A deluxe studio will fix the bathroom problem for you. I'm sure Disney will release a deal for a studio between now and August. Enjoy your planning...your 180 day window is coming up!

The deal that is offered that the OP is booked on, is standard/garden view only. The bathrooms at the Poly while not split - are very, very spacious!

The last time we stayed on the "deal" we paid $212US per night ;)
My quote for 2016 was well in keeping...

That certainly is a great deal! I'm not sure you can get a deal like that for a deluxe studio!

Does anyone have experience renting a cabana? Thinking I would like to plan a resort day!

We will staying in the Hawaii longhouse, Garden view room in August. I was thinking of requesting a ground floor room thinking that it would convenient and give the feeling of having a bigger patio area. Should I request ground floor or third floor? Is there a lot of noise with ground floor rooms?

This response won't really answer your question but I've done several Poly CL TPV and GV stays and always requested (and been given) a third floor room. Just my personal preference to not have the chance of any noise or footsteps from above (although like I said, can't really say if that's a valid concern or not). One thing you may want to do in your room request is to say "ground floor room first preference, third floor room second preference" or something along those lines to increase the likelihood of not getting a second floor (no balcony) room. Have a great stay!

Please bear with a total newbie here! We've done six trips to Disney--first three were in Value resorts, last three were at POFQ. Then I heard about a magical deal and can't resist staying at Poly this August! But this opens up a whole new world!

I've booked a standard room. Am I right that that means the following longhouses: Aoteoroa, Fiji, Niue, Rarotonga, Samoa, or Tuvalu? If so, are there any real standouts? I know it's the Poly, so you really can't go wrong and everyone has their preferences.

And do they all have patios on the first floor and balconies on the third, with nothing on the second floor? With the values and moderates, of course, we never had outdoor space so I definitely want to be able to take advantage of that. Can I make the request of not a second floor? I'm sure that's very popular.

The one thing I'm disappointed at, though, is no separate sink area to the bathroom. At POFQ, you have the toilet and tub shut off with a door, then the sinks with a curtain separate from the main room. Makes it so much easier when four of us are trying to get ready in the morning! I'm sure we'll make due but I was just really surprised.

I'm sure I'll have a million more questions before August so thank you all in advance!

I was there in September. Had a theme park view room in Tuvalu. We LOVED it!!! Perfect because is quiet, convenient, amazing views, 2 beaches, and so close to the boat launch that we only used the monorail once. Have fun!!!!

What magical deal?
I'd like to know the answer as well! I'm looking now at booking a trip end of May..but August would be much more convenient!!! We are doing a Fantasy very Merrytime cruise in November, and I'm trying to not go crazy (money wise) on this summer trip.. I've been looking at Boardwalk or WL.. Would much rather go back to the Poly if a good deal!

We are currently in a GV patio room in Hawaii. We hear no noise at all from the construction when the patio door is closed. We hardly notice that it is going on when the door is open.

Having the grass beyond the patio has been very nice, as the boys have enjoyed some light saber battles out there because we won't let them do it in the room.

Thanks for the input. That's what I was thinking it would be a little extra room for the kids.

Hi! We always stay at CBR every time we go. Could never afford a deluxe resort. However my father wanted to take a big family trip with us kids and my niece and wants to treat us to the poly since its been our dream resort. We always go down at the end of August for vacation. I saw someone post something about a great price for their vacation for August but we didn't see any specials out yet. Can someone let me know where to look because usually we can scope out a good rate but like I said haven't seen anything for August yet.
Also is Samoa far from the ttc? We think it would be good to be close to that so we can take the monorail to Epcot easily. We are only booking a standard room (can't afford more) and are not part of the vacation club. Any info or advice would be so helpful! Thanks!

I'm not sure how much we can say or not about the deals for the Labor Day time period. But if you do a little Google research for magical deals I'm sure you'll find something.

Single digit happy dance!!:dancer: can't wait!!

Your trip will be here before you know it! :cool1::cool1:

Hi everyone! I`m sure this has been asked several times but I couldn`t find the answer with a quick search. When is the construction at the Poly expected to be completeÉ I am considering an August trip; do you expect the east pool will be ready by thenÉ Also, if anyone knows how to make my question mark turn back into a question mark instead of a french accented E that would be great too. :) lol

I think the original completion date was March, but the start of construction was delayed. My guess is completion will be sometime closer to summer, but I haven't been following the progress so hopefully others will be able to give a better time frame.

2 weeks until our Poly CL stay!!! We've done Poly several times and keep coming back...it's our favorite. We are so spoiled by the convenience. Can't wait to watch the fireworks from the lounge!!!

Hope you have a great trip! :jumping1:

You will love the Poly! If having a balcony or patio is your preference, I'd put in a request for no second floor. Sometimes requests get overlooked, so if you are assigned a 2nd floor room, you can always ask if a different room is available. It's not guaranteed a ground floor or 3rd floor will be available, but it never hurts to ask :).

1 more sleep until our first Poly stay!! :cloud9: Longest work day ever... Here's hoping that the lake effect snow stays away and we are able to fly out ok...

Have a great time :yay:.

Just changed my March reservation of 2 nights YC/3 nights CBR to 2 Poly/3 CBR!! There was only TPV available when I booked originally, but luckily a standard opened up so we switched for only $70 more. It's my Mom's dream resort so she's thrilled! We all are! I requested Fiji - West facing.

I really want a Dole Whip right now!!! :)

Mom2AidanAndEli...

We stayed in a standard/garden view room in Aotearoa on the August deal you are speaking of :)
Loved it! Steps from GCH, a stroll through the marina to the boat to the MK and main pool. And the view was awesome - third floor facing the Luau Cove and GF. We watched Wishes from the balcony & could hear the Opening Show/Rope drop in the mornings!
We had originally been assigned a room on the opposite side of the hall - facing the monorail... I innocently mentioned that we had hoped for the other side of the building & with a smile and a few computer clicks, we were pixie dusted. ;)

Our view...

Love the magic band!!!! So cute!

With the new monorail modified schedule I was curious what the bus situation is like between Epcot and poly. Any recent experience? Long lines or waits? Does is often share a bus with another resort?

Does anyone know if we are less likely to get our room requests if we do that magical deal in august? Has anyone had experience getting the room requests they wanted with that? We really want connecting rooms, a certain longhouse and 3rd floor.

How/where you book has zero affect on getting your requests granted.
