From what I've read, on the days that the monorails are operating on the modified schedule (which won't be every day) they will run normally until 11:00 am, so you should have no problem before that time. I have also read that this current schedule should not still be in effect for your dates, although there is always the possibility it will be extended in some form.Hi! We are scheduled to stay at CBR from 3/28 to 4/2 however I have a chance to change over to Poly. We have never stayed at Poly before and have always wanted to stay at a monorail resort however I am having some reservations about staying there with the possibility of the monorail being down. So does anyone know, IF the monorail is still on a modified schedule what are my options for getting to the MK for 7 am EMH rope drop? (If they are announced for that week.). Also is the TTC a far walk from Poly? Is it like walking from the contempo to MK (distance wise)? Would boats be running for EMH from poly? I am trying to determine if paying the extra for a monorail hotel is still worth it without full use of the monorail. Thanks!!!
Walk to TTC is less than walk from CR to MK. We walked there and caught busses for our pre-park open ADR in Epcot and to MK the day the monorail was down during our trip. It's not as convenient as the monorail, obviously, but being so close to TTC makes it much easier on Poly guests than those at other monorail resorts!Hi! Hi! And congrats on your first post! The "best" longhouse differs for a lot of people. If you plan on spending a lot of time at the pool, Samoa would be a great choice. First floor rooms would cut out having to use the elevators with a stroller, and would give you a nice patio. I believe Tokelau is only DVC rooms only. I personally like Aotearoa. It is close to the GCH, and has rooms that face the Monorail, which is pretty magical. Look for the Tikimanpages website for a great breakdown of pros and cons. And have a great time!Hi All,
I have been viewing a lot on the DIS Board, but this is my very 1st post! Our 1st family vacation will be in April and we are staying at the Poly- garden room. Cast of characters will be DH, DS1- 2 1/2 , DS2- who will be turning 1 while in WDW! and myself. Looking to be centrally located to GCH and TTC. Which longhouse would you recommend? Samoa, Rarotonga, Tokelau, other? 3rd floor or 1st since we will have 2 strollers?
TIA!
Thank you! I will add this to my reservation room request! We choose Fiji overlooking the marina .. quiet, close to pool and GCH

I would recommend Samoa. It is close to the GCH and close to TTC, pool, beach. Pool view rooms can be a little noisy so maybe ask for GV. That would be my choice!Hi All,

All lake view studios have a fireworks view. 1st floor rooms might not be able to see the castle due to the bungalows, but you should still be able to see the fireworks. Are there any DVC - Studio Villas that face MK for a view of the fireworks?

PERFECT!!! Thank you!!!We had a great view last night from the DVC Lake View Studio Villa at Moorea.
What is a good longhouse to request if we are staying in a DVC deluxe studio? I know there are only a couple to choose from, but I have no clue which oneTIA
I'd like to know the answer as well! I'm looking now at booking a trip end of May..but August would be much more convenient!!! We are doing a Fantasy very Merrytime cruise in November, and I'm trying to not go crazy (money wise) on this summer trip.. I've been looking at Boardwalk or WL.. Would much rather go back to the Poly if a good deal!
Hello,
I am looking at possible room only (cash) bookings and there is about exactly the same price for a regular room (standard view) and a DVC studio (standard view).
With both the same price, which do you think would be preferable for two adults?
Thanks

Anyone know if the extended hours for Trader Sams over the Holiday period stayed, or has it gone back to normal?
