Disney's CORONADO SPRINGS RESORT Information & Questions

Hello,

We're staying at CSR in December and have a Preferred Room booked. We are rope droppers. Does anyone know if the bus stops near the preferred rooms pick up first? I want to avoid missing bus pick ups because they are filled up. Thanks.

Coronado is really a good about their bus system, at least it was the last 3 times I have visited.

The closest to the preferred rooms is the main bus stop by El Centro which is the first stop the buses make so go there if you don't want it to be filled by the time it gets to you!

Actually, the stop at El Centro is the last stop for park buses (but first for Downtown Disney buses). Station 2 is the first stop for park buses. Its close to Casitas 4.

Hi there:wave2: When we stayed in Aug. we were in Casitas 4 (perfect location IMO). Not preferred, but the preferred rooms are Casitas 1, 2, or 3 I believe. The bus stop for Casitas is stop 4. The theme park busses when we were there picked up in this order: stop 4, 3, 2, 1. That is also the order listed on the first page of this thread. Busses were NEVER full, even after leaving bus stop 1. Of course we were there during a fairly slow time:) Anyway, if nothing changes you should be at stop 4 and get picked up first for the parks. However, the DTD/water park bus does the opposite route, or did in August. Enjoy your stay!

Bus stop #2 is casita, #3 is rancho, #4 is cabana and #1 is main building. Park buses start at Stop #2 and DtD buses start at stop #1.

The preferred rooms really don't have a bus stop. Those rooms are in between stops #1 and #2.

One week from today we will be there!!!! I can't wait!!!

Do people decorate their doors/windows at CSR BC? We were shopping yesterday and found Mickey and Tinkerbell Halloween themed window clings, Mickey Halloween wall art (that dd wants to put on the outside of our door) and Mickey Mouse head Halloween lights to hang in the window. DD wants to decorate but if that isn't done in the BC area then we won't pack them. Thanks!

Hi. .. We stayed BC and we decorated or windows. I plan to again next month! Have fun.

Just back from a 5 day stay at CSR and had a blast celebrating our daughters 18th birthday. Had a VERY clean room at CSR in the Ranchos facing the quiet pool on the top floor. No noise at all and had a great time at Food & Wine and all the parks. Weather was great no rain at all. Had the free DDP and took advantage of it. Went to all 4 parks and one day even did the Studios then Epcot and capped the day at the MK and as we were walking thru the park to the Jungle Cruise we saw Wishes from below the castle as we walked from Tomorrowland to Adventureland. So all in all a GREAT vacation and get away. And yes we did see a few windows decorated for Halloween and even one window that the kids had several vinylmation characters set up along the ledge inside the room.

Anyone know how many or what the make up (king/queen queen) is for connecting rooms is business class?

Hello! We will be arriving Saturday (10/11) for a split stay at CSR & WL. First time at both of these resorts. We were just wondering since the CSR rooms have a desk & chair instead of a table & two chairs, is it possible for two people to comfortably eat in the room? Thanks!!

I need help with room request, I'd appreciate it very much, as I have never made request before. I'm leaving in a month for CSR standard room, stayed 2 yrs ago and really loved it. Our room was about as far back as possible and had to walk 8-9 minutes to get to Pepper market. This trip it will be 2 adult daughters, 2 Granddaughters (2yrs old and an infant). Crowds and noise don't bother me at all. Just hoping for less of a walk to the main bldg. Legs are not what they use to be, and want to save my strength for the parks. (Too stubborn to give in and get a scooter). Will celebrate my 65th and will be happy just to be in Disney.

IMHO no. It's a desk with one chair. There's no way two people can sit at the desk comfortably to eat. One person would be on an ottoman sitting much lower. This is one of the drawbacks of CSR. Others will tell you it's no problem but I'm a realist.

I just got back from a week's stay at CSR ( our first time there). I had requested on the reervation, bldg. 9A, but when I checked in, she started to give me Bldg. 5. I asked if there was anything available in 9A, and was given it. I'm glad we got it, as it's the closest non-preferred building to El Centro ( believe), and it has a quiet pool with rest room, and you can walk undercover if it's raining, until you get to the bridge. I would ask for it again.

Just received a phone call that preferred king rooms will be under refurbishment while we are there (11/30-12/6). Told us we could take a standard king room, or be moved to a preferred room at Caribbean Beach. Since we would only have two double beds at CB, I opted for a standard king room at CS... Hopefully made the right decision!
Just wanted to give an update on the refurbishment that will be taking place.

Yes, its possible. There are two ottomans and a desk chair. Is it a perfect situation, no, but it can be done.

This past weekend I also received a call that preferred rooms will be under refurbishment while we are there (11/20-11/29).

They also gave us the option to move to a standard room or a preferred room at Caribbean Beach.

I asked what other options and they offered us preferred room at Port Orleans - Riverside which we decided to go with.

Guess I should've asked what my other options were! Oh well... I'm sure we will still enjoy CS...

The standard rooms closest to El Centro are in Casitas 4 and Cabanas 9A. Either one is probably a 5-minute walk. You might want to request 1st floor - sometimes it's a long walk from the end rooms to the centrally-located elevators.

We'll be there in a month, also! Can't wait to be at CSR!

Did they mention crediting you with the difference between the preferred and standard room rates? Make sure they do - sometimes they don't immediately offer to do so.

I asked on the call, and they said if there was a difference, they'd refund us. The newer receipt they sent me though shows no difference in price.
