Just back from a CR and Poly split stay, but given the new MK path we visited GF quite a bit. I LOVE the path, especially this time of year when it’s not 100 degrees.

If anyone is curious, the distance from the GF main building “back door” by GF Cafe to the CR lobby is exactly 1.25 miles. Walk time for us was 25 minutes. Of course you have to get temp and security check at MK, but with the new (totally awesome) walk-thru security scanners that process takes seconds.

Not between GF and MK.

Looks like RPC rooms now used. I stopped counting after 12 lights on, Rooms on 2nd floor and above.

Also they are running ewp in the canal and testing, We happened to walk over there and watched it. Maybe after iso many months not used it has kinks?

Lol, yeah, we were at the bridge the other night when they moved it open. They were testing various parts of the audio and lights back in the canal. Watching the whole process of the bridge opening and EWP heading out was fascinating!

Hi Everyone,
We had a wonderful brunch at Grand Floridian Cafe today and then headed to the airport to come home. I bought a beautiful $65 GF bag/purse at the little shop near the cafe.

I used my new bag on the airplane and the handle broke!!! And it looks like the other one is about to also break.

Does anyone have any experience or know who I can contact about seeing if I can send back the broken one to get a new one?
I am so sad!!!

Hi there

I would call the GF shop where you purchased it or Guest Services. They used to offer you a replacement of something you purchased if it broke on the way home. You have to have the receipt and I am not sure with all the changes if they still offer this, but I would call.

Btw - I love it, so pretty!

Wilderness Lodge has always been our Christmas time resort of choice (we were married there too) but I am happy to say GF gave us that same wonderful holiday experience we were looking for. Already planning for another GF stay for next Christmas.
Grand Floridian Cafe is still my favorite restaurant! We even ordered it twice through room service, in addition to eating at the restaurant.

Loved the special surprise of getting a room with a turret, and loved the new walkway to MK.

Below are a few pictures. (Not sure why my dresser pictures are sideways)

Great pictures, thanks for sharing!! How was that cake pop?? I was this close to buying it one evening, but went with a Mickey Bar instead. Wasn’t sure if I’d like it. Happy you had a good trip!

It was delicious! I was this close to also buying another one to take home yesterday! It has like a gooey brownie inside.
Mickey Bar is the one thing I didn’t have this trip.

Joining this thread for my very first GF stay in March...be gentle with me. I am SO EXCITED! Assuming this trip holds, I'm surprising my sister with a trip for her birthday. She has always wanted to stay at the Grand (as have I) and this will also be her first time staying Deluxe (and my second - first time was Yacht in September, I am forever ruined for other room categories!)

I'm casually browsing the thread info but if there is anything I absolutely MUST try/see/do or any requests that are good to make for a sublime visit I'm all ears!

So EWP is going on now 8:30. I think they aiming to MK for people on boats leaving?

‘I’ll check but it seems like I hear it from my room 3 times a night, (or more). Gf,Poly and MK versions. Old days they did MK version late at night.
Edit: heard and saw part 8:30 then heard a 9p but none after.

Just ran into RPC 3rd floor cm desk Sherri at check in . I asked about main building rooms . She said building 8 lost hot water heater so people moved .

Also Christmas decor coming down 6th.

Same! Taking wife and kids week of March 15. Not our first deluxe but will be our first time at the Grand. Love the monorail resorts! I'm hooked for life after staying at the Poly 2 years ago.
