested in pool just going to Disney to ride rides and eat too much. Thanks
The furthest walk is probably 5-6 minutes but, you’ll walk quite a distance from the bus to the front if the park at many of the parks. Gave you been to WDW before? How long is the walk? My brother who I am going with has some disabilities and can't walk long distances.
I wonder if the sheets felt damp due to the air conditioner being set so low.Just left today after a fabulous 4-day weekend. The stuff I did was fabulous to be more specific.
Pop was generally fine. I was in Building 6 and WAY overcomplicated getting there at about 1am Saturday. My room was FRIGID. The thermostat was set at 62. I bumped it to 70 and the HEAT kicked on when the thermostat hit 66 on the way up. And the sheets felt like they had still been damp when put on. Possibly because those carts sit out in the humidity it dampened them, but I barely slept the first night because I was frozen and the damp of the sheets did not help. Around 5, I gave up and got up. After a hot shower, I clicked on the "Contact Us" link in the email and sent that (that box only lets you put 500 characters in, so I had to be brief) - I had an ADR at Garden Grill and thought that would be easier since it goes to the Duty Manager and is monitored 24/7. When I got back after hitting all 4 parks, the room had been totally serviced (in spite of turning down housekeeping) and the sheets felt a bit better. There were 2 messages from the morning duty manager, I called the number she left back and got a voice mail. I did stop by the desk Sunday morning to pass along a message since the duty manager never called back and let them know that things seemed to be better Saturday night, and I said they could let the duty manager know when they passed along the message that they could call my cell phone. The CM said "Oh, we don't like to use that because people won't know what it is and won't answer." I (I was very polite throughout this whole thing) said "Well, maybe. But most people are out in the parks all day, and no one is there to get the calls to the room" to which he nodded and said "You are right." Never heard anything else from them. It would have been nice if something had been offered since I got very little sleep the whole first night I was there because of the whole situation.
I survived and the rest of the trip was fantastic. But I do plan to send a follow-up email when I get home about it. There should be some way to keep the sheets from sitting out in covered bins in Florida humidity and making them damp. And rooms should most definitely not be left at 62 degrees by housekeeping. Even without damp sheets that is ridiculous.

Once the heater kicked in the room should have warmed up quite quickly. Heating warms up a room much faster than AC cools a room.Just left today after a fabulous 4-day weekend. The stuff I did was fabulous to be more specific.

Although I’ve never heard of others finding the sheets feeling damp, if they were damp as you said, I would have used the hair dryer to dry them so sleeping was more comfortable.
No compensation is required as you say as soon as you brought the concerns to Disney’s attention they corrected the problem and followed up with you.
Too many people feel Disney ‘owes’ them the moment things are perfect.
My husband would be in heaven if he walked into a super cold hotel room. The first thing he does is head for the thermostat. Lol.You may have been in the room I was in 6335? I like my room to be cold when I sleep the more blankets the better. We usually turn the thermostat back on our last day when we leave the room. We left on Sept. 14th.

I like the hair dryer idea.I don’t think I would have thought of that.
I probably would have just gone to the front desk and asked for new sheets or extra blankets.
