DVC X RunDisney

I really recommend getting in the waiting room a bit before 10am EST with as many devices as you can.
Get help! When it was time for DD to sign up for the 2025 marathon, we were at her house, and between the four of us I think we had six or eight devices open. When we got a sign up link, we sent it to her. She signed up via the first one and shared the others via the thread on the runDisney forum here.

I plan to get the whole team in the office signing up for me 😂

Hey there! I'm hoping this is an acceptable forum to post this. I'm curious of how much overlap there is between DVC ownership and having either a platinum or gold Club runDisney membership?

My wife and I were at WDW in January for our first in-person runDisney event. Needless to say, we fell in love (with the event and runDisney; we were already in love with each other!). We are both avid runners, and we are talking about making marathon weekend and annual event for us - assuming we can both register for one of the main events. At this point, I have a silver Club runDisney membership, and she does not have any membership level. I hope we both end up getting platinum or gold in the coming years so we have less registration anxiety during the general public window.

We also love Riviera and are currently looking at our options for DVC there. Our kids are older now, but things like runDisney events and possibly DCL sailings out of Florida give me reason to want to be DVC members too.

Anyhow, I'm definitely curious to know how much overlap there is between DVC ownership and the higher tiers of Club runDisney. Thank you!
We just became DVC owners last year because of our race trips. However, I see club RD as a shameless money grab and refuse to support it, personally 😅 I have many friends who love it, but for me the price is not worth the benefits. I have never yet been unable to register for a race I wanted (knock on wood!).

I agree, I think it's outrageously priced, even by Disney standards.

Anyone else super excited and ready to go for Princess week? We leave for BWV tomorrow, first flight out and I am having a hard time trying to focus today. LOL! Hope everyone going has the best race(s) yet! 💜
Yes! We were supposed to fly out tomorrow morning, but the impending winter storm and forecasted snow made us cancel our flights (lost $300, hmph) and opt to drive after work today instead. Can't wait!

OMG!!! How stressful!!! But I am so glad you had a Plan B ready!! Safe travels and have so so so much fun!!!

Just got back from PHM weekend (did the challenge and got my C2C) with a split stay between Poly Tower and RIV. Will be at RIV at SS. It willl be much more relaxing as I will be doing the 5K only (6-night stay). For W&D (5K and half), I will be at BCV. Hoping to do MNSSHP the Tues beforehand.

I am DVC and CrD gold. I bought into DVC because of rD. I initially joined CrD to guarantee my registration for Dumbo (to maintain perfect Dumbo status), but it became unnecessary since rD recognized us and provided early registration to all legacy runners. However, I grew accustomed to not worrying about registration for the one race I really want each race weekend (whatever the distance may be), and only logging in on general registration days to get a second race, that I kept and will continue to keep the membership. I have never used the early expo entry benefit because I am no longer interested in race weekend merchandise (been running rD races since 2012 and don’t need anymore stuff). In fact this past weekend I didn’t enter the rD merchandise section at all, LOL…

My FOMO might kill me when this weekend comes around. I’m so sad I LOVED the theming but this weekend doesn’t seem feasible right now…besides I already signed up for Disneyland Halloween half and 10K this year followed by all the W&D races. I think some control was necessary 🤦🏼‍♀️

Congrats to all who registered, hope it’s the best race!

😂 The fear of FOMO is what got me to enter. We already had our trip booked and I have a fall marathon already scheduled (my A race) which I figured gives me the chance to have a relaxed Disney marathon. Make good choices right???

Signing up for the MW seems stressful lol.. we will be doing our first ever RD event at the springtime surprise weekend… since our points have us booked at the Rivera this coming August we had to take advantage of the Canadian resident discount and stay at Allstar sports.. can’t wait to head down for the weekend and enjoy some warm weather and experience the weekend!
