Not at all odd! I'm pretty sure you can walk to the pool from your patio. However, you should have a pool view room. If you are on the other side, you would have to walk all around the building so it'd probably be quicker to walk down the interior hall and out.

Have a great trip!!

THANKS, Bambi!! Ivan needs to DIE!!!

Well I have just read the 26 pages of this thread! You folks are great! Especially Kimberle and BT!

I have read so much info, that I have confused myself (not hard to do for me:rolleyes: )

The 12th floor rooms....do they sleep 4 or 5 people? Thinking about CR for next summer (my DS wants to stay there because it reminds him of an airport:confused3 ). We will definitely be 4 people, but may bring along a friend of DS to make 5...just wondering if we should entertain the idea or not. Do the tower rooms on floors other thatn 12 and 14 sleep 5?

Thanks for all the info!

Lynn

Its my understanding that all rooms have 2 queen and a daybed. That means they would sleep 5 plus a child under 3.

All tower rooms have 2 queens and daybed except for the 14th floor regular concierge rooms. They either have a King or 2 queens.

HOORAY!!! Just on a whim decided at 10:54 pm last night to check and see if we could find concierge availability for our last night of our Dec trip. Would you believe they had the 14th floor 2 queen beds available at an AP rate?! It was $90 off for the night and only $70 more than the lodge tower room we had at GF. More resort switching, but I think it was meant to be.

I do have a couple of questions after pouring over this entire thread (NEVER looked into CR until I saw BT's pix!) One, where do the 14th floor guests check in? I know the Dec hours haven't come out yet but we were trying on our last night to do Chef Mickey's and see Wishes from our room. What time should I plan for? Would we be allowed visitors? I am asking b/c my dh has a good friend who moved there and we were thinking of getting together for Chef Mickeys and maybe having them up to the room for the fireworks and quick visit. Won't be long b/c it will be a school night for his kids but I was wondering if they allow this at all.

Thanks!

Lisa:wave2: :earseek:

I almost forgot, Kimberle I'm going to be hounding you for info and pix upon your return! Have a great stay:wave2:

you bet, I'm so looking forward to our stay.

Be sure to check our Bambi's pictures! She's got around 90 posted. She posted the link on this thread, back a few pages.

cajunfan - thanks! I try to help the best I can!

Just booked my weekend escape - Nov 19 - 21st...I have stayed in the North Wing before.

How are the chances for upgrades??? WL is usually pretty good about bumping you up.

Betsy, I'm not sure how frequent the upgrades are at CR. We were not upgraded during our stay.

I guess you just need to flirt, errrr, ask, during check-in. ;)

BAH!!! That was funny...flirt!! What if it's a female CM!!

Anyone have a good room suggestions....wings and tower...Thanks!

Is there a refridgerator in the room (std wing rm) or do you need to request one and pay a nightly fee? Thanks.

I beleive that as of 18th August this year all moderates and deluxes now have a refridgerator in the room for no extra charge.

We stayed in a tower room on 19th August and there was one. :jester:

Really??? WOW!! That is nice!!! I saved a buttload of money by bringing juice boxes and uncrustables for snacks for my then 3 yo.

This may have been answered already, but I'm still confused. The standard wing rooms are parking lot view only? The map I looked at shows the parking lot on MK side, so would you also be able to see MK from here? Or is there different standard wings? Just trying to figure out where we could possibly be staying or if I should request something in particular for view. We have a standard wing room booked.
