Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

Morning! Just booked GF CL RPC this morning for October 29 - Nov 5. Been waiting to book in hopes to have discounts for my days to come out. Well, I noticed today that a general public code came out so I excitedly went to book & was quickly heartbroken to see all the CL rooms gone!! I panicked but then realized they were all still available at the regular room rate. Phew!! So I booked my room at the regular rate. Anyone know of having luck adding the rate after it's already "sold out"? For example, will they release more rooms at that rate? Also, I still have hope for an AP rate... do you think those go just as quick??? I was shocked to see I had already missed that rate by 8:30am this morning! Either way we're staying here as this is a very special trip re-celebrating my 30th b-day since my actual 30th b-day trip last year was a disaster!

(We were celebrating DS's first trip & first b-day the first week only to have my husband on our second day fly home which was DS's b-day morning because his dad became suddenly ill & in ICU and only three days later ended up passing away totally unexpected while DS & I were still in FL as he was expected to come out of it. We had a DCL cruise planned for the following week that fell on my 30th b-day & of course we didn't get insurance so we would lose everything if we didn't go, so after almost a week at WDW by myself with my DS, while I was pregnant, & my husband home in turmoil, he flew back to get on the cruise with us. Only to have a rainy first half of the cruise & all three of us end up sick in bed with the noro virus for the sunny, second half & my 30th b-day. It was awful!! We already felt guilty to go on the cruise after his father's death but DH's family convinced us it was the best place to grieve. Not so much. So my husband wanted to make this trip extra special, but I'd still like to save some money!)

I don't know about CL, but I had luck a few days after the discount was released last year finding rooms in my dates that were not there the first day. Just keep checking. Also sometimes adjusting a day in one direction (if you haven't bought airfare) can work too.

Will you please add our upcoming CL trips to the list?

Yacht Club club level 7/3-7/9

Wilderness lodge club level 9/25-9/28 (split stay - moving to Bay lake tower 9/28-10/2)

Thank you!

Does anyone have recent pics or feedback with WL club level? This is my kid's favorite CL (and we've stayed poly CL, GF CL, and AKL club level in addition to WL CL). I'm just concerned about the new location of the OFC in the VP suite. Wondering if it will still be there in Sept, and also if they have reopened seating around the top overlooking the lobby?

Does anyone know if GF Sugarloaf has bathrooms like this as well? Our return flight doesn't leave till 6pm and it would be nice to have someplace to change for swimming etc.
I have done the change at the pools but I prefer the 2nd floor bathroom near Citricos in the main lobby. During the day it is not very busy. Last summer I got ready there to head home and had the place to myself and it was dry and clean too!

Hmm... Must not have been many/any RPC rooms allocated to that offer? I bet you that week is pretty popular though, with Halloween and all. I tend to book late, in the 60-120 days range, so I've had to tinker with dates and view categories at times (pre-AP days) to make it work, especially in the fall (I blame free dining for gobbling up demand for rooms and discount allocations). Just keep at it!

Hi- this thread was so helpful to me so just wanted to provide a quick review.

We stayed Poly CL GV 4/16-4/22. My Mom (70) and my twin sons (14). We stayed in room 3524 which was perfect. We loved the ease of entering the lounge from the 3rd floor. All of the CM's were great.

We were not greeted off of ME, but at check in at GCH the CM made a call and escorted us to Hawaii to continue the check in. Our check in was special and perfect. Without my Moms knowledge I had contacted IPO and requested a sunflower lei. (My brother passed suddenly in July and my Mom had a thing with sunflowers with him... And the only time he went to Disney was our first time as a family in 1984 and we stayed at Poly so I knew this would be in her mind). IPO said the island guide couldn't make a sunflower lei fearing it would fall apart easily so asked if they could use fake sunflowers and make a headpiece. I just said to do whatever they wanted. After the check in, the CM said OH wait, we have something for you. He placed the headpiece on her head and also put a sunflower bracelet on her wrist. It was beautifully done and perfect.

Club ended up perfect for us. We used it every morning except our BOG early breakfast day. We popped in almost every afternoon, and every night we were there for the 5-7 service. We watched Wishes one night from inside the lounge. We are not sushi people so that was the only bust for us. I was hoping there would be some other hot option besides the sushi, but there wasn't. It wasn't a big deal at all though. There was plenty of other stuff to satisfy us.

My boys loved the uncrustables. They also had mini corn turkey dogs a few nights for the kids. But, my two also ate the adult offerings as well. I asked for a couple of uncrustables to bring to the pool one afternoon and was given them no problem.

Feel free to ask any questions.

Does the IPO usually handle the requests for room arrangements? Did you have to pay for the lei and other items?

Definitely keep checking! It might be that there were only a few rooms available under the discount and all of them are already booked or RPC wasn't included for your time frame, but it never hurts to keep checking as sometimes things do change and you just might get lucky. I also wanted to say I'm sorry about your FIL and that your trip last year didn't go as planned. I hope this upcoming trip is special and you enjoy RPC :wizard:.

As TeeterTots posted, you can give IPO any requests. You can also have them noted with CRO as well, as it never hurts to have requests in 2 places :).

I was watching CR last year at this time because my mother wanted to go the week before Halloween (she left Disney on the 31st). I was very surprised at how quickly the rooms filled up. There was little to no room availability 3-4 months before. It is a popular time so good thing you reserved what you wanted.

Hello everyone,

We've booked YC CL for a long weekend stay in June. We're in town for a family function over the weekend and not doing any parks, so we're staying at YC solely for the pool. We booked a garden view CL because the 30% off rate was available (!!!) and we wanted an easy breakfast option. We've been going to the Yacht club since it opened, but this will be our first CL stay. One thing I couldn't figure out - YC and BC share pretty much everything, but does that include club rooms as well or are those resort-specific? Just want to make sure if we're in the pool and want to go grab a snack or drink from the club room, that we head in the right direction. Thanks!

Clubs are resort specific, so you would have to go to YC to access the lounge :).

Hello! Just booked club level at the Poly. This is our first Poly stay and we actually already had a standard room package booked with the dining plan but when FD dropped yesterday, the only way to modify my package was to bump up to CL. (It actually dropped my total by over $200 somehow so I'm not complaining one bit.) We've never stayed CL at any Disney resort before. I already have all my ADRs booked so is there anything else I need to contact the IPO for or will they contact me? Also, I was a little stressed with our initial reservation because I wasn't sure which long house we should request or avoid. There were so many opinions but with CL I'm understanding that we would most likely be staying in Hawaii. Any thoughts about this particular building location and more specifically the garden view rooms as that is what I booked.

@TigrLvsPooh can you add us to the Poly CL list for 9/15-9/20? Thanks!

If you have all your ADRs already, then you don't need IPO for that, but you could give them your room requests. You will be put in the Hawaii building. You could request floor (1-3) depending on what you prefer, and also to be closer or farther from the lounge. Hawaii isn't really that big, so even when we've had the room 2nd farthest from the lounge it wasn't bad in terms of convenience.

Can anybody tell me anything about the deluxe king room at GF RPC or the TPV? Would you pay an extra $100 for the king room or $200 for the TPV? We are booked in a standard RPC room. I know people will have different views on "value" but I really need some advice. The extra cost is not an issue but I don't want to just throw away money and be disappointed. Are the room locations "better" or is there any other appreciable value to these two types of rooms? Any advice is appreciated!

We've stayed both standard and TPV in RPC. The TPV rooms have a nice view of the castle, but I really liked our standard RPC room with a view of the courtyard pool. We could still see the high fireworks (of course the view was much better from the TPV for that), and our room was closer to the lounge.

@TigrLvsPooh Erika, put me back on that Poly Party list in July...the Pas crew is booked 7/28-8/5 in 2 GV CL rooms (again) :rolleyes1
:disrocks:party:

SO excited to see my DIS friends :grouphug:
@AliceIn my DS is 15 so he will definitely be down to make some friends (since his siblings are ages 7 to 11) :goodvibes

So glad you are coming! We're there until the 30th, so hopefully our sons can hang out and maybe do some parks together. Woo hoo!

The second floor rooms don't have balconies, so if that's important, make sure you request either 3rd for the balcony, or the first floor for the patio. I'm staying Poly CL in about a week and I requested 1st floor in the middle of the rooms, so I'm not near the elevator and/or ice machine. I've never been at Disney, but I've stayed at other hotels where I was near the ice machine and it was pretty awful.
